The Taylor Sheridan-created Yellowstone is a milestone when it comes ti the Western genre. Starting Kevin Costner in the lead, the TV show is almost at its end, even though we are yet to get any updates on the second half of the fifth and final season of the show. But Yellowstone is not the only creation by Sheridan, who also has movies like Sicario and Wind River and the hit TV show, Mayor of Kingstown to his credit.
Yellowstone | Credit: ParamountHis hold over the Western genre is commendable, as Sheridan has gone on to create some solid projects that have the audiences hooked. He also has a knack for casting the perfect fit for every character, and that is not limited to just the primary cast. Even the extras and secondary cast members end up becoming fan favorites, and that’s exactly what happened with Ryan Bingham, who...

Yee-haw! Yellowstone co-stars Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison are officially married. The actors, who play onscreen love interests Walker and Laramie in the hit Paramount Network series, wed at Harrison’s family home in Dallas, Texas. Their wedding would make any Yellowstone fan cheer. “I knew I wanted Western, but it had to be elegant Western, with tones of worn leather, delicate lace, and a soft, blush color palette,” Harrison told Vogue. Their nuptials had a cowboy black tie dress code. Harrison wore two wedding dresses on her big day, one for the ceremony and another one for the reception. The couple wrote their own vows. Harrison recalled the moment she saw Bingham as she walked down the aisle. “It was a moment so raw and filled with emotion, it perfectly captured everything we felt about stepping into this new chapter together,” she said. Bingham’s three children from his...

Last summer, Paul Schrader was about to start shooting “Oh, Canada,” his adaptation of Russell Banks’ novel about a troubled artist taking stock of his life, when the major actors union went on strike. For a second, it looked like all that hard work, passion and planning might be for nothing — with performers on the picket lines and major studios holding out on their contract demands, it was hard to see how cameras would ever roll on the low-budget indie.
“Everything shut down,” said Brian Beckmann, the CFO and COO of Arclight Films, which is selling international rights to the film. “We were in this position where we had spent all this money and secured all this talent and we weren’t sure we could move forward until the strikes were over.”

Comedy series “Tacoma Fd” has been canceled at TruTV after four seasons, Variety has confirmed.
The series originally debuted on the basic cabler back in 2019. The show was part of the network’s push into original scripted series, alongside other shows like “At Home With Amy Sedaris,” “I’m Sorry,” and “Bobcat Goldthwait’s Misfits & Monsters.” However, TruTV’s original programming lineup has been winnowed down to virtually nothing in the past few years, with the only original series still on the network being the hidden camera show “Impractical Jokers.”
Likewise, fellow TNets like TBS and TNT — all of which fall under the Warner Bros. Discovery umbrella — have gone from notable rosters of scripted shows to having none. Most recently, the TBS comedy series “Miracle Workers” was canceled after four seasons. That show featured a cast that included Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi.

“Yellowstone” Season 5 has been slow, to say the least. So slow, in fact, that this season is actually being cut into two halves with the latter debuting this summer. The midseason finale tried to inject some necessary action into a rather lackluster season, mainly with Jamie (Wes Bentley) and Beth (Kelly Reilly) duking it out, but overall it was more a spinoff for the upcoming Taylor Sheridan spinoff “6666,” starring long-time cast member Jefferson White as cowboy Jimmy, than it was wrapping up any significant threads.
That being said, we were left with a few burning questions about what the second half of Season 5 could, and should, answer.
1. Beth’s killing Jamie, right?
Earlier in December I conjectured that Jamie was contemplating another murder—you know, to go with the previous two he already committed—but assumed he would attempt to take out his father, John (Kevin Costner). Instead, the...

This Yellowstone review contains spoilers.
Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 3
It was only a week ago when our review of the first two episodes of Yellowstone season 5 deemed this season “deliberately paced” or even “superfluous” – these are diplomatic ways of saying that the double-sized premiere of the show felt slow, and even repeated story beats audiences saw in season 4 at times. Yet, there was always faith. Faith in the show. Faith that with some slower moments will come excitement. Faith in Taylor Sheridan’s writing.
Surprisingly, Sheridan, who typically hooks viewers almost immediately, is going for a slow burn to unveil the secrets of this season’s story. There were plenty of things happening in episode 1 and 2, but nothing to really talk about. Yes, John (Kevin Costner) is now governor, but that was almost a forgone conclusion. Yes, Jamie (Wes Bentley) and Beth (Kelly Reilly) still hate one another, but again, this is nothing new.

“Yellowstone” actor Forrie J. Smith will not attend the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards due to rules requiring all attendees to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
The “Yellowstone” cast is nominated in the top category of ensemble in a television drama alongside “Succession,” “Squid Game,” “The Morning Show” and “The Handmaid’s Tale.” The nomination marked “Yellowstone’s” first major bit of awards attention after four seasons on air.
