Howard Stern states being new to having an agent at the time he didn't feel it necessary to talk to him about this project. Stern agreed to do the film without consulting his agent and regrets making the decision to be in the film.
Not only does Howard Stern have a role, but his (at that time) radio show writer, Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling, provides the voice of the Fat Freddy Doll in a commercial, ending with his signature chortle.
Dave Hawthorne (as Ryder) does an imitation of Jack Nicholson... Dave would play in one scene opposite Jack Nicholson a decade later in As Good As It Gets as a dopey bartender that Jack's character refers to as: "no offense, but a moron pushing the last legal drug."
