Prime Video’s Fallout came as a surprise for many, with new viewers not expecting this bizarre tale of violence to captivate them so much, and Og fans not even hoping for a truly faithful TV adaptation of their favorite game franchise. But Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet did it and passed all the tests with flying colors — and they don’t intend to stop now.
They have big plans for Season 2.
Fallout Season 2 to Introduce Numerous Factions
The Fallout universe is vast and impossible to cover in just one season, so while Prime Video’s TV did tackle quite a few important issues, they still have hundreds more to deal with. The Wasteland factions were one of the least elaborated aspects of Season 1, but the showrunners intend to fix this “oversight” in the next installment.

While many fans of Eric Kripke’s writing are now enjoying The Boys, as the show is about to release its fourth season, there is another group of fans, still longing for the return of The CW hit Supernatural. Even more so, they wish to see Kripke take back the creative control over the revival, leading the Winchester brothers to more adventures.
The Boys fans, on the other hand, have an opposite reaction to the idea of the show lasting for many more seasons, instead of ending at 5, like Kripke used to promise before. However, there isn’t much to fear right now. The creator doesn’t truly believe any similar show could repeat Supernatural’s success today.
Is Supernatural Season 16 in the Works?
While fans believe they have seen many different hints and clues pointing to the revival of the series, there is no official confirmation of this happening.

When Todd Howard, the mastermind behind Bethesda’s greatest hits, set out to create Starfield, he had a vision – steer clear of the usual sci-fi clichés.
In an interview, he explained how he wanted Starfield to stand apart from the polished, futuristic aesthetic typical of many sci-fi franchises, particularly Star Trek. Howard aimed to build a universe that felt lived-in and practical, very different from the sleek, pristine environments often seen in space operas.
The Difference Between Fallout and Starfield’s Aesthetic
Starfield’s Shattered Space expansion launches later this year.
Fallout is a goldmine of sci-fi tropes. Mutants roam the wasteland, survivors are camped up in underground vaults, and resources are very scarce. These elements create a gritty, harsh world that’s both captivating and familiar to fans of the genre. For Fallout 3 and 4, Howard and his team crafted a universe rich with history and detail, where every corner...

When it comes to the realm of open-world games, few studios compete against a mammoth like Bethesda. The makers of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the Fallout games went through several concepts and brainstorming sessions before coming up with industry-shaking ideas.
However, Bethesda’s executive producer, Todd Howard, has never been silent about these processes. With an all-too-familiar charm and transparency, he has spoken about how a game as large as Skyrim can often distract players from the main quest, just like a creative process that may distract developers from building a finished product.
Like Skyrim, Bethesda’s Games Distract Everyone Including the Devs Skyrim can be charmingly distracting, and the devs were well aware of this.
Back in 2016, Time interviewed Howard to gain some insight into the studio’s creative process, and its journey with Skyrim’s development. Throughout the interview, Howard spoke about how the team was often open-minded about receiving feedback,...

10. Novac
While not a large settlement by any measure, Novac has one of the most memorable town features in Fallout: New Vegas — the giant dinosaur statue that’s used as a vantage point by the defenders. Just seeing the Dino’s head off in the distance would satisfy Og fans to no end, and it wouldn’t even be hard to pull off. Pretty please?
9. Camp Searchlight
Hosting one of the most haunting exploration quests in the game, Camp Searchlight has the perfect atmosphere for a tense scene. We can already picture Lucy being terrified and Cooper pranking her in his evil ways, using the place’s dark vibes. Let’s just hope that in the show, the Camp’s darkest secrets remain hidden from viewers.

Microsoft surprises all fans with an amazing summer showcase that blows people’s minds. Microsoft made stunning announcements such as a new Gears of War, Doom: The Dark Ages, and numerous other astounding titles.

Throughout all episodes of Fallout Season 1, we’re learning more about Cooper Howard and his life before the Great War through his flashbacks. Once a popular actor with a loving family, he lost everything after the bombs dropped — but even two centuries later, he still remained perfectly conscious, unlike all other ghouls.
What was the Ghoul’s secret? Why didn’t he lose his personality and forget his name like his less fortunate friends? How hasn’t he gone feral after well over 200 years?
Cooper Perfectly Adapted His Cowboy Persona
The apocalypse dramatically changed Cooper Howard’s career. From a famous (and infamous) actor, he turned into the most notorious and deranged bounty hunter in the Wasteland. Two centuries later, very few people remembered or knew his real name: for most, he was simply the Ghoul, the terrifying person that’s very good at killing.

Starfield’s upcoming expansion, Shattered Space, featured its announcement trailer in the Xbox Showcase broadcast on May 9, 2024. Despite the game’s mediocre reception among fans and critics, Bethesda will not give up on it anytime soon.
While there was no release date mentioned in the trailer, and it was only confirmed to be coming in 2024, the trailer has confirmed that Bethesda is seemingly pulling all the stops in a Hail Mary pass. While it isn’t known if the upcoming expansion will be enough to save the game’s declining player retention numbers, one thing is sure: it is a glimmer of hope for Xbox fans.

The Xbox Games Showcase is one of the biggest events of the gaming calendar, and after PlayStation’s State of Play and Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest, it presents the last big opportunity for gamers to see what’s in store for the following couple of years, at least until Gamescom in August.
Geoff Keighley (of Summer Game Fest fame) went public with his attempt at downplaying the hype around his own showcase this year, which was a first, and with the poor showing of PlayStation, many believe this points to a bumper year for the Xbox Games Showcase.
As with any other showcase, we’ve taken the time to try and figure out the most, least, and completely unlikely predictions for what we may see in the showcase!

Everyone knows "The Simpsons" has basically predicted every major cultural moment in recent history. From Disney's 2021 acquisition of Fox to Donald Trump's presidency, the long-running show has managed to prove time and again that it has its finger on the pulse of pop culture — well, at least it used to. But the show is also responsible for directly contributing to other pop culture moments, such as when Merriam-Webster added the word "Cromulent" — first used in the 1996 episode "Lisa the Iconoclast" — to the dictionary.
Another '90s episode featured the origin of a minor "Simpsons" joke that would end up enduring for decades, although in a much less conspicuous way. "Grampa vs. Sexual Inadequacy" is the tenth episode of the show's sixth season, and while it didn't quite make /Film's list of the 25 best "Simpsons" episodes, frankly every golden age episode could have been on that list, and this one is no different.

As time goes on, it has become increasingly clear that Fallout 3 and Oblivion probably won’t get a remaster as Skyrim did. First leaked during the FTC trial documents that were revealed back in 2023, the studio is quite busy with the new Elder Scrolls and Fallout 5 after that.
It’s got a lot on its plate, and focusing on remastering older games is probably at the bottom of its list of priorities. However, it’s also possible that other studios can handle these remasters.
Todd Howard’s Comments and the Skyrim Exception Fallout 3 is still considered one of Bethesda’s best.
Todd Howard, the mastermind behind Bethesda and these games, had an interview with Time in 2016 where he spilled some interesting details. He talked about how remastering Skyrim was kind of a one-time thing. The game got its remaster five years after its original release, which is relatively fast in gaming years.

When it comes to Fallout‘s breakout TV success, no one is more pleasantly surprised than star Walton Goggins, who plays fan-favorite The Ghoul in Prime Video‘s post-apocalyptic series. “To be quite honest with you, no. No one really expected it,” Goggins told TV Insider on the red carpet at the inaugural Gotham TV Awards on June 4. It “is a lovely surprise really, because you don’t make it for that,” he added of the show’s breakout success. “I’ve been doing this a very long time,” Goggins went on. “The Shield had its audience, Justified had its audience, [The Righteous] Gemstones has its audience, Vice Principals had [its audience]. I’ve done 15 shows and they’ve all spoken to a group of people, but this one has spoken to a much bigger group.” Prime Video To put into perspective the bigger group that Fallout has spoken to, the series became a global hit,...

Netflix’s live roast of NFL great Tom Brady made it into the Nielsen streaming rankings for its premiere, despite only being available for a few hours of that week. After its first full week on the streamer, it rocketed to the top of the charts.
The Roast of Tom Brady gathered 1.67 billion minutes of viewing for the week of May 6-12, leading all streaming titles by a wide margin (the second-place finisher, Grey’s Anatomy, had 1.11 billion minutes of watch time for the week). The roast also had by far the biggest weekly viewing tally ever for a Netflix special; the previous high was 798 million minutes for Chris Rock’s stand-up special Selective Outrage in March 2023.
The 1.67 billion minutes of viewing for the roast in the United States translates to about 27.87 million hours, or about two thirds of Netflix’s reported worldwide total (42.2 million hours) for the special that week.

Jeremy Renner, known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, made waves in the action genre with his portrayal of William Brandt in the Mission: Impossible franchise. His debut came with Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), followed by a reprisal in Rogue Nation (2015). Renner’s character quickly became a beloved part of the franchise. However, fans were left wondering about his absence in Fallout (2018). The reason, as Renner himself explained, had much to do with personal priorities. As he put it: I had to leave that. I was supposed to do more with them. I...

The Axis Unseen is an upcoming horror game where players hunt different monsters that can only be heard of in stories that come from different parts of the world. The game comes from one of the former Fallout developers, Nate Purkeypile.
His latest creation promises to be a unique experience. This is not because of a story on its own, but because the game will feature three things every game needs to start including. These can’t be found in modern Aaa titles, but Purkeypile promises it will revolutionize indie games.

The Fallout series is one of the most popular RPG series of all time, and it has also propelled Bethesda to new heights. After the last game in the video game series was a letdown for most fans, the next title is rumored to be released after a long wait.

The funniest thing about Prime Video’s recent Fallout TV show was just how shocked was everyone by its immediate overwhelming popularity, including its creators, actors, the franchise’s Og fans, and the platform’s top management. No one expected Fallout to work miracles, but they still made the series with great care and love and meticulous attention to detail — and it turned out to be a huge hit.
Fallout was renewed for Season 2 only three days after Season 1’s premiere, and we already have an amazing update: the next part might be closer than we thought.

Ubisoft’s action-adventure franchise has managed to captivate gamers with an appropriate portrayal of hacking culture and underground networks. The studio even had a film adaptation planned, but it ended up being stuck in development hell.
However, it seems like the Watch Dogs film adaptation is finally gearing up. The Robin Hood star, Tom Blyth, has now joined the film cast. While this has undoubtedly caused massive excitement among fans, many point towards the failure of the Assassin’s Creed movie series and believe that we shouldn’t even bother hyping up.

Renner reprised his role in the next movie, Rogue Nation, and was even rumored to take over the series from Cruise. Fallout launched two months ago with a big question hovering over it — could another postapocalyptic streaming drama based on a video game also become a hit after the success of HBO’s The Last of Us? Any doubts were quickly erased, with Fallout racking up a 92 percent average positive review score on Rotten Tomatoes and breaking Prime Video streaming records with its sprawling tale of three very different survivors (played by Ella Purnell, Aaron Clifton Moten and Walton Goggins) navigating a nuclear wasteland amid moments of graphic violence and off-beat humor.

Months before the highly anticipated third season of “Hacks” premiered, Gold Derby’s thousands of 2024 Emmy predictors collectively agreed that it poses the biggest threat to defending Best Comedy Series champion “The Bear.” As the Max series’ latest batch of episodes dropped throughout May, its standing in the main race steadily improved, with its well-received finale triggering noticeable boosts in multiple categories.
Over the past week, the share of top Best Comedy Series votes held by “The Bear” decreased by 1.2%, while that of “Hacks” grew by the same amount. Although the two programs remain separated by nearly 80 percentage points, it speaks volumes that “Hacks” is at least 1.5 points ahead of every other contender.

Jeremy Renner has revealed that he was asked to appear in 2018’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout but refused when he found out his character was going to be killed off.
Long time appreciators of the Mission: Impossible franchise will probably remember that Jeremy Renner had a prominent role alongside Tom Cruise in two movies before mysteriously vanishing around the middle of the 2010s.
It turns out there’s a good reason for this: having previously appeared in 2011’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and 2015’s Rogue Nation, Renner was invited to return as globe-trotting agent William Brandt for a third time in 2018’s Fallout. Then the actor discovered that the film’s plot would see his character killed off after just a few scenes, and so he flatly refused to appear.

Jeremy Renner’s history with the “Mission: Impossible” franchise spans two films, 2011’s “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and 2015’s “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.” During an interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the actor revealed that he was actually asked to reprise the character of Imf agent William Brandt in the 2018 sequel “Fallout.” However, the offer was apparently for Renner to shoot one week so that Brandt could be killed off. Renner refused.
“I remember they tried to bring me over[seas] for a week so they could kill my character, and I was like, ‘No, you don’t get to do that. You’re not going to drag me over there and just kill my character,’ like get out of here!” Renner said. “If you’re going to do this and you’re going to use my character, you’re going to do it right.”

In the modern gaming industry, spinoffs and sequels are dominating the market. Among them, one of the biggest names is The Elder Scrolls. Every sequel of the game has been met with great affection and attention from players and industry critics.
However, there was one spinoff idea that Todd Howard and his team at Bethesda could have taken. There was speculation (later confirmed) about the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim spinoff which will be inspired by the fast-paced action of Call of Duty.

In response to many speculations, Chris Avellone, a former writer at Obsidian Entertainment confirmed that there was a discussion and pitched an idea to create a The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim spinoff which was later canceled. The idea was to take the rich lore and vast landscapes...

“Let’s not make ’em laugh” seems to be the new mantra for rewarding comedies at the Emmys.
Clear-cut, humor-filled chuckle fests once dominated the Emmys for comedy series, with classics such as “Taxi,” “The Golden Girls,” “Friends” and “Seinfeld” amusing generations of fans and finding new life via reruns and streaming services.
However, at the dawn of the streaming era, the multi-pronged so-called dramedy began creeping up in the awards circle with titles such as Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black” — which famously changed from comedy to drama — and Amazon Prime Video’s “Transparent.” As of late, the category has taken a more serious turn.
In recent years, the nominees and winners for comedy series have reflected a broader, more inclusive interpretation of comedy. Shows like Amazon’s “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “Fleabag,” along with HBO’s “Barry” and Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso” have garnered critical...

10. Knight Titus
The source of Maximus’ genuine excitement, his new master quickly proved to be an egotistical pathetic cretin who enjoyed humiliating others and cared little for his noble quest.
Knight Titus was more than willing to use his squire as a meat shield and then, after failing to defeat a Yao Guai in full power armor, put the blame on him.
9. The Snake Oil Salesman
While unnamed, this pathetic creature deserves no empathy and was definitely a vile person. The so-called Snake Oil Salesman readily sold a heavily irradiated “potion” to a desperate man, knowing fully well it would turn the poor idiot into a ghoul. We’re not even talking about the Salesman’s peculiar relationship with pet chickens.
8. The Ghoul
Now, Cooper Howard was an arrogant and misled person, but not a villain — but two centuries in the Wasteland turned him into one undoubtedly evil ghoul. The...

Disclaimer: This article contains major spoilers for Fallout Season 1.
Prime Video’s Fallout TV show expanded the franchise’s lore in many ways, but the apparent fall of the Ncr is among the most major ones. Some Og fans didn’t like this decision, but seeing that the series is officially canon, there’s little to nothing we can do — except for resenting how we weren’t told the reasons for the Ncr’s fall.
Except that we were… Just in a really subtle and unexpected way.
Charlie Longkife Explained America’s Downfall
The Ghoul’s flashbacks to the pre-war days when he was still known as Cooper Howard beautifully explain many plot points in the story and give context for the new audience. However, they also answer some damning questions in the most sneaky and unobvious ways. For instance, the talk between Cooper and his old friend Charlie Longkife...
