- TriviaThe bulletin board headed "crime solve score board", briefly in shot around 25 min, shows CSI names of Warrick, Nick, Sara, Catherine, and Joe, with a list of their open and solved cases. Possibly as an in-joke about Grissom's lackadaisical feelings about office admin tasks, the board hasn't been updated in the five years since season 1, and also who "Joe" refers to is never made clear.
- GoofsIn the opening scene, the camera appears to be looking out a barrel (like many James Bond opening credits). The lands and grooves of the rifling are clearly visible, but a few scenes later the bullet is described as being unmarked by rifling, and the weapon is identified as an MP5 having polygonal rifling (no conventional lands or grooves).
- Quotes
Jeremiah: [to Nick and Warrick] Y'all think you're all cops? Y'all ain't cops.
Nick Stokes: [takes his gun out and points it at Jeremiah] That's right. We're not cops. We're mad scientists.

Out of Their Element
This was too obtuse to follow. Keeping track of who offended who and how the retaliation occurred was really hard. The story brings us into the rap world as three kids are killed in a drive by while they were putting up posters. So we are introduced to the victimization when young people follow these stars who are dangerous.
