Jennifer Garner is one of the most prolific actresses working today. The actress has been a part of films such as 13 Going on 30, Juno, Pearl Harbor, Daredevil, and Elektra. While Garner has been taking it slow on the acting front, she recently seemed to have an emotional day as her eldest daughter, Violet Affleck, reportedly graduated high school.
The Family Switch star posted a thread of photos of her getting emotional while on the way to her daughter’s graduation. She even had a video of her crying on the plane and multiple images of her being proud of her daughter. Many celebrities supported the actress, including Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Reynolds, and Michelle Pfeifer.

Is Jessica Jones about to make her MCU return? While nothing is confirmed, a new Instagram post from Krysten Ritter has left fans convinced we'll see her reprise the role sooner rather than later.
As you can see below, Ritter is rocking some very cool purple hair. In the comics, when Jessica first became a superhero - then known as Jewel - she did so in spandex and with, you guessed it, pink/purple hair.
While the character later grew that out after becoming a P.I., some artists have portrayed her as still having those purple locks. Like Daredevil's expanded power set and colourful costumes, though, this would be a great way to softly reboot the character for Earth-616 after the grounded and gritty Jessica Jones.
Last April, Ritter responded positively when asked if she was open to returning as Jessica. "I have no idea; I hope so!

Twenty years ago this month, the fairy tale-like romantic comedy “13 Going on 30” starring Jennifer Garner made its way into cinemas. The actress played Jenna Rink, a socially awkward soon-to-be 13-year-old who quickly realizes that she “hates being 13.” She makes a birthday wish to be “thirty, flirty and thriving.” With the little help of some wishing dust, she wakes up the next morning to discover that her wish has come true.
It was a defining moment in Garner’s early career. Her role as Sydney Bristow in the television action thriller series “Alias” had made her a breakout star (including at awards shows) just a few years earlier. She won the Golden Globe for Best Drama Actress in 2002 and had competed again in 2003 and earlier in 2004. She had also been nominated for two Emmy Awards one Screen Actors Guild trophy.

Quentin Tarantino has many eyes analyzing him as of late ever since his announcement of The Movie Critic being the final feature film before he retires. Being a filmmaker with such rapport and reputation, there is no surprise that the expectations for his upcoming film were more than blooming.
While the film was supposed to mark his swan song, it seems to be getting sidetracked again and again.

According to The Wrap, Pruitt Taylor-Vince has been cast as Jonathan Kent in James Gunn’s Superman. I can’t say that’s who I expected to play Clark Kent’s adoptive human father in the movie, but I’ve always been a big fan of the actor, who has appeared in everything from The X-Files to Deadwood to The Walking Dead.
Pruitt Taylor-Vince will join the long line of actors who have brought Jonathan Kent to life in movies and television, including Glenn Ford in the original Superman movie, John Schneider in Smallville, Kevin Costner in Man of Steel, and many more. As I mentioned above, Taylor-Vince might not feel like the obvious choice for the role, but he’s a true talent and I hope fans give him a chance.

Jennifer Garner is opening up about her “emotional” audition for Felicity, which led to her crying in the bathroom afterward.
The 13 Going on 30 star, who made a guest appearance as Hannah Bibb, the ex-girlfriend of Noel Crane (Scott Foley), in the J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves-created series, recently locked back at her audition for what “must have been the breakup scene.”
“I remember the audition. I remember going into the bathroom after because the scene was so emotional and I needed to cry,” she said on The Ringer’s Dear Felicity podcast. “I needed to hide in the bathroom stall and finish the cry that I started in the audition because it was such a powerful scene.”
Garner claimed Abrams made her come back later to re-audition for the role, to which podcast host and former Felicity star Greg Grunberg quipped, “That makes sense to me, because you’re not very good.

The most unexpected movie news of the day hit the internet today: Drew Goddard is attached to co-write and direct a fifth "The Matrix" film for Warner Bros. Discovery. It's unexpected largely because Lana Wachowski -- one of the key creative voices of this franchise, a director of the original trilogy, and the solo director of 2021's "The Matrix Resurrections" -- is stepping into an executive producer role this time around, since Goddard reportedly came to the studio with an idea for a new entry in this franchise that excited the folks in charge. On the surface, he may seem like a somewhat odd choice to usher "The Matrix" into the future, but several projects in Goddard's filmography lead us to believe he could be a great choice to take the reins.

Tulsa King season 2 has now started shooting, and Deadline reports that Craig Zisk (Weeds) has signed on to direct and executive produce the Paramount+ series.
It was reported last year that showrunner Terence Winter would be stepping down from the series following some creative differences with creator Taylor Sheridan. However, he decided to come back as a writer for the second season, which would keep his interactions with Sheridan at a minimum.
While Winter is still involved as an executive producer, he will primarily focus on writing for the show as well as working closely with Sylvester Stallone. “He loves these characters and loved working with Sly and was glad his post-strike schedule allowed him to return to write but not run the show,” a source said. Instead of bringing in another showrunner, the production decided to follow in the footsteps of the other shows produced by Sheridan’s 101 Studios...

When it comes to writing and directing, Quentin Tarantino is undoubtedly one of the very best in the entertainment business. But that’s not all that the filmmaker is capable of. Outside of films that he has been directly involved with, Tarantino has also appeared in several other projects as a guest star. Take, for example, J.J. Abrams’ spy series Alias where he starred alongside Jennifer Garner.
Quentin Tarantino in Pulp Fiction
Appearing in the 12th and 13th episodes of Alias’ first season, Quentin Tarantino played the role of a former agent of the SD6 agency, McKenas Cole. Seeking revenge in the series, Tarantino’s character gets a face-off with Jennifer Garner’s Sydney Bristow. The duo engaged in a famous fight sequence, which was later hailed by Tarantino as he had the highest praise for Garner.

Jennifer Garner was known for portraying the superhero Elektra in both Daredevil and her titular film. But before she nabbed the role, Stana Katic had her eyes set on the character as well.
Stana Katic once auditioned for ‘Elektra’ Stana Katic | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Katic is no stranger to superhero projects. She’s voiced some of comic books’ most iconic characters across a few forms of media. This included playing Talia Al Ghul in the video game Batman: Arkham City, and Wonder Woman in the animated film Justice Society: World War II. She even felt her character in Castle, Kate Beckett, was a superhero in her own right.
“I think she’s like a female superhero on television, and we’re slowly exploring more and more of that,” Katic once told Collider. “She’s got a tremendous amount of integrity. I’ve gotten to do more stunts lately, which is really cool.

Whether playing Peggy on Mad Men or June Osborne on The Handmaid's Tale, Moss has a knack for stepping into the shoes of erratic, unpredictable, highly competent, intelligent women who often put their male counterparts to shame.
Starring Moss, FX's The Veil is a spy thriller that explores the surprising and fraught relationship between two women who play a deadly game of truth and lies on the road from Istanbul to Paris and London.

Just a decade ago, who could have predicted the guy known primarily for “The Hangover” movies and TV shows like “Alias” would become a 12-time Oscar nominee? Bradley Cooper has had one of the strongest Academy Awards narratives since 2012, first being recognized for his starring role in “Silver Linings Playbook” and nominated again for his most recent trio of Oscars for producing, writing and acting in “Maestro” (2023). While all of those bids are wonderful, the fact remains that Cooper still has yet to win the little gold man. Scroll through our photo gallery below to see all of his Oscar nominations/losses to date. Gallery originally published January 2020.

Laurence Andries, a TV writer and producer who has worked on shows including Blue Bloods, How to Get Away with Murder and The Pacific, has been charged with six felony counts of sexual assault in Los Angeles.
The accuser, a John Doe, claims Andries drugged and assaulted him in June 2022 after they met for drinks. The writer-producer was arrested in August 2023 after charges were filed by the Los Angeles District Attorney. He remains free on a $150,000 bond and has not yet had a preliminary hearing, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Seeing strong and impactful female characters on TV inspires us, rallying us to do better like these females have done whenever the chips were down.
Some of these characters have inspired us for years, like Svu’s Olivia Benson or Btvs’s Buffy Summers, while other females have only recently hit our TV screens, like The Way Home’s Del Landry. However, these female characters have resonated with us over the years.
Some of the stories may have hit too close to home, like Netflix’s Georgia Miller running from an abusive past, and we cheered her on every step of the way.
We want to honor and recognize these women during National Women’s Month. They’ve taught us that we can achieve our dreams and not let anyone mess with us.
Check out the list below:
Olivia Benson (Law & Order: Svu.)
The Goat has to be Olivia Benson.

Exclusive: Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer is bulking up its Season 3 cast with 4 new actors joining the fold: Merrin Dungey, Allyn Moriyon, John Pirruccello and Philip Anthony-Rodriguez.
They join returning stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller, Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco and Yaya DaCosta as Andrea Freemann. The recurring cast also includes Neve Campbell, Elliott Gould, Krista Warner, Fiona Rene and Devon Graye.
Dungey will portray Judge Regina Turner, a former public defender who is younger and more progressive than most judges in the district, but whether that’s a benefit to Mickey or not remains to be seen. Moriyon plays Eddie Rojas, a fitness buff who needs a very good lawyer. Luckily, Mickey can help him and then offers him the opportunity of a lifetime. Richard Lewis, the beloved comedian, stand-up comedy all-star, and series regular on Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, has died after suffering a heart attack. He was 76. Lewis’ death was confirmed by his publicist, Jeff Abraham. “His wife, Joyce Lapinsky, thanks everyone for all the love, friendship and support and asks for privacy at this time,” Abraham said.
Richard Lewis’ comedic journey began with dual debuts in the New York and Los Angeles comedy arenas in the 1970s. Mentioned in the same breaths as comedy legends like Andy Kaufman, Richard Belzer, and Elayne Boosler, Lewis’ comedy style was darker and more self-deprecating than his fellow kings and queens of comedy. Not afraid to lampoon his shortcomings, Richard Lewis shared grim comedy about his addictions and bizarre thinking.
Lewis revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in April 2023 and planned to retire from his stand-up career.

The popularity and success of the Spider-Verse animated franchise have inspired Sony to introduce shared Spider-people-oriented world-building gimmicks in live-action movies as well, and Madame Web is the first step in that direction. As a part of Sony’s existing Spider-Man Universe (Ssu), which includes movies like Venom, Morbius, and the upcoming Kraven, Madame Web will introduce the titular spider-themed clairvoyant as well as a host of female spider-characters, as the movie aims to become the franchise’s first female superhero ensemble.
However, despite the fact that these characters are prominent members of the Spider-Society, appearing across comics, animated series, and games for a couple of decades, they are relatively obscure to the general audience due to not having a presence in live-action movies yet. This can make enjoying a superhero team-up movie a bit of a challenging affair, and to get rudimentary knowledge about the characters in question,...

Justin Hartley certainly has a proven track record when it comes to post-Super Bowl dramas.
In an often-uneven linear landscape, the This Is Us alum’s new CBS series Tracker scored a very solid 18.4 million viewers in its debut after the network’s Super Bowl coverage Sunday. That’s the best premiere of any series on any network since … well, the last time the still Shari Redstone-owned network had the Super Bowl in 2021 and Queen Latifah’s The Equalizer hit the small screen.
The hip hop legend’s still-running crime procedural had a viewership of 20.4 million on February 7, 2021.
As for the crime-solving Hartley show based on Jeffrey Deaver’s 2019 book The Never Game, there could be more eyeballs coming once viewers on Paramount+, CBS.com and the CBS app are factored in over the coming days. As it is, CBS is predicting the Tracker debut will top out at around 25 million viewers.

“Shit, I’ve been around, dude,” cracked Bradley Cooper on Thursday night after he watched a montage of his 25 years of screen work with a capacity crowd inside Santa Barbara’s historic 2000-seat Arlington Theatre en route to collecting the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Outstanding Performer of the Year Award.
The 49-year-old — who is currently Oscar-nominated for producing, co-writing and acting in Maestro, a film that he also directed for Netflix about the complicated marriage of Leonard Bernstein, played by Cooper, and Felicia Montealegre Bernstein, played by Carey Mulligan — was feted by Mulligan and, in a surprise appearance, by his friend Brad Pitt. New Yorkers minding their own business when aliens attack from the sky? That sounds like a Cloverfield! Well, the first Cloverfield from 2008, anyway.
The teaser for the film promised hip New York teens filming themselves during an alien invasion. Between the Escape from New York homage and the name “J.J. I have this really bad habit when I watch new shows. I am always late to the party. It happens all the time. I watch a pilot of a TV show, write it off and then years later I find out it’s an incredible piece of work. Community, Brooklyn 99, Superstore, and Babylon 5 are a few that come to mind. It’s frustrating because I miss out on so much fun, like talking to other fans about the show, conventions, and fun marketing. Sure, you can still do many of these things after the show but, like a fresh slice of pizza, it always tastes better fresh out of the oven. Fringe is another slice that I have had to microwave. The series followed a quirky scientist, an estranged criminal son, and a badass FBI agent on some dark and fascinating twists and turns. These would involve alternate dimensions,...

How an artist finds their muse is a mystery that goes back centuries. For “Maestro,” the Leonard Bernstein biopic that Bradley Cooper wrote, directed, and starred in, we know Cooper studied the late conductor’s every move and worked for years to get a handle on the baton himself. But during a recent conversation with Cooper’s fellow 2024 Oscar Best Actor nominees Jeffrey Wright, Colman Domingo, Paul Giamatti, and Cillian Murphy, Cooper cited a very specific life-changing moment inspired by a fellow performer.
It was Vince Vaughn, Cooper’s co-star in the ribald 2005 comedy “Wedding Crashers,” that changed the 12-time Oscar nominee forever, he said.
“Up until that point, I was always just trying to get it right on camera. Be present and get it right,” Cooper, who was best known as the nice guy on “Alias” at that time, said during the SAG-AFTRA actors’ panel. “I’m watching Vince Vaughn destroy a scene,...

Bradley Cooper has come a long way from his memorably antagonistic role as the preppy boyfriend, Sack Lodge, to Rachel McAdams‘ character in Wedding Crashers. In the film, Cooper’s character was rightfully suspicious of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn conning their way into a wealthy family when Wilson developed feelings for McAdams. This starts a subplot where Cooper tries to expose them. Although the role is the quintessential “bad guy” character in the 2005 Frat Pack film, Cooper would seem to come away with the biggest career from that film as he has become quite the prestigious filmmaker.
According to Variety, Cooper attributes Wedding Crashers as his break-out role when he was mostly known as an ally to Jennifer Garner in Alias, and the Sack Lodge character was a big opportunity to show his range with his image. Bradley Cooper joined his fellow best actor SAG Award nominees Jeffrey Wright (“American Fiction”), Cillian Murphy (“Oppenheimer”), Paul Giamatti (“The Holdovers”) and Colman Domingo (“Rustin”) for an hour-long chat as part of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations program, during which each actor was asked to name a career-changing moment they had with a fellow actor on set. Cooper, nominated for his self-directed performance in “Maestro,” had perhaps the most surprising pick of the bunch: Vince Vaughn in “Wedding Crashers.”
The 2005 R-rated comedy “Wedding Crashers” cast Cooper in the supporting role of Sack Lodge, the villainous boyfriend of Claire (Rachel McAdams).
