While fans have gone wild over the Pitbull cover in “Bridgerton” Season 3’s climactic carriage scene, showrunner Jess Brownell admitted she was “nervous” to see the audience response.
“I picked the Pitbull song and I was a little nervous, because it’s an unusual choice that it might take people out of the scene,” Brownell told TheWrap. “But it’s been so wonderful to see that people have taken to it, that actually it’s given that scene even more depth.”
Brownell added that she knew the carriage scene — which features a steamy, intimate moment between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) after Colin confesses his romantic feelings for his longtime friend — was strong, admitting she “had a good feeling that people were going to respond to it.”

Hunter McKnight finished in ninth place on Survivor 46, and now he has a video showing what happened after his torch was snuffed.
Hunter looked like someone who could win Survivor 46 early in the season. But it just wasn’t meant to be, as he also became a threat to many players.
Despite having an Immunity Idol in his pocket, Hunter got voted out at a pivotal Tribal Council on Day 17. He finished in ninth place and became the third jury member.
On finale night, Hunter voted for Charlie Davis to win. He was one of only three people who voted for Charlie, and Kenzie Petty became the Survivor 46 winner.
We didn’t see much of Ponderosa as the season progressed, as the production team stopped releasing footage.
A video has now been released that features Hunter revealing what happened next for him after Jeff Probst snuffed out his torch.

Survivor 46 winner Kenzie Pretty just debuted a shocking new hairstyle that shakes things up.
Survivor fans may have become familiar with Kenzie’s long red hair on the show, but that’s not her natural hair color.
After her time in Fiji, Kenzie began growing out her natural hair. It’s entirely possible that she decided to go that route instead of using hair dye.
Kenzie recently revealed that she is pregnant, so going back to her normal hair color might be a result.
The baby is with her husband, who patiently waited for her to finish playing Survivor to celebrate their union. The topic of her wedding came up during Survivor, and she mentioned that it had been pushed back.
Kenzie also noted that she hasn’t gone back to her natural color ” in about 16 years.”

Survivor fans have enjoyed the past few years when pop star Sia awarded her own money to contestants. However, Jeff Probst announced this week that Sia has chosen not to take part in giving out money anymore. While it has come to an end, one Season 46 contestant wants to personally keep this idea alive.
Here is who wants to replace Sia in awarding prize money and how they want to start this endeavor.

The Sia Prize has become a familiar post-season award to fun players from each Survivor cast.
Singer Sia had given out cash prizes to the players she most enjoyed watching each season.
Sia enjoyed rewarding several players each season, with recent winners including Kaleb Gebrewold, Jake O’Kane, Carolyn Wiger, Carson Garrett, and Elaine Stott.
Players had been getting up to $100,000 for being her favorite player in a season or $15,000 for being entertaining. And she did this for eight years.
Sia is one of the biggest Survivor fans out there, and the players getting her prize would usually get invited to meet and party with her.
But it is the end of an era, as it has been announced that Sia is done with the prizes and that nobody from the Survivor 46 cast will get one.

Jeff Probst is calling an end to “one of the most unique eras in the history of Survivor.” No more Survivor players will win the so-called Sia Prize, the cash award the pop star has doled out to her favorite participants on the CBS reality show since 2016. “After eight years, 14 seasons, 19 players and over $1,000,000 awarded, Survivor is officially bringing the Sia Prize to a triumphant end!” Probst wrote on Friday, updating his Instagram Stories with a post that Sia later shared in her own Stories. “Welcome to The View, ladies!” Michelle Buteau whoops as the comedy actress roundtable veers into more dramatic territory. It was a question about the most transformative performances or periods of their collective careers that has sent this Emmy-worthy sextet — Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson, Saturday Night Live’s Ego Nwodim, Loot’s Maya Rudolph, Palm Royale’s Kristen Wiig, Girls5eva’s Renée Elise Goldsberry and Survival of the Thickest’s Buteau — down a rabbit hole of self-doubt and self-discovery. Lord Pitbull has officially joined the ton. Pitbull reacted on Tuesday to his song’s feature in Bridgerton‘s carriage scene, which hit Netflix along with the first half of season three last week.
“This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries,” Mr. Worldwide wrote on Instagram beneath a clip of the scene.

There are many things that people find so fascinating about Bridgerton. Some enjoy the Regency fashion, others get caught up in the romantic tropes that each sibling's love story represents, and some are just there for the fun of the balls and the instrumental covers of modern songs.
The latter, for example, is exactly what made Bridgerton go viral again after season 3. And while the instrumental version of Pitbull’s hit Give Me Everything breaks all the charts thanks to Penelope and Colin’s romantic scene, there is one pop hit of the same era that has been banished from the season altogether.
Benedict and Lady Tilley’s Dance
While season 3, part 1 of Bridgerton wasn't particularly exciting for the second son of the family, Benedict, who did his best to avoid young debutantes, he did have some intriguing encounters with a strong-willed and open-minded widow, Lady Tilley Arnold.

As the longest running reality television series, “Survivor” has become a household name. Just think of the famous catchphrases. Who hasn’t said they wanted to vote an irritating person “off the island” or used “the tribe has spoken” at one punny point in their life? After three decades of filming, this year’s Season 46 is proving that changes to this season’s unique gameplay combining social, mental, and physical elements is the key to keeping the series exciting, highly discussable, and popular with viewers.
New aspects of the game introduced after the pandemic have earned the last five seasons the fan-dubbed moniker “New Era Survivor” for good reason. Instead of 39 days, “Survivor” is now played in a shorter and more intense 26 days. Forget those lavish days of “Survivor’s” past with building supplies, canned food and rice, and comfy hammocks. Contestants are no longer given any food to start,...

Warner Music Group reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $1.5 billion, up 7 percent from a year ago, and net income of $96 million, up from $37 million a year ago. While both numbers saw a jump, the company reported earnings per share of 18 cents per share, below Wall Street expectations of 20 cents.
The bottom-line results were driven by a strong operating performance — $12 million in savings from a March 2023 restructuring plan — and the impact of exchange rates on the company’s Euro-denominated debt, which led to a gain of $21 million in the quarter compared to a loss of $20 million in the prior-year quarter.
“Our performance in the quarter was driven by an acceleration in Recorded Music subscription streaming growth and continued momentum in music publishing,” said Bryan Castellani, CFO of Warner Music. “Encouraged by the continued growth in engagement and value of music, we remain focused on delivering on our strategy and driving long-term shareholder value.

The idea of artists needing a “career reboot” often has as much to do with the petulant impatience of content-saturated fans than the actual situation of the artist in question. But in the case of Sia, the urgency of a course correction is hard to deny. Sia broke out from the ranks of top-level songwriters-for-hire in 2014 with the self-emptying party-kamikaze ginormity of “Chandelier.” Her 2017 album This is Acting was a concept record of sorts that repurposed songs she’d originally written with singers like Adele and Rihanna in mind, of...

The summer season can be unforgiving, not just to humans but also to birds and animals.
Bollywood celebrities and pet parents, including John Abraham, Raveena Tandon, Priyamani, and Jacqueliene Fernandez, among many others, have shared their advice on how to help furry friends during soaring temperatures.
Raveena, a dog mom to Lucifer, her cute Pomeranian, urged people to place cool and clean water for birds, dogs, and cats during the summer season.
The actress told Ians: “Birds and community dogs and cats suffer during the summer. I ask everyone to please place mud pots filled with cool, clean water outside your home or in places where there are community or working animals. Inexpensive mud pots will help keep the water cool and won’t tip over.”
John, an ardent animal lover with two furry babies named Sia and Bailey, shared that rising temperatures can cause dehydration and heatstroke. He places water bowls to help.

When "Six Feet Under" came to Netflix in November 2023, I was eager to finally watch one of HBO's finest television shows. My father passed away in September, and while binging this series so soon after his death might seem like a masochistic endeavor, it was quite healing. One of the few things I knew about "Six Feet Under" was that many critics and audiences consider the final episode the greatest television ending of all time. As George R. R. Martin told Variety, "[T]hat last episode was far and away the best finale in the entire history of television, and I cannot imagine how anyone could possibly do better." Empire's review called it "almost unbearably moving and thrillingly executed."

More than 250 artists, including Billie Eilish, Green Day, Sia and Cyndi Lauper, signed a letter Thursday urging the Senate Commerce Committee to support a bill that would reform the ticketing system for live events.
The Fans First Act, which was initially introduced in December by Sens. John Cornyn, Amy Klobuchar, Marsha Blackburn, Peter Welch, Roger Wicker and Ben Ray Lujan, aims to address flaws in the current live event ticketing system. The bill hopes to increase transparency in ticket sales, protect consumers from fake or overpriced tickets, and hold those who engage in illegal ticket sale practices accountable.
“As artists and members of the music community, we rely on touring for our livelihood, and we value music fans above all else,” the letter said in part. “We are joining together to say that the current system is broken: predatory resellers and secondary platforms engage in deceptive ticketing practices to inflate...

Anyone who has tried to secure tickets to a concert in recent years knows that the system is broken. Luckily, many top acts know it is broken, too, and want something done about it.
Over 250 artists, including Billie Eilish, Dave Matthews, Lorde, Sia, Train, Graham Nash, Green Day, Cyndi Lauper, Fall Out Boy, Chappell Roan, Becky G, Béla Fleck, Jason Mraz, Yes, Mgmt, Blue Öyster Cult and many others have lent their names to bills currently put before congress, the Fans First Act and The Ticket Act, which basically pokes holes in the current ticketing system that frequently drives up prices and creates an unfair secondary market. Sebastián Lelio is setting the soundtrack of a feminist revolution with musical film “The Wave (La Ola)” — it just wrapped production.
The Academy Award-winning director helms the film that follows music student Julia (Daniela López) who gets involved in the growing feminist #MeToo movement on her university campus. Amid the excitement of protest marches, per the official synopsis, Julia joins her friends in dancing and singing, revisiting her own experiences of mistreatment. As she gathers the courage to share her own abuse story, she unexpectedly becomes a central figure in the movement — a role she didn’t foresee, which forces her to address her identity as a survivor in a society that promises change but remains resistant to it.
Avril Aurora, Lola Bravo, and Paulina Cortés also star. See below for first-look images.
