Although I enjoy watching Young Sheldon and think that the lead star is amazing, I have to correct the details with in this episode. Sheldon and Missy are conducted into a research study, George Senior refers to the study being conducted on identical twins. I am surprised that a team of writers who write about science, failed to recognise their own mistake. That said, I am also surprised that the young Sheldon, with all his knowledge, didn't question it either. Identical twins and non identical twins are not made the same way. Identical twins that are a boy and a girl, are IMPOSSIBLE. As with the creation of identical twins, this happens because the same egg splits, therefore you can only have one gender type. In the case of non-identical twins, two eggs are released. This is why you can have same sex non-identical twins and opposite sex non-identical twins. Sheldon and Missy are not identical twins, they are the opposite sex. The fact that one is a girl and one is a boy should tell you that they are not identical. Of course you can have non-identical same-sex twins, but you should notice that they are NOT identical, but they may have similarities that are commonly found in related siblings.
