Aliaksandra Vaitsekhovic

Aliaksandra Vaitsekhovich was born in Minsk, Belarus on Nov. 30, 1987. She is a seasoned theatre and film actress, as well as a being a theatre coach and teacher. Aliaksandra has achieved considerable success in three Minsk theaters where she performed and taught for some years. Aliaksandra has had varied roles on stage, including in the musicals, "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Next to Normal." Since 2020, Aliaksandra has been living in Wroclaw, Poland where she opened up a small film school called Nook. There, with two other female partners, people from the non-acting communities, such as those who work in information technology, and managers throughout the business sectors, get their chance to hone their acting skills with speech technique courses, as well as working in front of and behind the camera. In her film career, Aliaksandra played the lead role of Lena in the critically-acclaimed Short, "Na zywo" ("Live"; dir. Mara Tamkovich) based on two intrepid journalists, Katerina Andreeva and Daria Chultsova of the independent Belarusian television station, Belsat. These two women filmed consequential events at "Change Square" in Minsk. Since "Na zywo," ("Live") achieved acclaim at various film fests, including at Polish Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, and elsewhere, the feature version is in production in Warsaw as of May 2022. Aliaksandra also played in the film, "Kupala," in 2019.
