- The English dubbed version featured John Tremaine as the voice of Tchéky Karyo's character Bob.
- The original US release had a different title card to go with the longer title. Instead of "Nikita" with the letters spread out and copyright notices at the bottom, it shrinks "Nikita" a little, with "La Femme" above it, and no copyright. Copyright information is placed after the film. Samuel Goldwyn distribution cards appear at the beginning and end (before copyright). The 2008 US Blu-ray features the original title card on screen, although the case still uses the longer one, and it begins with a fairly modern Gaumont production logo.
- The 2008 US Blu-ray does not provide subtitles for the nursery rhyme Nikita sings half an hour in when she presents her computer instructor with a mouse. (The French subtitle track merely says that she sings obnoxiously.) Other editions, for example the original US laserdisc, however, provide a translation: "One white mouse / Ran into my house / I grabbed its tail / And made it wail".
