You've met the mom that isn't like a regular mom, she's a cool mom. You've met the self-proclaimed bad moms. Now it's time to meet the fun moms of Fun Mom Dinner. To celebrate the unveiling of the movie's poster, debuting on Et, screenwriter Julie Rudd (yes, her husband is Paul Rudd) phoned Et to introduce us to her mom crew, played by Katie Aselton, Molly Shannon, Toni Collette and Bridget Everett.

"I really wanted it to be kind of a love letter to moms," Rudd told Et. "Because I, as a mom, just found myself with this amazing group of mom friends that I met and I was surprised by how important they became in my life and how understood they made me feel."

Instead, “Ghosted” stars Craig Robinson and Adam Scott as your Mulder and Scully. Only this time, Robinson plays the cynical skeptic and former missing persons detective Leroy Wright, who thinks extraterrestrials are a bunch of hooey and has an even lower opinion those that believe in aliens. Reportedly inspired by The X-Files (which is returning for a new season), the paranormal comedy series Ghosted was previously given a pilot episode order at Fox, and the network must have liked what they saw in that initial episode, because Ghosted has been ordered to series for the 2017–18 season.
Multiple outlets, including THR, are reporting the news of Ghosted moving forward at Fox. Starring Craig Robinson, Adam Scott, Ally Walker, and Adeel Akhtar, the single-camera comedy was written by Tom Gormican, who will executive produce the project with Kevin Etten (who also serves as showrunner), Jonathan Krisel, Robinson, Scott, Naomi Scott, Oly Obst, and Mark Schulman.
A premiere date and number of episodes for the first season are not yet known, but we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated as more details are revealed. In the meantime, we have the official synopsis, image (via TVGuide.com), and title art below (via...

Sound the Httm (Hot Tub Time Machine) reunion klaxon, folks, for Craig Robinson and Adam Scott are set to reteam for Fox’s new, single-camera comedy series Ghosted.
Pitched as The X-Files with added giggles, Ghosted is the brainchild of Tom Gormican (That Awkward Moment), who has signed on to write and executive produce with Robinson, Scott and his wife and producing partner Naomi Scott. Craig Robinson is perhaps best known for playing Darryl Philbin in The Office, while Parks and Recreation is Adam Scott’s major TV credit.
So far, Fox has only handed out a pilot order to Gormican’s paranormal comedy, but early signs indicate that the network could be on to a winner. Robinson, the stubborn skeptic, and Scott, the true believer, stumbling upon an extra-terrestrial threat in downtown Los Angeles that could threaten the existence of all humanity – what’s not to like? According to Variety, the show “follows a cynical skeptic (Robinson) and a genius ‘true believer’ in the paranormal (Scott) who are recruited by The Bureau Underground to look into the rampant ‘unexplained’ activity in Los Angeles, all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.”
In addition to starring in the single-camera show, Scott and Robinson will executive produce the project with Naomi Scott, Oly Obst, Mark Schulman and Tom Gormican, the lattermost of whom wrote the pilot episode. Also executive producing and set to be the showrunner is Kevin Etten (Workaholics).

With over a hundred credits to his name, Adam Scott has become one of the most prolific comedic actors of the last decade, perfecting the duality of his nice guy/jerk persona to create some of the most memorable scene stealers in recent comedies. After early career credits that ran the gamut from Torque to Party of Five, Scott soon became a fixture of the Judd Apatow universe earning sizable parts in films like Step Brothers and alt-comedy television landmarks like Party Down, Burning Love, and beloved network comedies like NBC’s Parks & Recreation.
These days, he’s still as impossibly busy, starring in films like the last year’s dark Yuletide comedy Krampus, creating oddities like The Adult Swim Golf Classic, and producing notable indies like The Overnight and Other People through the production company Gettin’ Rad that he created with his wife Naomi Scott. SNL writer, Chris Kelly's new film, Other People, gets its first hearty laugh before it even begins. This is on account of the film's production company title card, which proudly presents a crudely animated tiger with cool shades tipped down its nose, as if to say, 'sup'. This is the hysterical logo for Adam and Naomi Scott's Gettin' Rad Productions. The company made its debut last year at Sundance with Patrick Brice's insane sex romp, The Overnight, which Adam Scott appears in as an unendowed La newbie. This year Gettin' Rad proves two for two with Other People, starring Jesse Plemons as a younger version of Kelly dealing with the impending death of his mother, triumphantly played by Molly Shannon. In the trailer for The Overnight, Taylor Schilling’s character tells her husband, played by Adam Scott, that they should maybe leave before anything crazy happens. Oops! Vulture caught up with Adam and Naomi Scott at the New York premiere of The Overnight on Thursday to ask them if they had any tips on exiting a party early:Naomi Scott: We have it down to a look now, I think. Adam Scott: I never want to stay past, like, minute three. Pretty much, right? Ns: We give a hostess gift or a host gift. We cruise around once or twice. 2014 saw Patrick Brice officially plant his feet with Craigslist’s ad from hell horror pic Creep (originally titled Peachfuzz) being picked up (by RADiUS) prior to its SXSW premiere and a month after this, he began shooting The Overnight. A 360° switch in genres, set in Los Angeles, this is being proposed as a night to remember between couples, with a rom com quartet of folk in Adam Scott, Taylor Schilling, Jason Schwartzman and Judith Godreche (who we fondly remember from breakout roles in Patrice Leconte’s Ridicule and Cédric Klapisch’s L’Auberge Espagnole). Oddly enough and comparatively, the year ahead might be an even taller order to fill for Brice, with volumes II and III in the Creep series possibly going into production, but for the time being, and according to this article (above photo cred of Schwartzman and Brice in musical harmony) this will aim at both Sundance...

There have been few ideas as bizarrely noble as Adam and Naomi Scott’s The Greatest Event in Television History project, and we were excited to hyperanalyze the meticulously crafted series of specials with the married producers at our inaugural Vulture Festival. The premise behind Greatest Event is simple: frame-for-frame reenactments of the opening-credits sequences from semi-obscure 1970s and ’80s programs, such as Simon and Simon and Too Close for Comfort. To make the four installments that have aired on Adult Swim to date, the Scotts recruited some impressive names, including Jon Hamm, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Tom Hanks, and Billy Joel. In their deep-dive interview with Vulture's Denise Martin at the Festival, they reveal that email exchanges with Jon Hamm sparked the idea, recount a memorable visit to Billy Joel’s house on Long Island, and divulge details about the Beverly Hills, 90210 re-creation that never was.

It was the greatest reveal at the Greatest Panel in Television History: Adam Scott and pals nearly re-created the amazing opening credits sequence of Beverly Hills 90210 as the third installment of the Adult Swim series The Greatest Event in Television History. Joined on stage by his wife and producing partner Naomi Scott, the Parks and Recreation star told Vulture’s Denise Martin that the project had gotten far enough along that casting had even begun. Rob Lowe had agreed to play the Jason Priestley character Brandon Walsh, and we would have also gotten to see Elizabeth Banks as Jennie Garth’s Kelly Taylor, Jon Hamm as Luke Perry’s Dylan McKay, Chris Pratt as Ian Ziering’s Steve Sanders, and Brian Austin Green reprising his role as Brian Austin Green’s David Silver. Sadly, coordinating the schedules of so many cast members turned out to be a logistical nightmare, according to Adam Scott.
