Tom Brady’s first roast will likely be his last.
During an appearance on “The Pivot Podcast,” the retired quarterback revealed that some of the jokes made during his recent Netflix roast poorly affected his children and that he wouldn’t sign up to do it again. While he didn’t specify the jokes in question, many of the comedians who took the stage targeted his high-profile marriage and divorce to Gisele Bündchen, with whom he has two kids. (Brady also has a third child with Bridget Moynahan.)

Tom Brady survived through his scorching Netflix roast, heralded as a major win for comedy.
The NFL legend was a good sport throughout the event, while comedians, including Nikki Glaser, Jeff Ross, and Tony Hinchcliffe, took a flamethrower to his personal life and career through the brilliance of comedic insults.
Some moments hit harder than any sack Brady likely experienced on the football field, and one instance featured Brady seemingly scolding a comedian about a joke that may have crossed the line.
And while the seven-time Super Bowl champion seemed to roll with the punches and even deliver a few of his own, he recently explained why he regretted his decision.
Speaking on his experience with the roast, Brady indicated he “loved” many of the jokes focused on him.
Despite the fun and laughs entertaining a massive live audience and many Netflix viewers, the retired NFL star revealed why he wouldn’t endure it again.

Kim Kardashian was met with resounding boos at Netflix’s roast of Tom Brady — but you’d never know it unless you watched it live.
The streamer has edited out the portion of the roast where Kardashian was booed, TVLine has confirmed. (The Hollywood Reporter first noted the change.) In Sunday’s original live broadcast, Kardashian was booed loudly as she took the stage at the roast, stopping midway through her first joke to glare at the crowd as several of her fellow roasters came to her defense. But in the version currently streaming on Netflix, the booing is nowhere to be found.

17,000 fans. The reunion of an American football dynasty and the coach no one expected to show. Televised live around the world while the reputation of a man considered “the greatest of all time” sits in the hands of savage comedians and one-time foes. What could go wrong?
But here we are, just days after Tom Brady took to the stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles for Sunday’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time,” and the walls are still standing. For decades roast comedy has been a beloved national tradition, once shepherded on TV by Comedy Central. It was a show that often targeted Hollywood legends or zeitgeist icons. It took the willingness of Brady, who holds a record 7 Super Bowl rings, to reinvigorate the format for streaming under host Kevin Hart. And not just any roast, which would typically be shot on a Hollywood backlot and edited ahead of its premiere.

Host Kevin Hart introduced Kardashian, and as the Kardashians star took the podium, she thanked the comedian and paused after the initial cheers. The cheers then turned to boos, prompting Kardashian to say, “All right, all right, all right.”

Sunday’s live Tom Brady Netflix roast quickly made headlines when comedian Jeff Ross made a joke that alluded to Patriots owner Robert Kraft being charged with soliciting prostitution after an investigation into massage parlors in Florida.
Though Brady told Ross at the podium, “don’t say that shit again,” Ross now says the NFL star wasn’t that upset about the joke.
During the Netflix special, Ross said of Brady’s early days with the Patriots, “So Tom became a Patriot and moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft‘s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made. Would you like a massage?’”

Today on Howard Stern, comedian Nikki Glaser revealed the jokes she held back on during Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time last weekend.
“Tom, I love your work — that you’ve done on your face,” said Glaser reading one of her cut jokes to Stern.
“Seriously, slow down,” she said, referencing gossip that Brady has had work done. “What is happening with your cheeks? You look like a Ken doll that was microwaved. You love deflating things, so stop.”
The comedian also had a joke about the NFL and Cte at the ready, alleging a massive coverup all “for the sake of men hugging each other in a Buffalo Wild Wings.”

If there’s any truth to the old adage that history happens first as tragedy and then as farce, it was fitting that years of media sniping and public relitigation of the New England Patriots’ six Super Bowl wins culminated in Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and Robert Kraft doing shots together at a Netflix comedy festival.

While Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues was released back in 2013, no solid plan for a follow-up has been announced. However, this does not mean that Ron Burgundy is officially gone from the spotlight, as Will Ferrell looks to break out the character every now and then. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the latest instance of Burgundy’s mustachioed return came at the Netflix comedy special, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady. Before Burgundy took the stage, he was introduced as “a living legend, a world-class lover and the No. 1 news anchor in all of Sunday.” Then, Ferrell sported a corduroy jacket and proceeded to joke, “My name is Ron Burgundy. I am a very big deal but tonight is not about me. …We are here to honor a champion of the gridiron, a great American, a father and a sexy man, a true patriot — until he was not.

1. “Superbad” (2007): Friendship and Hilarity
Few films capture the awkward and hilarious journey of teenage friendship quite like “Superbad.” This coming-of-age comedy follows two best friends on a quest to impress their crushes before their high school days come to an end. With relatable characters and uproarious escapades, it’s a surefire way to put a smile on your face.

“Where’s the outrage?” That’s the theme that underlies just about every news report on Donald Trump, and nearly every documentary that spins around him. That would include “Stormy,” a reasonably absorbing film that presents the Stormy Daniels saga from Daniels’ point-of-view, revealing her to be a compelling and highly conflicted figure. The movie, which premiered tonight at SXSW (it drops on Peacock on March 18), replays the scandal with a kind of breathless, furrowed-brow, tabloid-meets-serious-news propulsive documentary “excitement.” It casts Stormy Daniels as a liberal folk hero, a soldier in the culture wars, and a post-MeToo tabloid-ready figurehead of the resistance. The whole intention of the movie is to stoke the outrage.
Yet somehow, the outrage is never quite there — or, rather, it’s there in a film like “Stormy,” but it’s never where it’s supposed to be, which is in the hearts of the people who...

Harper Steele is, with no exaggeration, one of my favorite comedy writers to ever do it. Not only did she write on "Saturday Night Live" from 1995-2015, the years when I was developing my own sense of humor, but she's also behind the Lifetime film "A Deadly Adoption" and the Academy Award-nominated Netflix flick, "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga." She was also a writer on the "Doug" episode "Doug's Cool Shoes," which has some of the best visual joke-telling of the animated series' first season. This is to say that Steele has been formative in shaping my ability to find humor in the world around me.
Over the years, Steele has become best friends with Will Ferrell, arguably one of the most recognizable comedic actors in the world. Ferrell and Steele are frequent collaborators, and their latest project is "Will & Harper," a documentary about the pair...

A knockout performance anchors a mostly charming fish-out-of-water comedy that has stayed a seasonal favorite ever since
The first rule in the Code of Elves is to “treat every day like Christmas”, and that, in a nutshell, is Will Ferrell’s comic style. At 6ft 3in, he’s almost always the tallest actor on screen yet his instinct is to play even bigger, with an ungainly exuberance that tends to set the tone for whatever scene he’s in. He’s a Bergdorf Goodman window display. He’s the neighbor who nearly kills himself every year hanging enough lights and gaudy holiday bric-a-brac around his house to slow traffic in the subdivision. He couldn’t fade back into the scenery if he tried – and, to his immense credit, he never, ever tries.

As Ron Burgundy once taught us, there’s only one thing a man can do when he’s suffering from a spiritual and existential funk — and no, Champ, it’s not go to the zoo and flip off the monkeys — it’s buy new “Suits.”
That’s what Universal, funk or no funk, is doing.
A new “Suits” series, described to IndieWire as an “expansion” of the “Suits” world, is in development at UCP. “Suits” creator Aaron Korsh is the lead writer on the project, and several original EPs are likely to return. There is no pilot yet, we’re told, though this version will focus on new characters and likely take place in Los Angeles. The Last Voyage Of The Demeter Continues David Dastmalchian's Biggest Year Yet [Exclusive Interview]
If you've been paying attention to the genre space, you know that 2023 is a gigantic year for David Dastmalchian. The prolific character actor has already worked on "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," "Boston Strangler," "The Boogeyman," and "Oppenheimer," and our fingers are crossed that "Late Night with the Devil," a banger that debuted at this year's SXSW Film Festival, will also get a release before the year is over. But that's not all: Dastmalchian also plays a major role in "The Last Voyage of the Demeter," a spooky vampire story taken from a chapter of Bram Stoker's "Dracula" and plays out largely on what Ron Burgundy might call "an old, old wooden ship."
Dastmalchian plays Wojchek, the stoic first mate to Liam Cunningham's steadfast captain. When they set sail for London, they soon make the horrifying discovery that the crew is being attacked when night falls. With paranoia...

If there was any doubt that Will Ferrell wasn’t a huge fan of the Los Angeles Kings, he dispelled them with his appearance at the team’s Stanley Cup playoff game against the Edmonton Oilers on Friday night at Crypto.con Arena in L.A.
In photos taken at the game, Ferrell is seen with his face painted in white and black squares, in honour of the team’s colours.

To quote Ron Burgundy, “Boy, that escalated quickly!” In our predictions on Thursday it looked like Illuminations Super Mario Bros. Movie was heading towards an $87 million 3-day weekend with $128 million for its 5-day total. I thought the film could go higher, saying at least $90 million for the 3-day figure, but still keeping my prediction conservative as to not go too overboard, especially since we already had a heads up on the film’s opening day numbers from Wednesday.
Well, when I went to theaters that Thursday night, I knew my prediction was way off! The theater lobby was packed more than I had seen it packed on a Thursday night in a long time. Parents and excited kids wearing their Mario and Luigi Halloween costumes filled the concession lines, it was in that moment, as I made my way to the theater playing Ben Affleck’s Air, that I knew The Super Mario Bros.

This is kind of a big deal. Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy stopped by not one, not two, but six different late-night shows as a surprise guest on Thursday: “Conan,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “The Late Late Show,” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
The sharp-dressing, dull-minded, mustachioed anchorman from “Anchorman” wore the same turtleneck-scarf combo when he performed some stand-up comedy on each of the nighttime talk shows, which, as Burgundy told Fallon, “has been a lifelong passion” of his for “about a week now.”
From Corden to Kimmel, every host played into the joke that Ferrell was Ron Burgundy(?), talking with him in-character so he could promote the new season of “The Ron Burgundy Podcast” on iHeartRadio.

Will Ferrell hasn’t left his Anchorman character Ron Burgundy too far behind since creating the bumbling broadcaster in the 2004 hit comedy.
After reprising the role for the 2013 sequel, the Saturday Night Live vet, 52, has stepped back into Burgundy’s shoes from time to time over the years — doing everything from anchoring a Los Angeles Kings NHL game to making an appearance at a charity gala.
In January, he even went as far as to launch The Ron Burgundy Podcast, a wide-ranging iHeartRadio Original chat show co-produced by Funny Or Die.
But none of that could top what Ferrell did on Thursday.

CBS’ Stephen Colbert and James Corden, NBC’s Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel and TBS’ Conan O’Brien were all set to welcome a special, surprise guest on their respective Thursday-night broadcasts — and that guest was none other than the former anchor of San Diego’s award-winning Channel 4 news team, Ron Burgundy.
In a series of previously recorded segments, Will Ferrell appeared in character as his Anchorman alter ego. Each appearance consisted of a completely original stand-up comedy routine, followed in some cases by a sit-down interview. In fact, O’Brien and Colbert had no other guests.

News team, assemble! Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is officially 15 years old and while we are trying to stay classy here, we're sort of in a glass case of emotion about this major movie milestone. On July 9, 2004, fans were first introduced to the Channel 4 News Team (from the 1970s)—made up of Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) and Champ Kind (David Koechner)—and boy was this squad hilarious. After Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) was brought into the San Diego news station to switch things up and show an Anchorlady on screen, the testosterone-filled office did not take it well.
