Grace was born in Westlake Village, California, to Teryl and Kevin "Mad
Dog" McClung - a well known custom knife maker, gunsmith, weapons/gear
researcher, and trainer; firearms and close quarters combat with edged
weapons. Her parents moved to a small town in the Tehachapi Mountains
when Grace was still an infant where they began a business, MD Labs aka
Mad Dog Knives. About four years later her family, to include her
brother, August, and two sisters, Heather and Morgan, moved to the
Prescott area of Arizona. Two years later, Grace's littlest sister Amy
was born. Grace continued to live in the Prescott area with her family
until she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19 to pursue an acting
career.
As a young girl growing up in Arizona, she loved in-line skating and was the only girl on an in-line hockey team. She later took up in-line speed skating and competed on a team for two years. Grace still loves to skate whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Grace was home-schooled her whole life, as were her siblings. Performing arts, art, and dance were her favorite subjects. Until she was 12 years old, her mother owned and operated a dance studio where Grace studied tap and jazz. As a teenager, she became an accomplished belly dancer studying under a performer associated with a local professional tribal belly dancing troupe.
Grace is a naturally gifted artist, and loves drawing, painting, and sculpting. She learned to weld at her father's shop and soon began sculpting in scrap metal. Her second metal sculpture, Dragon in Repose, was auctioned off for more than $200.00. She continues to dabble in art in her spare time.
Grace decided that she wanted to be an actor at the age of 15 and attended the John Roberts School of Acting and Modeling in Scottsdale AZ for three years. At JRP, Grace studied acting, modeling, and hip-hop dance, which soon became a favorite dance style of hers.
When Grace moved to Los Angeles, she began training in kick-boxing with 5X World Champion, Kathy Long. Grace continues to train in various forms of martial arts, including Kempo Karate.
Grace's first paid acting job was for a commercial in which she co-starred. She has played lead roles in three short films and has worked quite a bit as background talent in several recent projects including movies, television shows, commercials, and music videos.
