Here is a review of the “Kartam Bhugtam” trailer
Trailer: The trailer for “Kartam Bhugtam” is 1 minute and 46 seconds long, and it deals with ambition, self-doubt, greed, and society’s dealings in good and bad deeds. Plot: The trailer starts with an ambitious Shreyas Talpade trying to make a name for himself, but after constant rejections and a series of coincidences, he reaches an astrologer played by Vijay Raaz. This leads to a wild chase and many weird and spooky destined things. Thoughts: The thought of the trailer could be based on a straightforward premise, but it is a combination of suspense and thrilling music accompanying intriguing scenes. Cast: The film boasts a stellar cast, including Shreyas Talpade, Vijay Raaz, Madhoo, and Aksha Pardasany. Director – Sohum Shah has made 2 super flop film in the past namely Luck and Kaal.
both were dud at box office.
One Word Review – Pathetic trailer.

David Gilmour announced the first dates of his Luck and Strange tour last week, but he told Uncut that it’s going to be a very different tour from his previous ones because of an “unwillingness to revisit the Pink Floyd of the Seventies.” He went on to explain that he was willing to play Floyd songs from the Syd Barrett period of the Sixties, and his own era fronting the group in the late Eighties and early Nineties.

Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour has said that he’s open to the idea of a Pink Floyd hologram show, à la Abba Voyage, but only under a “series of very, very difficult and onerous conditions.”
The comments came in a new interview with Uncut, ahead of Gilmour’s first new album in nearly a decade, Luck and Strange (due on September 6th). Revealing that he and his wife, Polly Samson, had been invited to watch the Abba Voyage show, the guitarist explained that he wasn’t quite blown away with the visuals of the hologram format, but appreciated the music.
“If you were a determined Abba fan, you might enjoy it,” he said (per NME). “I thought the images of them were sort of Ok, but they weren’t ever going to convince me it was real. If you’re down the sort of mosh pit end of the...

Julia Garner is one of the most promising young actors in the industry at present, and her role in Ozark proved it without a shadow of a doubt. While the actress has carved a niche for herself in the thriller genre, her versatility knows no bounds.
Garner has already found fame with the Netflix show. However, her career is set to get a big boost with Marvel Studios nabbing her to play an iconic character in the new Fantastic Four film. Garner is a rare prodigy, but her one fear on the sets of Ozark proved that she is still as human as anyone else.

Joshua Logan’s Paint Your Wagon can be viewed as one of the last gasps of a dwindling Hollywood studio system, as well as a precursor to the New Hollywood. The film, with its expansive anamorphic vistas of the American Northwest, bears some superficial similarities to Michael Cimino’s Heaven’s Gate, which is often historicized as the end of the New Hollywood, given how it bankrupted United Artists. But in contrast to the profound sadness with which Cimino regards America’s history of violence, Logan’s musical romp takes a lighthearted approach to the process of resettlement, and it’s propelled by the contrasting personalities of Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood as bickering and tussling gold prospectors.
Paint Your Wagon straddles multiple genres at once, suggesting something like a western-inflected musical riff on Ernst Lubitsch’s Design for Living. The crux of the story concerns Ben Rumson (Marvin), a ne...

Oscar-winning writer Simon Beaufoy – behind “Slumdog Millionaire,” “127 Hours” or “The Full Monty” – has joined “S.O.L.”
The six-episode thriller, presented at Berlinale’s Co-Pro Series and developed with TV4, is produced by Warp Films (UK) and Rainy Days (Sweden). It was created by Ruth McCance. Diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer, she died in December, aged 53.
“Ruth had written a pilot episode script and outlines for the remaining five episodes,” explained producer Peter Carlton.
“It had always been our intention to bring on another writer to work alongside her. When we knew Ruth was dying, we spoke about the future of the project. We felt we would like to complete the work she had started in her honor and for her kids.”
“With her blessing, we are doing just that. We were able to tell her it had been selected for Berlinale.”
Beaufoy was an “obvious first choice,” Carlton stated.

Politics has always been a big part of Kerala’s social fabric. Every person in the state has an opinion on the political situation. There is a lot of volatility that comes from discussing the affairs of the state, and many filmmakers have made movies on the subject. Some were satires, while many were proper dramas. Sandesham, Vellimoonga, Jana Gana Mana, Lucifer, Nayattu, Malik, and Unda are some excellent examples of political dramas that would engage the audience in discussion. Perilloor Premier League, directed by Praveen Chandran, is a brand-new Malayalam-language satirical political drama on Disney+. These seven episodic, long shows were released on January 5, 2024.

Skydance Animation, which ex-Pixar head John Lasseter currently heads, unceremoniously dropped its seemingly homely, animated feature deal at Apple TV for a partnership with Netflix back in November 2023.
Netflix’s Original animated feature output has long been a discussion point of the industry. It’s an area that Ted Sarandos has addressed numerous times, most recently citing the re-watch value this type of content delivers for subscribers, and his view that Netflix are “underpenetrated” in the genre. This was as the streamer came off arguably its biggest flex of the year, swiping Skydance Animation from its output deal at Apple TV+. Despite restructuring and layoffs that recently impacted the internal Netflix Animation division, animated family movies seem to be a key part of the future strategy.

"Suits" continues to have a monumental run over on Netflix, having just eclipsed "Ozark" for the record of most consecutive weeks at number one at the top of the Nielsen ratings. During the show's initial nine-season run on USA Network, the legal drama's popularity attracted a number of actors who helped share the spotlight with the core cast to help bolster ratings and fill in new storylines. Throughout the series, appearances from legendary athletes like Charles Barkley and Michael Phelps ended up happening after both of them made it clear that they were huge fans of the show on social media. Adding fresh faces to interact with the cast isn't always a slam dunk, however, and a quick cameo from the wrong actor or celebrity could end up throwing off the natural chemistry and subtle alchemy between the main stars of the show.

David Ellison’s fledgling Skydance Animation — run by head of animation John Lasseter and president Holly Edwards — has moved its movie slate from Apple Studios to Netflix. The multi-year streaming deal commences with next year’s musical fantasy “Spellbound,” directed by Vicky Jenson (“Shrek” and “Shark Tale”), featuring the voice talent of Rachel Zegler, Nicole Kidman, and Javier Bardem, and boasting a score from Alan Menkin and original songs with lyricist Glen Slater. It’s about a princess who tries to reverse a spell that transformed her parents into monsters.
Set for release in 2025 is “Pookoo,” a buddy comedy about two enemies — a woodland creature and a majestic bird — that magically trade places. It’s helmed by former Disney director Nathan Greno (“Tangled”), with original music composed by Siddhartha Khosla.
Also in the works are two prestigious features that are a result of Lasseter’s strong relationships with directors Brad Bird...

David Ellison’s Skydance Animation has found a new home at Netflix, ending a lucrative distribution pact with Apple Studios.
Skydance Animation, run by John Lasseter with president Holly Edwards, will now exclusively release its animated movies directly to Netflix in an arrangement that will span multiple years, with the studio’s existing slate also moving exclusively to the streamer.
The first up will be “Spellbound,” which was previously set up at Apple. The film, starring Rachel Zegler and Tituss Burgess, is now set for release by Netflix in 2024, followed by “Pookoo” in 2025. Future films include “Ray Gunn,” directed by Brad Bird and an untitled Jack and the Beanstalk project directed by Rich Moore. Theatrical releases do not seem to be a part of the new Netflix-Skydance Animation agreement.

In a shocking move, Skydance Animation has inked a multiyear agreement with Netflix to develop and produce animation features that will be released directly on Netflix. According to the release, the deal also brings Skydance’s full existing animated feature slate exclusively to Netflix.
The move comes only two years after a wide-ranging partnership between Skydance Animation and Apple TV+ was announced, following Apple’s acquisition of Skydance Animation’s “Luck.” That deal was meant to include both television and features. (The Netflix release doesn’t mention television series.)
“Spellbound,” a high-concept musical fantasy from director Vicky Jenson, will be the first film released under the pact, in 2024. The movie features a score by composer Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater and an all-star voice cast led by Rachel Zegler, Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, John Lithgow, Jenifer Lewis, Nathan Lane and Tituss Burgess. Michael Gambon, the Irish-English actor best known for his role as Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore in six of the “Harry Potter” movies, has died, Variety has confirmed. He was 82.
“We are devastated to announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon,” his family said in a statement. “Beloved husband and father, Michael died peacefully in hospital with his wife Anne and son Fergus at his bedside, following a bout of pneumonia.”
While it is easier for a character actor, often working in supporting roles, to rack up a large number of credits than it is for lead actors, Gambon was enormously prolific, with over 150 TV or film credits in an era when half that number would be impressive and unusual — and this for a man whose body of stage work was also prodigious.
He played two real kings of England: King Edward VII in “The Lost Prince” (2003) and his son, King George V,...

Actress Shruti Haasan, apart from being a star in both Bollywood as well as the South industry, is also a big fan of rock music, and recently shared a clip of herself rocking out to heavy metal while shedding weight, calling it a great experience and raising the devil horns.
Taking to her Instagram stories, she actress was sporting a black sportswear and had no make-up on. With some metalcore playing in the background, the actress said in the clip: “Loosing hormonal weight, and bloating and all kinds of other s*** can be really challenging.”

Skydance Media CEO David Ellison called the creative process a “community” where “both sides of this disagreement actually need one another to move forward. So, my hope is that we can find a path to compromise so that everybody can get back to work and we can position ourselves for success going forward.”
“We are not a member of the AMPTP, and some of my closest friends are the writers and actors that we work with to create content. And, we literally work with every member on the AMPTP side,” he said during a Q&a at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia media conference in San Francisco when asked about the strike – day 127 for the WGA and day 54 for SAG-AFTRA.
The annual investor event is mostly limited to public companies. At privately-held Skydance, “We want to always make sure we position ourselves to be able to be a publicly-traded company,” Ellison said.

Exclusive: Apple TV+ Has Grown Its Library by 35% in the Past Year as Streamer Hits Viewership Highs
When it comes to keeping subscribers happy and engaged, one of the tried and true methods that streaming services have employed since the dawn of this era of media is to offer libraries so chock full of steady streams of content, that it would be impossible for any one viewer to ever watch it all. However, one subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service has bucked that trend, and in doing so has remained relatively small in comparison to its competitors, but is becoming increasingly invaluable to contentious customers. By keeping its streaming offerings limited — and not to mention star-studded — Apple TV+ has cultivated a reputation for consistently delivering some of the best series and films on streaming without the unnecessary swings and misses that other streamers force viewers to wade through.

But this doesn’t feel like it’s leading to a back-by-popular-demand kind of situation.

Ctam and Common Sense Media have partnered on StreamSafely Summer Camp,, an online destination at StreamSafely.com where parents and kids can find safe, family-friendly programming without the risks that come with pirated content. The site includes a collection of 46 movies curated by the nonprofit Common Sense Media available through June, July and August, along with a checklist for parents on safe streaming.
A Ctam study from October 2022 found that 38% of households with kids report accessing pirated content a few times a year, well above the mean for the US adult population overall (26%). Piracy sites appear free, but they make money by stealing personal information, often by installing destructive malware or ransomware on users’ home computers. There is a lot riding on Vicky Jenson’s upcoming musical animation Spellbound about a princess on a mission to reverse a spell that has transformed her beloved king and queen parents into rampaging monsters.
The film is the second animated feature for Skydance Animation after Luck, which followed its short Blush, and its most ambitious production to date as it attempts to grow into a company rivaling its head of animation John Lasseter’s former homes of Pixar and Disney.
The work also marks Jenson’s first major animation feature in two decades, after Shark Tale (2004) and Oscar-winning Shrek (2001).

Exclusive: Apple TV+ is expanding its kids and families slate with Be@rbrick, a 13-episode animated kids series based on Medicom Toy’s popular collectible bear-shaped figures, from DreamWorks Animation and Dentsu Inc.
Told through CG animation, Be@rbrick is a music-driven comedy about young singer-songwriter Jasmine and her bandmates as they pursue their dreams and inspire others to do the same. But it won’t be easy to do when living in a world where everyone’s role is chosen for them and where the painted-on look you receive when you graduate from high school determines who you’ll be for the rest of your life. Jasmine realizes that in order for her world to change, she and her friends may have to make it happen themselves.
The series will be animated and produced by DreamWorks Animation and Dentsu Inc., and showrun and executive produced by Meghan McCarthy. Alex Almaguer (TrollsTopia) will serve as supervising producer and Taylor Orci (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts) will serve as story editor. Athena Hofmann (Curious George) will serve as line producer on the series.
“Be@rbrick marks the latest collaboration for Apple TV+ and DreamWorks Animation, joining GLAAD Media Award nominated Pinecone & Pony, based on Kate Beaton’s book The Princess and the Pony; and Doug Unplugs, based on Dan Yaccarino’s Doug Unplugged book series.
