Matt McCarthy, founder of MJM Aerial Photography, is a UK CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) BNUC-S Qualified pilot licensed for unmanned aerial vehicles.
He is also CAA licensed for aerial photography.
Has obtained a Coastal Skippers License from the American Sailing Association (with over 5000 blue water miles), an Open Water 1 Diving Qualification (NAUI) - with dives completed throughout the East coast of South Africa.
Matt cut his teeth playing rugby at Hilton College and Rhodes University in South Africa before settling into a ten year career in Cape Town's film industry, working his way up from runner to 2nd Assistant Camera on a variety of international commercials, features, documentaries, music videos and reality TV program's and extreme photographic assignments.
Now a permanent resident of the UK, based in London, Matt founded MJM Aerial Photography to exploit his invaluable professional knowledge of both production and photography to deliver arguably the most creative and precise results in this unique new field.
