- Maj. Michael Devlin: There still might be five bodies out there. There's only one problem -- They don't have any generals pushing for them.
- Maj. Michael Devlin: Your hands must be pretty sticky by now, Joe. What with this heat and the kid gloves you've been using.
- Tony: They're ready to confirm we jumped with Hamner. We need something to prove that we came down in this desert.
- Tony: Before Hamner's finished, he'll have the plane taking off by itself and us drinking beer in Benghazi.
- Brig. Gen. Russell Hamner: All we can accomplish here is to tie off a loose end of ancient history. My concern is with the future.
- Maj. Michael Devlin: Sometimes the future is determined by the past.
- Brig. Gen. Russell Hamner: Remember I flew 22 missions with this crew. We almost died together.
- Maj. Michael Devlin: But you didn't.
- Maj. Michael Devlin: Don't you get the feeling of time just hanging here, suspended all these years?
