When I first went into FMA I really wasn't expect much and with the first 4 batch of episodes I wasn't really blown away, it just kinda looked like another generic shounen series. I was however increasingly impressed as it went along and came to like a majority of the characters and loved the plotting of the series. The series goes a lot darker and more dramatic than I initially expected but it worked well. The series proves once again why BONES is the finest animation studio in the world today. The series takes a little while to get moving and seems kinda generic at first but after it gets moving it is quite good. It has a couple problems with character development but excellent with plotting, decent animation, and decent soundtrack. Overall a great series but I've seen better.
