They nailed it ! The actors, the atmosphere... You really feels like reaing one of the story from the manga, well-played, fun music, the characters being true to their manga version, both his looks and character... It was just perfect. Looking forward to buying the DVD !

A gorgeous movie that riveted me to my seat from beginning to end. Good acting, good direction, good story, excellent music and use of sounds (a necessity due to its subject) with believable characters, a realistic movie that respect its topics, characters and public, not trying to dumb you. Another good point : it is not an historical film, even one happening in close history, nor is it happening in a far-stretch futur, this story could happen right now. An instant classic.

I absolutely LOVED this film! An excellent an complex scenario based on a nice and original "what-if" idea, well-constructed characters, good voices, a well-constructed universe, it was absolutely perfect! The peculiar use of music -only present when music is actually played in the story-, was great, very interesting, and gave a very unique feel to the story. The drawings and animation change from the big modern Disney blockbusters that we've gotten used to, but this is something that actually goes very well with the BD-like style of the film: you really feel like seeing an high-quality comics that somehow came alive, it's fantastic! A must-go!

This film is the proof that you can make a good SF film without necessarily having a big budget.

For those who makes critics, it is interesting to notice how many of them tend to forget that this was not a big blockbuster but a small film with only a 8-million budget.

Some may find it incomplete, not all responses are given to us, not all mysteries solved, but I think it is part of its charm.

Still, I will agree with many that the end, interesting as it was, could have benefited from.. I don't know, a bit more time passed on it, a bit more finishing, a bit more polishing.
