TV networks come and go. While the state of cable TV now isn’t particularly stable amid the constant streaming wars, TV network deaths have always been monumental funerals. Corporate mergers, changes in demographics, and budget cuts all contributed to channel deaths during the early 21st century that crushed my spirits – long before Netflix even cast the first streaming stone.
Not a day goes by when I don’t reflect upon my childhood spent watching programming on long-gone networks. These networks gave unrepresented artists platforms, brought audiences of underserved demographics together, and ultimately established specific TV identities. These are a few channels that deserve a second or third shot at life.
Spike TV
Before it became the “Yellowstone and Friends” channel, also known as Paramount Network, Spike TV was machismo-television personified. Who doesn’t remember the days of watching Rambo, Star Wars marathons, and 1000 Ways to Die in rotation?...

Chrissy Teigen has admitted that her mind wanders “all the time” when she is in bed with her husband, the Grammy-winning artiste, John Legend. The 38-year-old model has been wed to ‘All of Me’ singer John (45) since 2013, and when asked if her mind ever goes to other places when she is getting intimate with him, admitted she often finds herself worrying whether the door is locked amongst many other things, reports Aceshow biz.
She said when speaking on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, “All the time. It goes anywhere…is the door locked? Is my spray tan coming off? So much.”
Meanwhile, the former ‘Lip Sync Battle’ host has Luna, Miles, Esti, as well as eight-month-old Wren, both of whom they welcomed via surrogate, with John and explained that the hardest part of their marriage is trying to make sure that their kids all “get along” with each other, although she...

Los Angeles, Jan 27 (Ians) Chrissy Teigen has claimed John Legend was “jealous” of her friendship with Carl Radke. The ‘Chrissy + Dave Dine Out’ presenter ran into the ‘Summer House’ star while she and the ‘Ordinary People’ singer were at the Sundance Film Festival and the Bravo superfan invited the TV personality onto their flight back to New York.
However, she failed to tell her husband. Speaking on SiriusXM’s ‘Andy Cohen Live’, she said: “We saw Carl at Sundance and I’m at the point now with Bravo stars where I think we’re friends,” reports Female First UK.
She further mentioned: “He didn’t. It was like a Delta first-class direct, but I was like, ‘You should come with us,’ and yeah.”
As per Female First UK, she then messaged him on Instagram to confirm someone would make his flight arrangements – but John wasn’t too happy when Carl got onboard.

Tom Holland swears he’s best known for his iconic “Lip Sync Battle” performance to Rihanna’s “Umbrella” across his career accolades.
The “Spider-Man: No Way Home” actor told The Hollywood Reporter that his May 7, 2017 lip sync rendition to the beloved track is what he may be most recognized for. However, Holland would never sign on to do a follow-up battle against longtime girlfriend and MCU co-star Zendaya.
“I’ve really worked hard in my career and I’ve really been calculated in deciding what it is I do and when I do it. And for all the movies that I’m incredibly proud of, the ‘Lip Sync Battle’ is what I get the most compliments for,” Holland said. “I’m proud of it. I like that it left a lasting impact. It was an amazing time.”
He reflected on the year itself, “My life was changing before my eyes.

Zendaya keeps Tom Holland’s name close.
On Monday, nail artist Marina Dobyk shared a video of the “Euphoria” star’s latest manicure, but fans were more interested in the gold ring Zendaya was wearing.

Showing a close-up of the actress’ glossy bubblegum pink nails, people noticed an engraving on the ring that appeared to be the initials “Th”, for her “Spider-Man” co-star and boyfriend.

Some fans did argue in the comments that the initials looked more like “Zh”, which would be a combination of her first name and Holland’s last.
Zendaya and Holland first started dating after meeting on the 2016 film “Spider-Man: Homecoming”.
They kept their relationship mostly out of the public eye, but in 2021 went Instagram official, and began walking red carpets together.

Motion Content Group, an industrious producer and co-financier of Love Island, Wynonna Earp and some 1,800 other series globally, is rebranding as GroupM Motion Entertainment in North America.
The move comes amid a broader pivot toward premium programming.
Motion Content, already well-established in more than two dozen territories, made a major push into the U.S. several years ago, with CEO Richard Foster relocating from London to LA. Those efforts took shape just before Covid upended the production sector.
GroupM Motion Entertainment will be co-led by Foster, Global CEO GroupM Motion Entertainment, and Kirk McDonald, CEO GroupM North America.
Beginning in 2009 as GroupM Entertainment, the unit initially worked with broadcasters such as Viacom’s Channel 5, then owned by controversial British media baron Richard Desmond, to pay for a range of factual and entertainment titles. Multi-faceted deals were structured by covered advertising and international ancillary arrangements. It then moved into drama,...

Rihanna’s show-stopping Super Bowl performance is getting rave reviews.
The superstar returned to the stage for the first time in years at Sunday’s event, entertaining 28.5 million viewers, with an action-packed performance that included everything from a medley of greatest hits to clever nods to her beauty company.
Previous Super Bowl headliners have often brought out surprise guests, including Bruno Mars who brought the Red Hot Chili Peppers onstage in 2014, but Rihanna’s show didn’t include any guests.

You know that moment when you see a friend or family member for the first time in a few years and you struggle to recognise them because it’s been such a long time, and you can’t tell if they have had significant work done or changed hairstyle etc. That’s how I felt watching the first episode of this season of Ru Paul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race! There are a few similarities between season one and season two which helped me regain my excitement for the show but there are many, many differences. In fact, I think that season one and season two could have functioned as two completely separate spin-offs – the former being a celebrity drag race and the latter being a secret celebrity drag race, so that there can be even more phases into the Ru-universe (the Ru Paul universe.) The new format of Ru Paul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race,...

Talk about a Renaissance! Laverne Cox received the ultimate compliment on Monday night when she attended the U.S. Open to cheer Serena Williams on.
The 50-year-old “Inventing Anna” star was seated in the stands at the Usta Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City, wearing a face mask. That paired with a black sheer top, brown leather pants, and hoop earrings made several people mistake Laverne for Beyoncé online and in broadcasts from the match.
Coincidentally, Laverne shared a video of herself getting ready set to Beyoncé’s song “Pure/Honey,” ahead of the match. Once the comparisons were made, the Emmy-nominated actress gushed about the moment online.

There's no denying Zendaya and Tom Holland make a cute pair on and off screen. The duo have been fueling dating rumors ever since they first costarred in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," but now their onscreen romance has developed into a real one.
In July, the costars were spotted sharing a kiss in LA, and they looked pretty cuddly while attending a friend's wedding together the following month. The two addressed the relationship rumors for the first time in an interview with GQ in November, stating "we sort of felt robbed of our privacy" with the public prying into their romance.
Even though it took Zendaya and Holland a while to confirm their romantic relationship, the two have shared some really cute moments together over the years - including battling it out on stage during "Lip Sync Battle" and getting closer during their press tour for "Spider-Man: No Way Home." Chris O’Donnell was on set at “NCIS: Los Angeles,” checking his emails, when co-star LL Cool J started looking over his shoulder. O’Donnell happened to be reading about a reality TV idea that his buddy Reinout Oerlemans had just pitched.
The concept is what would become “Come Dance With Me,” a new family-oriented dance competition that premieres April 15 on CBS. But at that moment, O’Donnell wasn’t quite sure he was up for working on a competition show.
“[LL] says, ‘What are you looking at?’” O’Donnell recalled. “I told him it was my friend’s idea for a new show. He goes, ‘I think that thing’s hot! You should do it. This is up your alley.’ And then he was like, ‘I’ll do it if you do it!’”
O’Donnell replied to Oerlemans: “So good news, not only will I do it, but my buddy Todd will do it too!

Paramount Network will remain Paramount Network — at least for now — as the cabler nixes plans to rebrand as the Paramount Movie Network.
According to insiders, the rebrand plans have been put on ice partly due to Covid-19, which has had an immense impact on production, as well as the success of “Yellowstone,” which has grown into a tremendous hit for Paramount Network and is now the No. 1 entertainment program on cable.
The initial plan, first announced in September 2020, was for the ViacomCBS subsidiary to focus on television movies and cancel its unscripted programming. Exclusive: Paramount Network is safe, for now.
ViacomCBS has reversed plans to rebrand the cable network, home to Kevin Costner-fronted hit series Yellowstone, as Paramount Movie Network.
Deadline understands that the company has put the plans, which first emerged in September 2020, on hold, in part due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has had a major impact on production.
The original strategy was to turn Paramount Network into the Paramount Movie Network, which would air 52 original movies a year with one miniseries or scripted series airing per quarter.
Development of these movie projects was originally being overseen by Meghan Hooper White, who joined the company from A+E Networks as EVP and Head of Original Movies and Limited Series in May 2020 but left little over a year later.

Jay’s Garage, which showcases Leno’s love of classic cars and other vehicles, has been airing on CNBC since 2015 and will start another season this month. He continues to do stand-up comedy, booking (at least before Covid-19) a couple hundred dates a year.
Even with all of that, today marks a particularly important chapter, with Leno returning to the daily TV host chair, on Fox’s syndicated reboot of You Bet Your Life. Even with all of that, today marks a particularly important chapter, with Leno returning to the daily TV host chair, on Fox’s syndicated reboot of You Bet Your Life. Stepping into the role made famous by Groucho Marx in the show’s previous incarnation, Leno presides over the game, mostly in the crowd-work mode he popularized in Tonight Show segments like “Jaywalking.”

“America’s Got Talent” always has some incredible performances on-screen, but sometimes, greatness happens during commercial breaks, too. That was the case this week, when host Terry Crews gave the audience a performance of “A Thousand Miles” in between act setups.
Luckily, someone was on hand with their phone, and captured the moment. Crews posted the video on TikTok, with the caption “Always ready for this song! The perfect @agt audience hype song!”

Chrissy Teigen has a few pet peeves about the way she feels she's currently being treated on social media. The 35-year-old Lip Sync Battle co-host took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Aug. 10 to share two complaints about how users have recently been reacting to her presence. In the post, she wore a colorful robe and used a puppy filter. "Two things that I think are funny right now," she said. "One: People in my comments that are mad that there's not enough angry comments in my comments. They think that I like delete them. But like, what?" She continued, "That's like next-level hater, when you're mad that there's not enough hate. It's...

Updated at 5:40 p.m.: Chrissy Teigen had strong words for designer and former Project Runway contestant Michael Costello. Costello accused Teigen earlier this week of bullying him and trying to destroy his career. Teigen wrote on Instagram Friday that she was “surprised and disappointed” by Costello’s allegations and called the alleged texts between them that he posted online “fakes.”
She did admit to commenting publicly about Costello in 2014 when he was accused of making a racist remark. When Costello denied ever making the statement, Teigen says she deleted her post.
Teigen asked fans not to bully Costello for his posts, but warned the designer that the allegations needed to stop “Or this Will go further. Not here, but an actual court of law.”
Teigen had, last month, apologized for old tweets and DMs in which she bullied former reality star Courtney Stodden.
