Frisbee, even in its ultimate competitive form, doesn’t require the most astute knowledge of play but what would happen if you came across someone who hadn’t the faintest clue how it worked? In Tell Me Where I’m Going Wrong by writer/director Kyle Jon Shephard, the comedic notion of someone not being able to grasp how to play the game is stretched to the most absurd lengths resulting in a hilarious short where a socially awkward guy fails miserably at a simple after work session bewildering everyone with his ineptitude. Shephard keeps us teetering on a tightrope of brilliantly executed deadpan comedy right through to the very end where our hapless frisbee player suddenly comprehends what is required of him and his motor skills but at the very worst of times. Tell Me Where I’m Going Wrong is a short, sharp blast of laughs and we...

Eric Weinberg, a former producer on Scrubs and Californication, will stand trial for 28 charges of rape and sexual assault, according to multiple outlets. Following several days of preliminary hearings at Los Angeles’ Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, Judge Charlaine Olmedo set an arraignment set for June 4 and confirmed Weinberg would be put on trial for the charges, which also include sexual battery and using sexual force.
Variety reports that the preliminary hearing ran for more than two weeks in late April and early May, during which nine women gave testimony.

Eric Weinberg, a former writer-producer on the medical sitcom “Scrubs,” was ordered on Tuesday to stand trial by a Los Angeles judge. He is facing 28 charges of rape and sexual assault from eight different accusers and could receive multiple life sentences if convicted, according to media reports.
Judge Charlaine Olmedo heard testimony from nine women at a preliminary two-week hearing that ended in early May. The women, who have only been identified as Jane Does, said they agreed to meet Weinberg as his house for modeling sessions that quickly became physical.
Four of the Jane Does testified that Weinberg choked them and one said, “I was afraid he was going to kill me.” Another said, “I just remember thinking I was going to die,” when Weinberg placed both hands on her throat.
Olmedo dismissed four other counts on Tuesday: three because of the statute of limitations and one due to lack of evidence.

There's nothing like a good sitcom after a long day of hard work. No matter how tired or upset you are, there are some shows that can make all your worries go away in just a few episodes, and for that they're considered truly iconic. It just so happens that a good portion of them come from NBC.
So, if you thought NBC was only a home for dark and gritty procedural franchises, check out the list of shows below to remind yourself how many other shows the network has released, Law & Order and One Chicago aside.
Cheers (1982-1993)
The classic bar-centric sitcom that followed a bartender and his friends and co-workers could have been canceled in 1982. The show failed to impress viewers from the start, but later redeemed itself to become one of the most popular and highly rated television shows of all time. Thanks to NBC, it survived to air 11 more seasons.

The one fatal mistake that most TV shows make is using TV cameos gratuitously. If the cameo doesn't mean something to the audience and the characters in the show, it's pointless, and little more than a random Stan Lee Appears gag.
On the other hand, too many shows have fallen into the trap of celebrity worship with their cameos.
Having cast members gawk and gape at their celebrity crush as if to reinforce the celebrity's prestige while doing nothing for the universe we enjoy is a waste of talent.
For this list of the top TV cameos worth celebrating, we will focus on iconic cameo appearances that gave the show some unforgettable moments that made TV history.
Seinfeld Cast, Curb Your Enthusiasm
What better way to give Seinfeld the better ending many feel it deserved than by bringing back the cast and the original set and doing a bit of self-parody?...

For a show filled with constant troublemakers, it makes sense that "The Simpsons" would feature multiple recurring lawyer characters. The most memorable is Lionel Hutz, the incompetent bozo who usually represents a member of the Simpson family; when he's taking on the case, that's a sure sign that whoever he's defending is going to jail. He's a familiar archetype, one we see echoes of with the incompetent alien chicken lawyer on "Futurama" or the perpetually anxious Ted on "Scrubs." Any lawyer who strays from the expected image of a smart, calculating, dignified man is always a welcome addition to a sitcom, but "The Simpsons" is unique in that it offers a counterpart.
Mr. Burns' lawyer, the blue-eyed New Yorker with the nasal voice, is the polar opposite of Lionel Hutz. He's an extremely efficient soulless drone, someone who tends to win his cases even if his methods aren't particularly ethical.

Back in the day, Michael J. Fox was undoubtedly one of the biggest young Hollywood stars in the 80s and no one matched his level of popularity and stardom among his contemporaries at the time. In addition to his Emmy-winning performance as Alex P. Keaton in Family Ties, he became synonymous with Marty McFly from the iconic Back to the Future trilogy.

However, his glorious career in Hollywood was severely affected when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991. While he was in pain as the symptoms became more severe, the actor refused to let it demoralize him and he continued to work whenever he could. Curb Your Enthusiasm creator Larry David made a controversial but perfect use of Parkinson’s and Fox in his show in 2011.

Scrubs is one of the best TV shows of the early ’00s!
The funny sitcom, created by Bill Lawrence, aired from October 2001 to March 2010 on NBC and later ABC, centers around the employees at Sacred Heart Hospital, a teaching hospital.
The show was brought back for a ninth season, called Med School, with the setting moved to a medical school, with several of the original show’s regular cast members returning for main or recurring roles.
The series won two Emmys, along with Golden Globe nominations, a Peabody Award and Humanitas Prizes. Along the way, its stars amassed a sizable amount of wealth.

The brash hospital show ER burst onto television screens in 1994 as part of NBC's famed Thursday night lineup and changed the landscape of medical dramas forever -- or at least that's how it seems a few decades on, since the genre arguably hasn't changed much.
What was it about ER that made it such a hit back then, and how did it alter the structure of medical dramas to such an extent that we can see the ripple effect even now?
ER had a gritty, realistic feel that was vastly different than other medical shows of that era and was a perfect storm of dynamic camera work, overlapping storylines, and innovative casting.
The show was shot on 35mm film and seemed more like "real life" than a perfectly lit videotaped sitcom. ER also pioneered the use of Steadicams and long tracking shots outside of movie sets.

Tulsa King season 2 has now started shooting, and Deadline reports that Craig Zisk (Weeds) has signed on to direct and executive produce the Paramount+ series.
It was reported last year that showrunner Terence Winter would be stepping down from the series following some creative differences with creator Taylor Sheridan. However, he decided to come back as a writer for the second season, which would keep his interactions with Sheridan at a minimum.
While Winter is still involved as an executive producer, he will primarily focus on writing for the show as well as working closely with Sylvester Stallone. “He loves these characters and loved working with Sly and was glad his post-strike schedule allowed him to return to write but not run the show,” a source said. Instead of bringing in another showrunner, the production decided to follow in the footsteps of the other shows produced by Sheridan’s 101 Studios...

Prentice Penny had just wrapped the fifth and final season of Issa Rae’s Insecure and was awaiting its release on HBO when Wired senior writer Jason Parham published his definitive “A People’s History of Black Twitter” in July 2021. The three-part, 9,821-word series chronicles the evolution of the nebulous and influential collective of Black users on the platform now known as X, from an inciting event (the hashtag #UKnowUrBlackWhen) to its growing influence and respective backlash through the present.
For Penny, a multihyphenate talent whose work on such series as Insecure and Girlfriends had been elevated and celebrated by Black Twitter, adapting Parham’s articles into a colorful visual history through the documentary medium seemed like an exciting new challenge after spending much of his two decades in TV predominantly in the narrative comedy space with shows including Scrubs, Happy Endings and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Jason Momoa thinks the Super Bowl just might do wonders for his comedy career.
The actor is best best known for his turns in action-heavy projects such as “Aquaman,” “Dune” and “Game of Thrones,” but gets to shake it all off in a new T-Mobile Super Bowl commercial. He will be spotted dancing to Irene Cara’s “Flashdance… What a Feeling” alongside Zach Braff and Donald Faison, the actors who have been part of the company’s Super Bowl efforts for the past few years. With Succession now in the rearview mirror, Kieran Culkin is looking ahead to his next project — and even fielding offers on the red carpet.
At the 2024 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday, where Culkin took home best actor in a drama series, the star was mid-interview with The Hollywood Reporter when Bill Lawrence — creator of Scrubs, Ted Lasso, and most recently, Shrinking — approached with words of praise.
“You’ve very good on your show,” Lawrence told Culkin, “I’d like you to come and be in a comedy sometime if that’s Ok.”
“I’m not very funny,” Culkin insisted, as Lawrence replied, “I’ve seen you be funny a thousand times. We’ll look each other up on IMDb and we’ll find out if we’re good people or not.”
As Lawrence walked away, Culkin exclaimed, “I think I just got a job. Fuck, I should’ve said that I was hilarious.

There is an unwritten rule with live-action TV shows that the cast members must get more attractive over time. Sometimes, this is an intentional choice meant to signal the character's growing confidence; Peggy from "Mad Men" and Elliot from "Scrubs" both certainly come to mind, with their haircuts and outfits becoming far more stylish as they advanced through their careers. Other times, the change is just the result of the actors having way more money to spend on their appearance as a result of the show's success. Suddenly, they have easy access to plastic surgery, hair transplants, expensive skincare routines, personal trainers, and nutritionists. For Rob McElhenney, this pattern was a little too played out. As he told Collider in a 2011 interview:
"I have never seen a sitcom in which the actors progressively got worse looking, which is, I think, truer to life, especially the lives that these characters lead.

Kate Micucci said Monday that she is cancer-free after having surgery a week ago following a lung cancer diagnosis.
The Big Bang Theory alum took to TikTok over the weekend to thank well-wishers “for of the good wishes and all the love” after revealing her diagnosis.
“I have great news which is that I am cancer-free,” she said Saturday. “The surgery last week went great, all the reports I got back are that it worked out and I don’t need to do any more treatment.”
She also thanked her nurses and doctors for the care and for “figuring [the diagnosis] out early, because I am very very lucky and I know that.”

Last Tuesday, Micucci, 43, shared on TikTok that she underwent lung cancer surgery December 11. She said the diagnosis was a surprise because she’s never smoked. “But I guess it happens, and so the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out — I’m all good,” she said at the time.
Mucci most recently was cast in a voice role for the upcoming animated Angry Birds Mystery Island TV series. Her other credits include NBC’s Four Kings, Scrubs, Till Death, Raising Hope, Steven Universe, How I Met Your Mother and Malcolm in the Middle, among others. Film credits include The Last Hurrah, Bart Got a Room and When in Rome.
Also an artist and a musician, she and Riki Lindhome comprise the musical comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates.
