When it comes to seeing your favorite bands and artists live this year, there’s a good chance they’re playing at a music festival in a city near you. Aside from well-known events like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, there’s no shortage of other multi-day fests around the country, from BottleRock in Napa, to a relatively new fest in Iowa with some of the biggest acts in music.

Shakira has always been quite meticulous about the production elements of her different tours and performances — so much so, that it’s made her even lose some money.

When life gives you lemons, you have to make lemonade - and that's exactly what Shakira did after heartbreak. When the Colombian pop star learned in 2022 that Gerard Piqué, her partner of 11 years and the father of her two sons, was cheating on her, I'm sure it felt as if her life was falling apart. But when she couldn't bear the pain and the betrayal, she did what most musicians do - she turned it into art.
The first song Shakira released that was directly related to the breakup was 2022's "Te Felicito" with Puerto Rican Latin trap artist Rauw Alejandro. The song not only marked Shakira's comeback, it was also the first in a string of singles that would display her healing journey to the world and eventually become part of her latest highly anticipated album, "Las Mujeres Ya no Lloran," which was released on March 22.

Since 2022, Shakira’s personal life has publicly unfolded like an engrossing telenovela that just won’t resolve. The saga began in June of that year, when the Grammy-winning Colombian superstar announced the end of her 11-year romance with the Catalan soccer player, and father of her two children, Gerard Piqué. Despite taking a civil tone in a press release issued that summer, she came firing back in 2023 with a tabloid-ready diss track, detailing their breakup (and Piqué’s infidelity) in excruciating detail: the electro-pop atomic bomb “Bzrp Music Sessions #53,”recorded...

Shortly after his friend Valentina Gasparini passed away, Residente began seeing the number “313” everywhere.
He’d been in a hotel, listening to one of Gasparini’s old voicemails, when a piano started playing a haunting melody below him. He looked up at the clock: 3:13. Then he began clicking through audio notes Gasparini had left him — she’d been an accomplished violinist and they’d collaborated on a lot of music together. The last one she’d sent him had been at 3:13 p.m. He’d responded with a message that was 3:13 minutes.

By the mid-2010s, Daymé Arocena had become a household name in her native Havana. She’d been called “the world’s next jazz phenomenon,” and her work with the Cuban-Canadian jazz band Maqueque helped win a 2015 Juno Award. When she’d walk down the street, people would stop her, recognizing her as the singer with the powerful, heart-atomizing voice. At restaurants, fans would come up to her and greet her enthusiastically. “I’d built a reputation there,” she remembers. “But I started to feel like I’d hit a ceiling in Cuba.

Some fans think that Jeremy Allen White showed love to rumored girlfriend Rosalia in a subtle but meaningful way while attending the 2024 Critics Choice Awards.
The 32-year-old The Bear actor won big at the awards show on Sunday (January 14). A few days prior, he and the 31-year-old singer flaunted some Pda during a night out in Los Angeles.
She didn’t join him at the award show, but it looks like Jeremy might have been wearing a subtle tribute to Rosalia on his body – a red rose brooch on the lapel of his jacket.
Fans noticed that he would also not be the first of Rosalia‘s partners to wear a similar accessory.

If you talk to people who have worked with Kali Uchis, they often use her name as an adjective to describe her essence and artistry: “It has a Kali-ness to it” or “a Kali trademark,” they say, capturing her distinct vibe.
On Orquídeas, the singer’s fourth studio album, which she released on Friday, Uchis delves deep into her Colombian heritage without straying away from the essence that’s made her stand out over the last decade.

Kali Uchis has shared her new album Orquídeas, her fourth studio album overall and her second sung entirely in Spanish.
Orquídeas includes the previously released singles “Muñekita” featuring El Alfa and City Girls’ Jt, “Te Mata,” and “Labios Mordidos” featuring Karol G. Other collaborators on the 14-track album include Peso Pluma, and Rauw Alejandro, as well as her real-life partner Don Toliver, with whom she just revealed she’s expecting her first child in the new music video for “Tu Corazón Es Mío / Diosa.”
Orquídeas translates to “orchid,” and Uchis explained the significance of the album’s botanical title in a statement: “The orchid is the national flower of Colombia, and we have more species of orchid than anywhere on earth,” she said. “I always felt distinctly intrigued and magnetized by the flower. This album is inspired by the timeless, eerie, mystic, striking, graceful, and sensual allure of the orchid.

Few artists can set a scene like Kali Uchis. Each of her albums has proven that she’s a master of mood boards and a queen of aesthetics: Her 2018 debut album, Isolation, was a lush world of retro R&b best enjoyed on a heart-shaped couch; 2023’s Red Moon in Venus included cosmic, shape-shifting pop songs to be drunk up during a lunar eclipse. We don’t always cover celebrities’ love lives, but when we do, it often comes from a place of bewilderment: Rosalía is definitely dating Jeremy Allen White, US Weekly reports.
“They started out as just friends, but things have turned romantic recently,” a source told the publication, confirming rumors that the Bear actor and the singer had started up a fling together. While it looks like the two have yet to be spotted kissing out in public, they have definitely been hanging out, apparently taking trips to the farmer’s market and doing other things that rich hot people do in Los Angeles.
And at the risk of further pushing the celebrity gossip agenda, it is worth noting that both White and Rosalía have both recently endured what we can only assume have been gnarly breakups; White’s wife of three years filed for divorce in May, and just a couple of months later,...

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards didn’t air on TV this year and the event was streamed online through videos uploaded to the Billboard website.
Pre-taped performances and acceptance speeches, which were filmed all around the world while artists are on tour, made up the awards show this year.
Morgan Wallen was the big winner of the night with 11 wins while Taylor Swift followed closely behind with 10 wins, including the Top Artist prize.
Taylor and Drake are now tied for the most wins ever at the Billboard Music Awards.
“Well this is unreal,” Taylor told fans in her speech. “The fact that you guys have given me 10 Billboard Awards — I’m talking to the fans specifically. None of this happens without you. The Billboards base everything off of what you are listening to and what you’re passionate about, and I’m so honored that this year you made The Eras Tour so magical.

These awards are based on fan interactions with music, but they’re not decided by an online vote. Instead, Billboard decides its finalists and winners using the metrics that determine the Billboard charts, including record sales, radio airplay and online streaming performance. Previously held during the spring, these awards have also moved to the fall to line up with the tracking period for Billboard’s year-end charts: November 19, 2022 through October 21, 2023.

It’s Rauw Alejandro’s planet and we’re just living in it. The Puerto Rican reggaeton star just took the stage at the Latin Grammys in Seville, Spain Thursday to perform a medley of songs, along with a tribute to Laura Pausini and a performance with Juanes.
Rauw opened his performance with a pre-recorded, autotune-supported rendition of Pausini’s ballad “Se Fue” while surrounded by candles and a ring of fire. (Was that aimed at Rosalía?)
