- TriviaThe title refers to the "Peters Principle" which states that, in business, people are promoted past their level of competence. Not unlike how Peter Griffin keeps getting jobs he is in no way qualified for, like that of school principal.
- GoofsJoe tells Bonnie to say "It's all been a pack of lies" before playing the drum riff of the Phil Collins hit "In the Air Tonight". She should have said, "It's no stranger to you and me".

My most favorite Family Guy Season 15 episode.
I thought this episode was really funny all around from Peter slipping on the bats to Brian and Stewie's bed and breakfast place getting overtaken by hookers. It was also a pleasant surprise for Peter to stand up for Meg and I haven't seen a good Peter-Meg episode like this since Meg Stinks from 3 years ago. I actually thought this was better than that because it doesn't suddenly have Peter commit a bank robbery in the middle of it. Both this episode and Saturated Fat Guy had good Meg plot lines that are rare to find these days. But the part of The Peter Principal that made me laugh the most was Peter's 1980s Hockey Cop TV series and the cutaway of Brian trying to deliver pizza in New Orleans. It's sure to become a meme now. I would like to see another episode that's actually about Peter's Hockey Cop show.
