- When the Inquisitor has three people hung upside-down, you can see the breast of one woman.
- A woman is nude in the bathtub for a few minutes, but no nudity is shown. Moments later, Her husband kisses her while she's in the bath. He's fully clothed. She then pulls him down with her in the tub and they sensually kiss; her breast and nipple are briefly visible.
Violence & Gore

- Some tribal men throw spears to two men, and the spears pierces through some body parts like leg and chest.
- Spaniards and Ancient Mayans fight. Spears pierce the Spaniards and Mayans are bludgeoned and slashed.
- The inquisitor hangs people upside down (we see them bloodied and injured). The prisoners are then dropped.

- The language in this movie is quite mild, aside from only two or three strong profanities.

- A man let another man to slit his throat with a dagger. We see the movement, but the cut throat and blood is not really seen clearly, just in shadows.
- Thomas is stabbed by a Mayan priest, blood oozes. Thomas slashes a willing Mayan's neck. The inquisitor self-flagellates and it shows bloody wounds.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Vivisection of a baboon's head. There is also a scene in the hopsital that is very intense. Plants grow out of a man's body while he is alive. He furiously rips them out but they grow faster and come out of his mouth until you no longer see him.
