Andor (2022)
A good show almost ruined
A good show almost ruined with periods of immense boredom and slowness
As the series builds the long drawn out "phantom menace" type monologues become fewer and further between, but after you think they may have disappeared and you're truly starting to see something spectacular they reappear in episode 11....... only to be saved by an epic scene later in the episode
Maybe I am just getting too old for Star Wars? After all it's been a massive part of my life for the last 45 years, and maybe now I'm in my 50's maybe I am finally growing up? All real possibilities but there has to be a connection between these inane prequel stories that lead to....... The inevitable outcome........ because they have already shown us the "ending"
The Batman (2022)
So much potential
The first 10 minutes was epic, the following. 166 minutes meandered into a overworked finish
I love Batman but this gets a must try harder from me.
Too much emo and not enough ego.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Epic
Was meant to see it at the premiere but ended up sick and missed it. Was a long 2 weeks to finally wait and see it, but the delay did not disappoint
Almost perfect in every way, yes predictable but still perfect.
Home Sweet Home Alone (2021)
Who approved this script?
Whoever approved this script and green lit this project should lose their job.
An absolute atrocious premise and other than a few quite humorous nods to the original movies this has no place in modern cinema.
Hamilton (2020)
Like being in the front row
What a fantastic movie adaptation of this amazing Stage show.
This is my daughter's favourite musical, and it is so easy to see why.
In this time when it isn't possible to see the show live, I can't think of a better way to spend Friday night with my family.
Rocketman (2019)
What did I just watch?
I am trying to process what I just watched. I have no idea why we put it on, but we were riveted to the screen for 90 minutes.
It was funny and it was sad, but I'm not sure that Mad Mike intended either of those things when he put himself in front of the camera.
The highlight for us was the bumbling sidekicks.
The Big Bang Theory: The Stockholm Syndrome (2019)
12 years invested wisely
I have spent 12 years watching this amazing show and I will miss it immensely
To watch the growth of the characters all this time culminating the humanisation of Sheldon has been amazing.
Can't believe it's over 😢
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
My favourite so far
I've enjoyed this show over the years, but I am not fanatical about it.
I thought the cinematography was amazing this week, leaving the dark images of Battle of Winterfell behind.
I struggled over the inconsistency of the story telling. This whole season seems to have been overthought and has been underwhelming.
Feels like however they choose to finish it all now, the vast majority will be disappointed, which is a shame for the die hard fans.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
I'm a little old, but.....
I'm a little old for this, but thoroughly enjoyed.
It's a visual extravaganza and good story telling.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Holy smokes!
A fitting way to launch the next phase of the Marvel Universe, so satisfying and the 3 hours disappeared in a blink of an eye.
Will definitely watch again in general release.
