Little Girl Abandoned
James Garner and Noah Beery, Jr., are about to go on a fishing trip when Garner finds little Kim Richards on the beach near his trailer. Her dad Burt Young abandoned her when a couple of nasty dudes with weapons were tailing them. Even Rocky kind of melts when Richards says mom has died and daddy has left her with those people chasing him.
It's quite a story involving a dope peddling racket and Drug Enforcement Agency with hard nosed Ken Swofford as the lead investigator chasing Young. But don't believe everything you hear from the guest stars here and that even includes Richards at some points.
Nice enough episode and I think Noah Beery, Jr. gets center stage in this one along with the guest stars. In the end it turns into quite a haul for Joe Santos. Even Stuart Margolin gets briefly into the act when Garner needs his conman skills to nail the bad guys.
