Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Who you gonna call!?
It has been a long time, since i've been able to rate a movie a 10/10, this movie is soooo awesome. I absolutely love it, I wish many of the older 80's movies got fantastic sequels like this one here, notice how I called it a sequel, that's because I heard that it is a sequel to Ghostbusters 2, and it's fantastic, I love this flick, It's a must see, I won't spoil anything about it, because I want you to see it all for yourself, Please go check it out!!! 10/10.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Monster action is good, humans are boring...
Yeah, this is a great film... Humans in this are a bit dull, monsters... they're god damn awesome. Love seeing some good monster action. This movie is a 8/10 for me, not saying it's bad but it's entertaining.
Jason X (2001)
MEH!
It's a film that attempts to be great and taken seriously, but how can you take it seriously after you've seen Jason as a demon-slug thing possessing people's bodies.. ??? Honestly, I cannot consider this film cannon, or in the same series. weren't these films meant to be taken seriously? By god, what were they thinking???
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988)
Not a great film. but..
You may say this is a good film and I do agree with you, it's good, but nowhere near as great as A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, it's still entertaining and is still worth a watch.
The Lost Boys (1987)
The only Good vampire flick I've ever seen in my entire 24 years on earth.
Without a doubt, a true classic that defines it's era, when I first heard of this film and watched it, I had no clue that Kiefer Sutherland was in this movie, sure I saw that he was in the film but I had no clue that he was the HOT STEAMING VAMPIRE and defines, Cool. He just pulls off the cool vampire look. I really enjoyed the performance from everyone in this movie, the vampires are all sick and not some sparkly vampires that sparkle in the sunlight, no these vampires are a true 10/10 and so is this movie, go check it out!
The Deliberate Stranger (1986)
Entertaining as hell.
Let's be honest, how can I spoil this movie? we already know what happened, we already know what happened to Ted Bundy. But I would like to give my thoughts on the film. It's a two part, made-for TV Movie and when I say Made-for TV, a lot of people will probably think "Oh the effects and acting are probably going to be bad." That's not the case here... Mark Harmon, the man who portrays Ted Bundy and you may remember him best from NCIS, in fact I think we all know him best from that show. From as far as I know, The Deliberate Stranger is a fantastic, edge of your seat thriller. The Acting is perfect for a TV Movie like this and I must admit, the first time I watched this film, it was around 11pm and I kept checking through the house, making sure doors were locked and keeping the outside lights on and looking out windows. This film really makes you think "How can someone like this, do such horrible things." How could Ted Bundy do this to people and that answer is simple... he was a Psychopath. This made-for TV movie is fantastic and Mark Harmon's performance is outstanding, I highly recommend it. 10/10.
Godzilla 1985 (1985)
Godzilla's back to raise terror!
Godzilla's back and has a new look... I like this 1985 Godzilla because he looks and acts more animal. He's clearly perfect. And To add to this, I must talk about Raymond Burr, he returns and reprises his role but both he and some of those in the American Army don't do much for the plot, they just sit and stand around and tell things which I really don't care for. All and all this film is great and I love it! (The Japanese version that is.) 9/10 highly recommended.
Godzilla (1998)
It's still entertaining.
This is an entertaining movie, it's not horrible nor is it fantastic... it's just entertaining... A Movie you can sit down and enjoy. The Characters are interesting...I guess. Godzilla *Clears throat* I mean Zilla is interesting and the fact that they turned him from a Godzillasaurus/Dinosaur that got mutated into this BIG MONSTER to an iguana that got mutated into this huge thing, I thought that was interesting...but did they have to make him out to me a wimp? That's what he is, he runs from the Army and he continues to hide and then lash out at the Army, he also never uses his atomic breath... Because he does not HAVE ATOMIC BREATH, they took that away from the character WHY!!!?? Why would they do that!!? That's a horrible idea, that's like remaking A Nightmare on elm street (Which I know they already did) but if they were to remove his burnt flesh and to remove the glove and take away the fact that if he kills you in a dream then you're dead in real life..... DON'T DO IT. Above all else, this movie could of been much better IF they just named it Zilla, or at least something else and removed anything related to Godzilla in the film and it simply would of become something else and maybe much more. As for now, the name continues to keep its "Godzilla" Name. Also the Japanese make fun of this in one of their Godzilla films (Godzilla GMK.) In which two characters talk about an American Kaiju attack that Americans believed was Godzilla, but really wasn't. This is a film I can recommend, it's worth a watch just for the fun entertaining action scenes. 8/10.
Gojira vs. Kingu Gidorâ (1991)
An OK Godzilla film.
Personally out of all things good in the Godzilla Franchise, I actually didn't like this film at all... Sorry, It felt slow, dull and boring and overall the time travel aspect of the film didn't work for me, it has not got the (back to the future) Vibe to it, it does not have the feel that I enjoy of a Godzilla film, I refuse to say I like it because I just don't! the characters don't do it for me and even though we have MIKI and she's cool as always but the others really don't do it for me. There's only a few Godzilla scenes and for me personally (I know I sound like I'm bitching) but, I just believe there's not enough Godzilla scenes in the film...Something doesn't feel all too right and I'll tell you now, there's one scene involving this guy who THINKS Godzilla's his friend and...well, You just have to see it! Lol. Anyway, this film is OK, 3/10.
Kaijû sôshingeki (1968)
Destroy all monsters. Thoughts.
Godzilla DESTROY ALL MONSTERS, is an OK film, it's got long boring scenes featuring the humans in which it's all "Talk, talk, talk." And has very little monster action until the end in which we see all our favourite of the time monsters team up to fight the evil King Ghidorah. It's the only scene in the film I recommend. Varan and Baragon, even though they're in the film they don't get enough screen time and as I also should mention this was meant to be the last Godzilla movie and so I'd like to say...The Movie is really MEH on my opinion; it's just the end battle scene that I enjoy the most. So, to cut things short, I give this film a 8/10. I still can recommend the whole entire film, but keep in mind there's tons of scenes involving the humans in which they're standing around talking and then going off to do something and continuing to do more things which to them are very important but for me, they feel long and stretched out... Still 8/10. Just skip to the end battle scene.
Gojira-Minira-Gabara: Oru kaijû daishingeki (1969)
Godzilla's revenge, is it good or bad or in the middle?
As a FAN of the Godzilla franchise, this is a film I constantly skip over DUE to having 0 interest in wanting to watch it. This film suffers from having boring characters, a plot that's not interesting and shameless stock footage that we've seen before in OTHER previous Godzilla films. It also gives the main boy of the film a Kaiju to talk to in his dreams... Did I not mention that all of these scenes involving this boy and the Minya AND the stock footage scenes are nothing more than dreams? Yeah...THEY ARE! And that's what makes this film worse for me. I also believe that this kid is nothing more than a Godzilla fan and that he's simply visioning all of these things inside his head and somehow, Minya teaches this boy how to stick up for himself by fighting his bullies and...It's just a bad movie. It's for little kids...This isn't for teens, isn't for adults...It's JUST for VERY Little kids... 1/10. Also Yes I do believe this movie is terrible.
Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005)
Hellraiser: the worst.
This is NOT a good Hellraiser FILM, it only has the Hellraiser name slapped on it along with Cenobites thrown in to make it a HELLRAISER FILM and when watching this film I noticed that this was your typical 2000s "Straight to the K-mart 2 dollar bin* Garbage, Terrible, Terrible, Terrible.... IMDb won't let me give it a 0 out of 10. Just 1.
Hellraiser: Inferno (2000)
Hellraiser 5: Inferno. Thoughts.
Upon first viewing, I disliked this film for being so different but then again I watched it 5 years later and actually think differently of it. A shady police detective becomes embroiled in a strange world of murder, sadism and madness after being assigned a murder investigation against a madman known only as "The Engineer" and I must say, this is a good film, it's not awful like some may say, but I will say that there will be times in which you think "Wait...it's been several minutes already, where's pinhead?" This movie is different compared to 3 and 4 and is alike to the 1st and 2nd films. Pinhead is your typical Priest of hell and is NOT your typical bad guy like he was portrayed in 3 and 4. He doesn't go around creating Cenobites to go hunt down the Lead Actor, he however psychologically messes with our lead character (Joseph Thorne)of which he soon comes to the realization of the horrifying events that are unfolding around him. This is a good film but I believe they could of done a bit more to make it more interesting than what it was. I'd like to give it a 5 out of 10 but feel as though it's not that Great, so I'll be giving it a 3 out of 10.
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
Two words to describe this movie, "Bloody Brilliant."
I admire this movie for it's style of editing and storyline, the actors are amazing, we've got actors like "Jared leto, Jennifer Connelly, Ellen Burstyn, Marlon Wayans." Yes Marlon Wayans is in this film but he's not trying to be funny and this film is NO Comedy, This film goes to show how messed up addiction can really be. Some may consider this film to be too slow for their liking, but personally, I enjoy this film that way. it's perfect. Everything is all fine and dandy and then... Things begin to unfold and become something well, depressing. Highly recommended, 10/10.
A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985)
Freddy's Revenge.
Jesse Walsh moves with his family into the home of the lone survivor from a series of attacks by dream-stalking psychopath, sadistic dream demon, Freddy Krueger. Jesse experiences nightmares every single night, all feature the same man who continues to harass Jesse, telling him to "Kill for me." This is a sequel which isn't as bad as some may say it is. It's not horrible, it's great. And it's great that we have characters we root for instead of wanting them to get slaughtered. Some of the practical effects look good but that's about it. I want to talk about this one scene in the movie I enjoyed a lot, Freddy raids Lisa's party and slaughters nearly everyone there. It's great! A very good film and sequel and is worth watching, 9/10
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)
Dream warriors, Don't wanna dream no more!! GREAT FILM!!!
SUCH A GREAT FILM, I love this film more than the first 2, it's a fantastic film about taking control of your own dreams. These Characters go from being terrified of Freddy to standing up for themselves and attacking that dirty S.O.B! Using their own powers to fight against him, However like always, Freddy finds out what hurts most and uses it against them, lurking one to her death as this girl walks over to the TV and tries to fix it when all of a sudden Freddy pops out and kills her and before the kill he states "Welcome to Prime Time bitch." Before smashing her face into the TV. It's great and I don't want to ruin anything here, so PLEASE go see this film, it's the best in the series and is one to remember. 10/10 GO SEE IT, it's a film I list as a (Must see before you die) Even if you're not a horror fan.
Kurt & Courtney (1998)
Nick Broomfield is the Dr Frankenstein of Documentaries.
Even though I am a huge fan of Kurt Cobain and NIRVANA, This Documentary which is on the Conspiracy Theory of Kurt's death which suggests he was murdered and that his wife (Courtney Love) Hired someone to murder him. Now let me talk about this...Film... I feel as though Nick Broomfield didn't care enough to want this film to actually be good. It felt to me as though he was never truly invested in wanting to make a Documentary on Kurt Cobain's death, who's he there for? what's he doing? Did he plan ahead? Doesn't sound like he did. He goes through several people who simply feel like they're nothing but talking heads, people who're there to help make this film a Documentary with interviews. Of course he interviews Dylan Carlson who was Kurt's best friend which you'd think would be a great interview but as it looks, Dylan sounds as though he's either tired or he's on some sort of drug (Not saying Heroin), But I would like to say that this film isn't great. But it's something you can sit down with a group of mates to laugh at and MOCK for being so stupid,... This film is nothing more than a wreck loose of a "Documentary" I don't recommend it. This isn't a good documentary. 1/10, awful...Truly Awful.
The Simpsons (1989)
Love this show, SO MUCH..Till the 21st season.
In 1989, The Simpsons came into FULL existence with their first season ever and since then, through the 90's, We were introduced to Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson who were so god damn interesting! Each character we got introduced to were so interesting to see, Moe and Barney along with Karl and Lenny, Kent and Patty and Selma... UGH! I can't deny but say I loved each and every single character except for Marty. A fair few Simpsons Episodes were highly enjoyable and entertaining. I'm going to pick some of my personal favorite episodes which are... Summer of 4ft. 2, The Springfield files, Homerpalooza, "HOW 90's could you get with an episode like that!!!???!?!?!, they had the Smashing Pumpkins in for voice acting and Sonic youth along with cypress hill.... OH MY GOD!!!! If they did this episode any earlier around, 1992 or 1993, they would of been able to have Kurt Cobain in the episode... But, We can only dream..." ALSO DID YOU KNOW, Sonic Youth threatened not to be in the episode if Courtney Love was cast in it? Now you do. Homer the heretic, Homer the Moe, The Mysterious voyage of our Homer, Hurricane Neddy, Lisa's date with density, A Milhouse divided, And many more...I believe season 21 is where things started to feel more drained, they weren't that funny and I can only stumble across 1 or 2 episodes that I might like each season...I'm sorry but I just don't like season 21 and the other seasons that came after it...I just think they're getting desperate to stay irrelevant... I'm more of a fan of seasons 2 through 20 than I am season 21 and onwards.
You see, I grew up watching the Simpsons; I would sit at the dinner table watching the Simpsons as it came on at 6pm every night on channel 10 here in Australia. Such good times! Classic episodes and wonderful memories! Each and every single time I watch these older episodes, I get a strong flow of Nostalgia! I highly recommend watching seasons 1 through 20, 9/10
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
What a Nightmare!!!
The thought of someone having the ability to invade your dreams and turn them into nightmares where he can indeed slaughter you in both dream and reality. Is terrifying! Nancy and her friends are having violent nightmares which all feature one common element, a disfigured serial killer with a glove made of razors on his right hand. When one of the group is murdered in their sleep, Nancy realizes that she must stay awake and try uncover the truth behind this fantastic killer Freddy Krueger. I Consider this film to be one of those films to watch with your friends late at night, 11Pm and onwards seems like the perfect time to watch a good horror movie like this, is it worth the watch and is it truly terrifying? YES, think about it! You close your eyes and open them to the sight of a burnt man who's intent is that of killing you!! The film isn't slow, it isn't boring nor dull, it's truly what made 80's kids & teens terrified of going to bed. 10/10.
Extraterrestrial (2014)
Horror? or Horrible!!!
Started out promising while the characters in the beginning seemed promising until I realized, they're all bland and boring AND are cliché we have the Pothead, The Jock, Pretty girl, Dumb Blonde, Hipster and ALIENS!!! So at some point in the film, they're all partying and having a good time until GUESS WHO COMES TO CRASH THE PARTY? YOU GOT IT RIGHT!!! ALIENS!!!!! There's a lot of cliché moments that had me yawning and nearly shouting "F**king stop!!!" There was a moment and *Spoilers* This blonde chick leaves the car during a serious scene in which a UFO is hovering over their car! she looks up at this thing while others are screaming at her and guess what, she gets abducted and guess what!! They obviously ripped some of that off of (Fire in the sky) (1993) The Aliens also look really, well, MEH. I hate this film, I HATE IT SO F**KING MUCH!!! Destroy it! Someone please destroy this horrible movie, wipe it from existence! 1/10, Don't spend nor waste data on this horrible "movie"
Kurt Cobain About a Son (2006)
A Must see before you see Montage Of Heck!
As a fan of Nirvana and Kurt Cobain, I Highly recommend checking this film out before (Cobain: Montage of heck) The film is basically an audio book with visuals, I highly recommend giving it a watch!!! Also we don't have Courtney being interviewed so there's no lies or whatever. It's Just Kurt and Michael talking to each other... PERFECT :) The Film is something one would consider to be the perfect Documentary on Kurt Cobain. 10/10.
