Turning Red (2022)
Cute movie
I did enjoy watching this, it was funny, embarrassing and nostalgic. The movie was not without its flaws but it was cute and definitely had some meaningful lessons. Some of the other reviews on here are really annoying me though, how many people complain about this movie being trash and too "woke". Seriously why do people thinks its best to pretend that bodily functions aren't apart of life? Young girls shouldn't have to hide their hygiene products in the back of the cabinet or feel ashamed about how the body naturally works. It was a cute coming of age story that deals with real things, if its not your cup of tea move on. No need to bash something that might actually help young people, time to normalize topics that may make some people uncomfortable, the more we talk about the more comfortable people will be with the subject.
I thought the ending part at the concert was a little ridiculous but overall it was a good story about growing up learning to be your own person while still maintaining your important relationships. Its a good lesson to be able to accept yourself and others.
The Adam Project (2022)
Funny and emotional Sci Fi
Fun time travel film that will make you laugh but also deals with love, loss and grief. I thought it was very well put together, I had a few solid laughs and also shed a few tears. Definitely a well cast movie, Ryan Reynolds was funny as always but he hit the emotional notes a little harder than usual which was nice to see and Walker Scobell did great as young Adam. They worked really well together especially their scenes with Mark Ruffalo who was funny and a little heart breaking at times and he was great with Jennifer Garner as expected. I thought we'd get a little more Zoe Saldana but she did well with her limited screen time and her and Reynolds had good chemistry. Overall it was a good watch with some emotional ups and downs, even if you're not a Sci Fi fan it's still an enjoyable movie, definitely recommend!
LOL: Last One Laughing Canada: Clash of the Titans, eh? (2022)
The right person won!
The final show down was fantastic and the top 2 definitely deserved to be there. It was nice to see how happy everyone was to have competed with their comedy heroes and to see the smiles of the finalists when it was over. I hope they do a season 2 although this will be hard to top!
Best Wishes, Warmest Regards: A Schitt's Creek Farewell (2020)
Beautiful and emotional behind the scenes
I have seen this a few times now and cry everytime, shows how committed everyone was to bring the series and characters to life. One review I read said that watching this made them not want to watch the series, that is 100% judging a book by its cover! The series was amazing as was everyone who was involved, definitely recommend but watch the series first so you can understand why it meant so much to everyone.
Schitt$ Creek (2015)
It's a slow build but worth the wait
I started watching the show as soon as it came out because I love Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy but at the time was unfamiliar with Dan Levy and Annie Murphy who play their adult children. At first I was taken aback by the terrible characters they play and Catherine's over the top Moira but as the season progressed I could see the character development slowly start to show. The supporting cast is fantastic and the series deserves every award it got. When doing a rewatch i laughed a lot more than I did the first time, seeing Moira scream about her earings and the family just in general not being able to cope with life away from their mansion, just shows how wonderful the writers and actors really are to make you fall in love with the self centered people the characters were to begin with. I recommended it to a many of my friends, most loved it but one couldn't get past the 4th episode so it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you can power through it is definitely worth the watch.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
Wonderful movie with a fantastic cast
I have seen this movie 4 times now and I think it gets better with each viewing. I am a big Marvel fan and this one definitely didn't disappoint, perfect combination of action, humor and heart. Simu is amazing in this film and I really look forward to seeing him in a project with Tom Holland, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan! Solid job Destin Daniel Cretton, can't wait to see the Disney plus show!

Funny and so awkward at times
Definitely a few parts that make you say wtf but it is actually very funny. Jon Lojoie and Colin Mochrie have made me laugh the most, Colin just being funny and Jon for the faces he makes trying not to laugh!
