- TriviaTitle is from Macbeth, Act 2 Scene 3, in which the porter says: "Knock, knock! Never at quiet. What are you? But this place is too cold for hell. I'll devil-porter it no further..."
- GoofsThe container they are trapped in is not a real refrigerated container. The walls should be flat, not corrugated like a normal container. The doors should have a rubber seal around the edges. The fans for cooling are multiple and hidden behind panels and ducting. Also, as a general rule, they are painted white.

[Frank, Billy and Keeler are locked inside a refrigerated shipping container]
Frank Hathaway: Whatever happened to "I'm never going back inside again"? I thought you had a job lined up.
Billy 'The Brick' Porter: Warehouse packer.
Frank Hathaway: What's wrong with that?
Billy 'The Brick' Porter: I didn't mind it. Quite restful, actually. Just the hours and the money. End of the month they'd nicked half of it back in payee. I'm like "You're supposed to be paying *me*, not the other way round."
Frank Hathaway: PAYE. Taxes, Billy. It's a tried and tested method of raising money for government spending.
Billy 'The Brick' Porter: The government don't need it. They're loaded with money.
DS Joe Keeler: Oh! I don't know what's worse. The prospect of death. Or the prospect of death with the words of a moron ringing in my ears.
I have sometimes been a little critical of the show, sometimes they get the balance of humour and drama wrong, they have sometimes been silly, this episode however gets the balance spot on. For me this is the best episode of the show so far.
The story is very well plotted out, it's clever, a great mystery, but better still we get some real depth to the characters. We have never known the reason why Frank left the Police, we learn a lot more about him and Marlowe here, not quite everything, but we know more.
James Dreyfus was great, he's showed several times over the years how versatile an actor he is, from Goody to serious roles in Waking the Dead and Double Time.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. 9/10
