In order for me to explain how great this episode is, I'm really going to have to say the whole plot. It features Scrooge and his nephews going to climb Mount Neverrest. Okay, kind of a lame pun, but it's still a great episode. What I love about it is how I simply could not predict what was going to happen next. At one point, Hewey says that he's going to put his foot down. I felt for sure that meant he was going to literally put his foot down and cause an avalanche, but it didn't happen. Also, you'd think they'd do the easy thing and simply be able to climb the mountain. No, instead we great moral about how we shouldn't do things if they're dangerous.
That really is a unique moral for this episode and very well written. What I also love are all the twists. The first main one is that they're talking about how this other guy came the closest to climbing the mountain but was weighed down by this one guy. It turns out that guy (duck?) was none other than Scrooge! Even though he doesn't climb the mountain, he still mostly wins because he still got further than any other person (or once again duck) ever has. They keep appearing in the same place over and over again and the easy answer is that they're bad navigators. Instead, there really are portals that teleport everyone away. Dang, I love this show! ****
