A character out for revenge, Rob looked like he had a shot at being able to take down hockey-masked killer Jason Voorhees for good… but when Rob finally caught up with Jason, things did not go well for him at all. Among Friday the 13th fans, Rob has become a favorite due to the fact that he seems so cool and capable at first, but then whiffs his shot at vengeance in a major way. Sadly, the actor who brought Rob to the screen is no longer with us. Erich Anderson’s wife Saxon Trainor has confirmed through social media that he...

The writing team involved DC writer Tom King along with Lost creator Damon Lindelof and Ozark showrunner Chris Mundy. While Gunn gave a hearty welcome to both Lindelof and Mundy, his comments against the Lost creator resurfaced on social media. CBS has canceled CSI: Vegas after three seasons and So Help Me Todd after two. The news is not surprising as Deadline revealed earlier this week that both dramas were heavily on the bubble and in grave danger.
That despite CSI: Vegas and So Help Me Todd being solid ratings performers. With the entire CBS schedule doing well this season and three new drama series joining in 2024-25, NCIS: Origins, Matlock and Watson (in addition to a second season of the Australian NCIS: Sydney), the network was faced with painful decisions, and So Help Me Todd and CSI: Vegas are the least watched CBS drama series this spring in both linear and multi-platform ratings.
In most current linear Nielsen viewership (2/12 to date), CSI: Vegas, which improved its time period, is at #21 among all non-sports broadcast programs with 6.234M viewers and So Help Me Todd at #22 with 6.224M. That is more...

After Danny Cron graduated from the California Institute of Arts in 2018, he did exactly what his instructors at the Valencia school recommended: he booked showcases in hopes of finding his first big acting gig.
But when the representation didn’t materialize and the roles remained unattainable, he was at a loss over what to do next. “I’m from Santa Fe, New Mexico. My mom was a teacher, my dad was a lawyer. I could not be further removed from this industry,” said the 29-year-old Cron. “You think, why am I not there yet? What’s going on? It’s almost like a scarcity mindset, or at least for me, a sense of panic. Because it’s really scary and intimidating to be out here. It can be very alluring when you find programs that claim they’re going to take care of all of it for you.”

It was originally reported to be a new standalone story about one of the novels’ main characters, Lisbeth Salander, but current plot details remain under wraps. Amazon MGM Studios will produce along with Left Bank Pictures, which is based at Sony Pictures Television.

Meredith Stiehm has been reelected as president of WGA West, in a strong show of support as the union’s strike continues into its fifth month.
Stiehm took 3,354 votes, easily defeating Rich Talarico, who took just 300 votes.
Two other officers were also reelected: Michele Mulroney, as vice president, and Betsy Thomas, as secretary-treasurer. Five board members were reelected, and three new members were also elected to the board.
Stiehm was the showrunner of “Cold Case” on CBS and “The Bridge” on FX. She was also a key figure in the union’s fight against agency packaging in 2019-21. She alleged that CAA, her former agency, collected almost as much for packaging “Cold Case” as she did for writing the show.
Since the strike began on May 2, Stiehm has described herself as a “wartime president,” and has said that the union is on the path to success.

It’s almost impossible to escape once you get involved with the mob, and if I were Emile Hirsch‘s Bobby Belluci, I’d start learning how to swim with the fishes. Vertical Entertainment proudly presents an Inside Man trailer depicting a bloody tale of deception, dangerous liaisons, and a disturbing body count. Based on actual events, Inside Man tells the story of Bobby Belluci, a disgraced police detective seeking redemption by going undercover to expose a violent crime syndicate. However, as Bobby sinks deeper into the mob, the price for absolution may be higher than he can afford.
Danny A. Abeckaser directs from a screenplay by Kosta Kondiloppulos. Taking place during the 1960s and 1970s, Inside Man stars Lucy Hale, Jake Cannavale, Ashley Greene, Vincent Laresca, Kyle Stefanski, Greg Finley, and Bo Dietl alongside Hirsch.

Along with rival NBC, CBS found success in radio before adding on the new medium of television in the 1940s. With the creation of ABC a few years later, the “Big Three” networks dominated the small screen for half a century before receiving competition from Fox network, cable stations and, later, streaming services. In the earliest days of TV, CBS and NBC vied for top spots in the ratings; by the mid-1950s, CBS commanded the lead with pioneering and groundbreaking programs across multiple genres — a trend that would continue for decades.
Like NBC, CBS transitioned radio programs over to television. One successful radio series they wanted to convert was “My Favorite Husband,” but the star refused to commit unless her real-life husband was allowed to be her lead. However, her husband was from Cuba, and CBS executives didn’t think Americans would believe an American woman would marry a hispanic.

‘ER’ Writers Reunion on WGA Picket Line Puts Sharp Focus on What TV Has Lost Amid the Streaming Boom
In its heyday, “ER” would keep about 75 background actors on hand per episode to be called up as needed to fill out scenes in hospital corridors and whatnot. On Tuesday, about 75 “ER” alumni filled the sidewalks outside the show’s old studio on Olive Avenue in Burbank. Writers, actors and crew members who worked on the beloved NBC drama series rallied behind the Writers Guild of America on Day 29 of the strike called against Hollywood’s major employers.
Many of those who gathered for the “ER” reunion-themed picket on the day after the Memorial Day holiday weekend were emotional about what “ER” represented in their professional careers. It’s an apt symbol for the WGA strike because “ER” is the kind of long-running scripted series that television networks don’t seem to make anymore.

Here's hoping this was merely a pause before the sprint to the finish.
Otherwise, what exactly was the purpose of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 Episode 17? It failed to advance any ongoing storyline.
With only a handful of episodes left until the series' conclusion, you would have expected more developments to happen.
There were a couple of glances at ongoing storylines, neither memorable.
First, Callen (and supposedly Anna) felt compelled to set up Sam with a plus-one for their wedding.
It's difficult to say why they thought this was a good idea. Sam wouldn't have put up with this under any other circumstances. So it's a mystery why Callen decided to attempt this now.
If nothing else, this should serve as the official death knell to Sam's relationship with Catherine, unless that's happened in passing already.
Sam found the correct way to short-circuit this effort, requiring an expensive meal to meet the plus-one candidates.

Annie Wersching, an actress known for her roles in TV dramas Bosch and 24, as well as her portrayal of Leslie Dean, the mother of alien superhero Karolina on Marvel’s Runaways, has died. She was 45.
Wersching died from cancer on Sunday morning in Los Angeles, a rep for the actress told The Hollywood Reporter. In a statement, her husband Stephen Full remembered his wife and the mother of their three children.
“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it,” he said. “She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.”

ABC‘s newest drama series Will Trent revolves around a controversial Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent who isn’t too popular among other law enforcement officers. But the detective that Will Trent clashes with the most is Michael Ormewood, played by Jake McLaughlin.
Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood | ABC/Kim Simms Jake McLaughlin plays Detective Michael Ormewood in ‘Will Trent’ on ABC
The Will Trent series premiere makes it clear that the audience isn’t supposed to like Jake McLaughlin’s Ormewood when they first meet him. He is brash, stubborn, ignorant, and abrasive. Ormewood takes advantage of his power as a detective with the Atlanta Police Department and regularly threatens and intimidates suspects and witnesses.
During the pilot, Ormewood doesn’t hold his hatred for Will back. As fans came to find out, Will previously worked on a case that outed numerous crooked cops, and many other officers dislike him for “betraying their own.
