Howdy, folks - Jason from Mnpp here with this week's edition of "Beauty vs Beast" is which we'll be celebrating the 61st birthday of the great Debra Winger. I assume most of you, being right and proper actressexuals, have seen the terrific documentary bearing her name Searching For Debra Winger, but if not, get on that. I haven't seen it since it came out in 2002 and part of me wonders if it's maybe, hopefully, begun to feel a bit dated? That film feeling dated can only be a good thing because it means roles for actresses are getting better. If nothing else, Winger herself has been working somewhat steadily over the past few years with recent roles on In Treatment and the Netflix series The Ranch.
All that said, we're really here today for Classic Winger...
Previously Two weeks back we celebrated the sexy time that is A Bigger Splash...

Mila Kunis has admitted that she doesn't think she will be able to act for the rest of her life.
Speaking to James Franco in a Playboy interview, the Oz the Great and Powerful star admitted that she thinks it gets "weird" for actresses as they get older.
"There's a documentary you should see called Searching for Debra Winger, about how this industry affects women in their 30s," she said. "Realistically speaking, it's hard.
"I think you have to choose. Do you want to have a life, or do you want to have a career? Sometimes you can find a happy medium, but in this industry it's rare... You have to choose: privacy or career."
She continued: "It's not necessarily particular to women, but in this documentary it is. I also think in this industry, age is particular to women versus men. Why? Because that's just how it is."

Geraldine Page in "Interiors"Years ago I took a weekend writing retreat to visit my great friend Nick (who you know and love as the man behind Nick's Flick Picks) and while discussing Julianne Moore in Safe and that weirdly specific mini Jodie Foster genre of Women Trapped in Small Spaces (planes, panic rooms... closets) we agreed that our mutual favorite kind of movie was not Dramas, Comedies, Musicals, or Horror but the rarely discussed Women Who Lie To Themselves™ subgenre -- we had to name it but it is so a genre!

A recent controversy has hit the mainstream media over a female actor’s lawsuit against the entertainment industry website imdb.com. For those who aren’t familiar with the site, IMDb (Internet Movie Data Base) is an electronic resume and resource for anyone who has ever worked on a movie/tv show/dog food commercial, ever. It’s not always accurate, but it’s the go-to site for people to look up credits, find the latest movie trailers, and find out who’s doing what and where, without the gossipy, irritating tone adopted by other entertainment sites. It’s mainly for industry insiders.
The actor in question’s age was listed and was considered by the actor to be a violation of her privacy – mainly because she didn’t want to be seen as “over the hill”. She has sued the IMDb for $1 million in loses. For the full story,...

Drama time! And this time we’re here to share the latest news about the upcoming Rosanna Arquette’s (The Pulp Fiction star) project that will be titled Hemlock Drive.
Apparently, some interesting names are being rumored for the roles in the whole thing, and they are Susan Sarandon, Rosanna’s brother David Arquette and Adam Brody. Not bad at all for a directorial debut.
At this moment not much is known about the movie, but we learned that the script comes from Jennifer Carta and Mandy Steckelberg, and that it will center on an eccentric mother in Connecticut who learns she is dying and brings her three adult children back home for a weekend.
As you already guess, Sarandon is in talks to play the mother, Brody is negotiations for the part of Sarandon’s son, while David Arquette is eyeing the role of a man who owns a nearby bar,...

TV's "Wonder Girl," a k a Debra Winger, is returning to the small screen via a regular role on the new season of HBO's "In Treatment."
The network Tuesday confirmed what Deadline's Mike Fleming broke last month, namely that Winger will play one of Gabriel Byrne's patients on the show. It continues a mini-comeback of sorts for Winger, who was a big deal in the early to mid-1980s ("Urban Cowboy," "Officer and a Gentleman"), but then sort of took a break from the whole showbiz-stardom-y thing (see 2002's doc, "Searching for Debra Winger"...
