The most controversial film of 2024 has already been released and is attracting criticism from all sides. Written and directed by the visionary filmmaker Alex Garland (Ex Machina), Civil War has proven to be a massive hit for the A24. Civil War has everything you need including striking visuals, a gripping story, and complex characters. While there are people from both sides of the political aisle criticizing the film for not picking a side, I think that Garland did a wonderful job at showing us a broken America without blaming any political party for it.
Civil War is set in a dystopian future America suffering from a civil war as a team of military-embedded journalists race against time to get to Washington D.C. to interview the President before rebel factions take over the White House and kill the President. While the film is about a lot of hot topics that...

Stop me if you’ve know this one, twelve strangers wake up in deserted clearing with no idea of how they arrived there and aClear cachere then systematically hunted for sport by more affluent members of society. If you haven’t heard that story, morality play, joke, or whatever you would like to call it, before, that may be because it is none of those things. It is, in fact, the plot of the new horror film called The Hunt.
This is a film that starts off at full-throttle and never lets up. Director Craig Zobel, who directed the overlooked science-fiction parable Z for Zachariah (2015), drops the viewer right in the middle of the action along with the players and leaves them just as disoriented and confused (but in a good way). Writers Nick Cuse and Damon Lindelof (HBO’s Watchmen) craft a story that plays on numerous standards of the cat-and-mouse story,...
