an ordinary and slipshod work
31 March 2007
As one of the most important shadow play of Turks,Hacivat and Karagoz was transferred to white screen. At the starting, when I heart,I was very excited. But designed scenario by the scenarist doesn't reflect real story I think.OK one character is pure and innocent as aqua ant the other is canny as a fox about swindling. But whoever put this scenario into the screen would reflect that. The wrong point that I see is pretending is used very densely.Players struggle to look like Karagoz and Hacivat, but I think they aren't successful.

Beyazit Ozturk doesn't fit the role. We are used to Haluk Bilginer to act in roles of clever men. So,the role of in this film is a paradox with his historical progress.

Lastly, watch it but not praise to me...
