Fallout (2024)
A very well-made adaption with a great cast
Excellent writing, the different bits and pieces were connected to bring a satisfying ending. (Very) good character development, mystery, etc. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations, but I felt a deep respect for the game. It's a wonderful drama.
Also the motivations and/or the situations of the various characters can be quite complicated. Definitely a very well-made adaption with a great cast. Entire cast felt on point, suitable amount of humor at the right moments, gory and violent as hell, intriguing storyline, and so many fun easter eggs for fans. They understood the assignment
I wasn't a fan of the ending, but I enjoyed it overall.
Hayat (2023)
Recommended by Ismail
I've watched this movie after the recommandation of Ismail Kiliçaslan and let me tell you something this is the best Turkish movie I've ever seen. Its realism, realistic characters, realistic story containing all humanistic and ethical values are already milestones for not only for the Turkish cinema but also for the world. Zeki Demirkubuz's best film ever, even better than "Masumiyet".
As for the ups, the story is interesting, the scenes are well-shot, the acting is splendid, and the dose of bleakness is just right. Very enchanting scenario and poetic expression. Demirkubuz has a specific style. Imagine a film, that makes you feel the hardness of the pavement you hit your head onto, once again.
Another Life (2001)
Watching it is punishment
What most don't understand is just because a movie is about love and romance, does not make it good.
The characters were cold, calculated, and the love story in it is an affair between two amoral people. The woman is cheating on her husband, and her lover is a sneaky half-wit. She manipulates him and he killed the husband. Guess who gets the blame for that merciless murder: the husband.
I was not expecting car chases, explosions, or action at all. The film was about two bad people, and how one big bad thing keeps them away from something they want. In film, you could cheer for the villains when they're the protagonist, but when they're not interesting, it's quite difficult. On top of that, it was just an all around boring movie.
Yilbasi Gecesi (2022)
A complete waste of time
There is only one word to say and that is "disaster", It is such a film that a regular you-tube video is much more better. Having seen the core cast from popular TV series I had expected to watch a lot of fun and quality jokes touching the heart of today's agenda. Unfortunately, most of the action and jokes were quite simple and ordinary, straightforward and lacking any sign of creativity. It contains no ability to make smile, no entertainment. The movie itself was made poorly, the actors were like they were performing a 4th grade musical. Unnecessary exaggeration, nonsense of story. Just waste of time.
Rommel (2012)
Another example of Rommel myth
Another - not so good- example of the clean Wehrmacht and "incredible" Desert Fox myth. Movie played its part in creating and perpetuating the 'Rommel Myth'. Rommel's complicity in the darker parts of the Third Reich is much harder to establish than a general officer serving on the Eastern Front, but it was there. However movie portrays him as a chivalrous, apolotical, genius Prussian general
Most funny(!) part of the movie was his learning of the Holocaust in May 1944. Come on guys! He was a party member from the very begining.
