[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Magnum P.I. Season 5 Episode 11 “Hit and Run.”] Heading into the second half of Magnum P.I.‘s final season, fans have a couple important questions: Is the show really going to end? And could there be a baby in Higgins (Perdita Weeks) and Magnum’s (Jay Hernandez) future? The midseason premiere answers the second. As the promos have shown, Higgins is late to join Magnum for a client meeting — and, also, late, as she stresses after trying to be vague. “It’s probably a false alarm, but over-the-counter pregnancy tests just aren’t reliable, so I’m going to pop by my physician’s to get a blood test,” she explains. Magnum stumbles over his answer — “That’s great, great that you’re getting tested, not great that you’re not pregnant not that being pregnant wouldn’t be great.” — and fortunately for him, the case interrupts. The past year has seen the series finales of many of our favorite dramas. Here, our writers pay tribute to a few. (There will be spoilers.)
“Succession”
As surreal as it may seem to its audience, “Succession” has really up and gone. With a mere four seasons and 39 episodes, the Jesse Armstrong-led series was a drop in the bucket when stacked against the length of similarly acclaimed dramas in HBO history, including “The Sopranos” with 86 episodes, “Game of Thrones” with 73 and “The Wire” with 60, respectively. And yet, with its fourth season arguably the show’s pinnacle, delivering a finale that was both narratively satisfying and emotionally devastating, it’s hard to argue with Armstrong’s decision to end the series on his terms, while the show was still at the height of its powers. But that doesn’t take much sting out of the loss.

Warning: contains major spoilers for Guilt Series 1 & 2.
Arguably the best British thriller of recent years, and unarguably the British thriller with the best soundtrack of recent years, Guilt is back. The Scottish comedy-drama from Neil Forsyth about brothers Max and Jake McCall returns for series three on Tuesday the 25th of April on BBC Scotland and iPlayer, with episodes airing weekly on BBC Two at 9 p.m. from Thursday the 27th of April. This final four-episode run caps off an excellent trilogy about good people doing bad things and bad people doing… more bad things.
Series three finds the brothers in Chicago, one year on from Max’s transatlantic escape from the Lynches. Things are rocky for Jake and Angie, and disbarred lawyer/former money launderer Max is still plotting to regain his former wealth.
As the McCalls are forced back to Edinburgh to confront some old enemies, here’s...

It's hard to imagine how successful "Better Call Saul," the little "Breaking Bad" spin-off that could, would have been without Rhea Seehorn. Sure, star Bob Odenkirk consistently gave some of the best performances on television during the show's run, but Seehorn was arguably the soul of the series. Her character of Kim Wexler was its fluctuating moral compass, not purely defined by her relationship with Odenkirk's Jimmy/Saul. We have written a lot about how wonderful Seehorn and her portrayal of Kim were over the show's six seasons, so this should not be a surprise to anyone.
What was a surprise, however, was when it was announced ahead of the show's final season that the actress would direct one of its episodes. While she has directorial credits on other projects, it would be her first and only time directing her "Better Call Saul" castmates. The episode in question was the fourth episode,...

HBO Max released the official trailer for the upcoming reality dating series “Fboy Island,” which will premiere on July 29.
Hosted by Nikki Glaser, the series follows three women, Nakia Renee, Cj Franco and Sarah Emig, who move to a tropical island where they’re joined by 24 men. Half of the men are “nice guys” also looking for a real relationship, while the others are self-proclaimed “f-boys” competing for a cash prize. By the finale, all will be revealed — who is a nice guy, who is an “f-boy” and who will the women ultimately choose. The series is a social experiment that asks the age-old question: can “f-boys” truly reform or do nice guys always finish last?
Glaser will executive produce alongside creator Elan Gale, Jason Goldberg, Ben Bitonti and showrunner Sam Dean.

Israeli actor and screenwriter Lior Raz may not be a household name in America, but obviously, Netflix doesn’t care, they’ve got a global market to be concerned with, and clearly, the algorithm favors him. People are watching the things Raz has helped create, like the Israeli political thriller television series “Fauda,” which is a hit and he co-created. Raz also appeared in Michael Bay‘s “6 Underground”, and now they’re re-investing back into the star and creator.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are teaming up on-screen again, this time for a new one-hour game show entitled “Family Game Fight” for NBC.
The broadcast network has ordered 10 episodes of the new series that will feature Bell and Shepard as both hosts and competitors. Each episode will see Bell and Shepard be “adopted” into individual families of four to compete in a series of games with a big cash prize up for grabs. NBC has not yet announced the specific amount of that cash prize.
“For one of our first dates, I invited Dax over for a game night at my house with a bunch of friends,” Bell said. “He said he fell in love with me there because I was a very tiny person bossing everyone around. I fell in love with him too because he’s a very large person who could boss everyone around, but chooses not to.

Mila Kunis is set to star in Netflix’s film adaptation of “Luckiest Girl Alive,” which is based on author Jessica Knoll’s 2015 bestselling novel.
Mike Barker will direct the film, and Knoll herself is adapting the screenplay based on her book.
In “Luckiest Girl Alive,” Kunis will play Ani FaNelli, a sharp-tongued New Yorker who appears to have it all: a sought-after position at a glossy magazine, a killer wardrobe and a dream Nantucket wedding on the horizon. There’s a load of great content coming to Netflix in November, but just as is always the case, there are also a bunch of titles being removed from the streaming service at the same time. Next month, the platform is losing 53 movies and TV shows. There are some classics amongst them, too, unfortunately, so you might want to fit in a last minute rewatch before they vanish from Netflix’s library.
On the first day of November, four titles are being removed, including horror remake Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, children’s animated sequel Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil and Gerard Butler action movie Olympus Has Fallen. 2017 horror Death House is also leaving on the 4th, while drama Into the Forest departs Netflix on the 6th and Jamie Foxx vehicle Sleepless is among those disappearing the following day.
Here’s the full list of everything leaving in November:...

Billed as a “blisteringly fast arcade-style racing game that fuses classic drift handling with a bombastic soundtrack and pristine 90s polygonal visuals”, Hotshot Racing is a combination of a myriad of games that have come before it: Outrun, Daytona USA, Ridge Racer, even Virtua Racing… Only it never quite hits the mark of being in that pantheon of great arcade racers.
Don’t get me wrong, this Is an arcade racer, it just feels like developers Lucky Mountain Games and Sumo Digital have spent so much time trying to emulate that 90s racer experience they’ve forgotten what makes a game fun. Because Hotshot Racing is not fun. Not in the slightest. The aim of the game is, obviously, to win. Sure, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper make a great duo, but what about Bradley Cooper and Dax Shepard? During the Golden Globes on Sunday, the former costars had a fun reunion on the red carpet. The two costarred in the film Hit and Run alongside Dax's wife Kristen Bell in 2012 and have remained good friends ever since. In addition to mingling with Bradley and his girlfriend Irina Shayk, Dax also shared a hilarious moment with Bradley when he leaned in for a kiss. Patricia Clarkson's reaction pretty much says it all.
Dax did say that Bradley was his new celebrity crush when he appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently. In fact, he said that he is more than happy to replace Bradley in A Star Is Born. Perhaps Dax was trying to offer ideas for a potential sequel? See their hilarious encounter ahead!

When I was a child my PlayStation 2 was my most prized possession. Having to ask my parents for new games meant that I wasn’t able to get every single game I wanted so choosing the right game was essential. I’ve played many games over the years but very few compare to those I played as a kid. Here is a list of my favourite childhood games that will forever be in my heart.
Cel Damage Overdriive
Platform: PlayStation 2
Year: 2002
For years I had a very vivid image in my head of driving through the wild-west in a car that had giant boxing gloves attached, punching at anyone who dared come near me. My friends and I would spend hours playing Cel Damage Overdrive but as the years passed, I soon forgot about the game and all the fun that came with it. But then one day a memory suddenly hit me.

Could Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard be any cuter? On Saturday, the married couple enjoyed a fun night out at the Moonlight Rollerway roller-skating rink in Glendale, north of Los Angeles. The two were joined by a few friends, including Bell's former Veronica Mars co-star, Ryan Hansen. He played Dick Casablancas on the cult show, and also starred with Bell and Shepard in the star's comedy films Hit and Run and Chips. "Tonight, @daxshepard rented a roller skating rink," the actress wrote on Instagram stories. "And I had one of the best nights of my life." "Incredible night at @officialmoonlightrollerway- not a single broken bone!" Bell...

Is your heart still pounding? Culminating in the escape of Agent Dale Cooper's doppelganger, tonight's Twin Peaks was tense and terrifying enough to leave you freaked out long after "Sleep Walk" on the Double R's jukebox brought the credits to a close. But before we talk about all that, let's take a look at the dogs that didn't bark. Throughout the episode, co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost utilize the show's usual ingredients for creating supernatural suspense. The results they produce this time out, however, are completely different.

MaryAnn’s quick take… Toilet humor, cars exploding for no reason, random naked boobies, and gay panic… although, weirdly, also lots of awkward, unerotic nearly naked Dax Shepard. I’m “biast” (pro): enjoyed the TV show, but I was like eight then
I’m “biast” (con): enough with the reboots

In 2011, the comedian and actor Dax Shepard made his feature debut with the mockumentary Brother’s Justice. In it, he plays a version of himself as — in the words of Gary Goldstein in the Los Angeles Times — “an impulsive, clueless narcissist on a journey to reinvent himself as an action star.” The plot involves Shepard running around Hollywood trying to raise money to make a cash-grab action movie starring himself. His 2012 second feature as writer and director (and star), action comedy Hit and Run, might have looked like a fulfillment of that dream,...

Borrowing character names and a few elements from the Larry Wilcox- and Erik Estrada-led television drama CHiPs, Dax Shepard’s remake feels more like a big-budget reboot of his delightful shit-kicking action comedy Hit and Run. His sophomore feature as a director delivers, fittingly, a few sophomoric laughs operating at the same frantic energy level as his previous film. Although its structure is similar to that of a loose Judd Apatow sensibility (which can be quite painful, as was the “extended cut” of the 40-Year-Old Virgin), CHiPs is a buddy comedy that’s more interested in homosocial bonding than the actual mission. The problem is the bonding, as sweet as it is, grows a little tiring and the film is structured so that we’re far ahead of our heroes, and where’s the fun in that?
