Radical (2023)
Run to watch this film.
I could not remember when was the last time I saw a film, where it made me laugh, made me cry, made me angry, and made me gasp. "Radical" is a must-see. Without any spoilers, a lot of heart went into this masterpiece, ranging from the talent, to the cinematography, to the direction, the casting, the production design of the environment... it was glorious to experience. There is a reason why this was a winner at Sundance. It deserved it. It's based on a true story. And you follow each individual's journey, how they are affected in their own lives, and how they affect others with their existence. It also reveals the constant problems we have with the education system, or lack of, or limitations of, or what is allowed, and what is not allowed in order to progress. The writing of the screenplay is just brilliant. I don't wish to spoil anything, just watch it. Experience it.
Interview with the Vampire (2022)
EXCELLENT HOMAGE TO ANNE RICE
Deep in my heart, I feel Anne Rice, who had her hand involved with the show's creation and casting before she passed, would have LOVED the outcome of this show. This was utterly excellent. Jacob Anderson brings the beautiful heart of Louis and Sam Reid brings the delicious mischief of Lestat. The chemistry between them is inferno (and as a longtime fan of Anne Rice, it brings my heart utter joy to see what I wish to have seen on screen). I cannot wait to see their journey unfold in this season, and what will happen between them when Bailey Bass (Claudia) comes into the picture. Exquisite and a MUST SEE. I love the diversity of this show. Beautiful, Perfect Casting.
Good Kisser (2019)
Enjoyable Indie Movie
This story shows the journey of a couple who starts exploring sexuality with a third party for a night. It goes deeper than what's on the surface, as the story starts to unveil. Like in reality, when there are multiple partners involved, whether it be platonic, committed, etc... there are feelings of excitement, trepidations, openness, jealousy, and uncertainty. Without spoilers, it will make the mind question about what is truly desired in general, what is denied or accepted , and what we tolerate, or won't tolerate in general. Acting and pace of the story is really good.
Wonder Woman (2017)
I'm a Fan
It's been a while since I've been excited about a superhero film. The last ones I remember were Spiderman (Raimi) and Batman Begins (Nolan). I found myself cheering for Diana throughout the film, especially with the performance of Gal Gadot (major girl crush on her). It literally became my favorite Superhero film. I am beyond elated for Patty Jenkin's vision (she kicked a**) and the screenplay adaptation by Allan Heinberg, phenomenal. I think you will have a great time watching this. And it's a superhero film that I will definitely see again :D
