Hoyos joins Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror in the film directed by Ernesto Díaz Espinoza’s.
It was announced today that Daro Distribution has also acquired world rights to the pic with the exclusion of North America, Latin America, Asia, Airlines, and the Middle East which Film Mode is representing on behalf of co-producer Agora Films. The film is being prepped for release later this year. Daro’s President Pierre-Andre Rochat has joined as executive producer.
Film Mode Entertainment and Wonder Street are co-producing with a script written by Mat Sansom. Producers are Craig Baumgarten, Clay Epstein, Adkins, and Marco Zaror. The film recently wrapped principal photography and is currently in post-production.
The film follows Kris Chaney (Adkins) who, after being released from prison, embarks on a perilous mission to fulfill an old promise but finds himself in danger when he kidnaps Elisa, the daughter of a powerful gangster. Her father, Vincent, puts out a call to the entire criminal underworld to bring her back alive. El Corvo (Zaror), a psychopathic killer, joins the hunt not for the money but for his own vendetta against Vincent’s family. Kris must evade both Elisa’s powerful father and a ruthless killer bent on revenge to live long enough to tell Elisa the full story that has been hidden from her.
“I am excited to share this movie with the fans. Diablo turned out great. Some of the best fights and action we have ever done” Adkins said.
Pierre-André Rochat, CEO of Daro Distribution added: “We are thrilled to partner with Film Mode on this exciting action project. Scott Adkins has a proven track record in our key sales territories, and we are certain that this movie will be a hit with our clients.”...

A tale of twin brothers who have dedicated their lives for learning a kind of holy grail of martial arts originating in the ancient Inca civilization. The Fist of the Condor is a love letter to the practice of martial arts. Fresh off of John Wick: Chapter 4, Marko Zaror stars in a double role, portraying both the good and evil brothers to perfection. The highlight of Ernesto Díaz Espinoza’s film is surely the high-octane action sequences set against the backdrop of beautiful Chilean landscapes.

With John Wick: Chapter 4 exploding at the box office and Donnie Yen experience a new wave of popularity in North American, now’s the time to look at another of the movie’s stars who’s been around for a long time but is consistently underrated. Of course, that man is the great Scott Adkins! Those who know him, love him. With over 70 movies to his credit, the man has been in at least one thing everyone has seen, from Doctor Strange to X-Men Origins: Wolverine (as Weapon X), The Pink Panther, and so many more, He has been in something for everyone. For us, the highlights of his career are not necessarily the obvious titles when glancing at his resume.
Here are our some of our favorite Scott Adkins movies:
The Expendables 2 (2012)
Admittedly not as good as the first film, The Expendables 2 did bring a few good villains to the screen.

When casting the hottest action stars for John Wick: Chapter 4, Scott Adkins was a natural choice. Director Chad Stahelski has tried to get Adkins into all the John Wick movies, but due to scheduling conflicts it hasn’t worked out until now. Cast as Fat Killa in the new movie, Adkins is almost unrecognizable under the heavy makeup, gold grill, and fat suit. In real life, Adkins is devilishly handsome, so much so he often plays villains. He’s also built like Adonis but even more yoked. It’s a body he’s earned through a lifetime of martial arts practice.
In real life, the Adkins family are butchers by trade. Adkins was born and raised in England, and his first exposure to martial arts began at age 10 with Judo. When he was 13, he was the victim of a robbery, and that experience hardened his resolve. After that, he dedicated his life to training,...

John Wick is finally back in theatres, much to the delight of audiences and critics alike. John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently at 94% – both critically and with the audience score – on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s a very good thing, especially when the third sequel, and fourth film, is likely going to be the most successful film in the franchise thus far. Once again, the film stars Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, and Lance Reddick. Joining this incredible cast is Donnie Yen, Scott Adkins, and Bill Skarsgard, the film also features both Marko Zaror and Natalia Tena. And yes, this cast is just as good as they could possibly be.
We’ve been speaking to several cast members, as well as the film’s director, Chad Stahelski over the course of the past couple of weeks. It’s been fantastic to get inside this excellent masterclass in action. And the conversations continued with Marko Zaror,...

This article contains John Wick: Chapter 4 spoilers.
Chad Stahelski’s filmmaking career began 30 years ago when he performed some stunts for a direct-to-video ninja flick called Brain Smasher… A Love Story starring Andrew Dice Clay. Some 18 films later, and Stahelski had worked his way up the stunt-person ladder to serve as the stunt double for Neo, aka Mr. Keanu Reeves himself, in The Matrix. It was the beginning a beautiful friendship. He continued to work with Reeves for the second and third Matrix installments, rising to martial arts stunt choreographer’s chair, and then the two reunited for Constantine in 2005. It was a fruitful collaborative relationship, however it would become something else entirely when less than a decade later they partnered again, now as director and star, for Stahelski’s directorial debut, John Wick (2014).
According to Stahelski, neither he nor Reeves thought John Wick would become what it is today.

Every great hero needs great villains, so Director Chad Stahelski stacked the deck with the world’s leading action stars when it came time to check back in to action cinema’s Continental. John Wick (Keanu Reeves) demands opponents that can match the badassery of his franchise; and real life martial artists that can act. No other director today has such a keen eye for stunts and fight choreography as Stahelski. Assembling a cast of the heaviest hitters in Hollywood is the only way John Wick: Chapter 4 could level up. For any fan of the action genre, the names of Donnie Yen, Scott Adkins, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Marko Zaror instill massive respect. They all have extensive filmographies packed with thrilling action.

For what could very well be the final major set piece in the mainline "John Wick" series (spinoffs are coming), it makes sense that director Chad Stahelski and his incredible team of stunt performers would want to create the biggest, loudest scene they could. The climax ends up being a triptych of a sequence that takes place at three different locations: the Arc de Triomphe, an abandoned house of some kind, and finally the massive staircase leading to Sacré-Cœr. Some, including myself, would say it's a bit too much action, but there are unquestionably moments within this nearly 40 minute stretch that I marveled at.
Mostly, this occurred on the staircase, with dozens of assassins attempting to take down Keanu Reeves' titular hero before reaching the top for his duel with the Marquis de Gramont (Bill Skarsgård). Where it differs from the...

The day has finally come – John Wick: Chapter 4 has hit theaters with a vengeance and is already breaking franchise records. It’s pretty amazing that the first film came close to being dumped as a limited release/VOD movie, only for it to blow the roof off of Fantastic Fest and become a modest sleeper hit. Its trajectory is unique because each subsequent film made more money than the last. Usually, sequels play to diminishing returns, but for this franchise, it’s been anything but.

The original "John Wick" was a fairly straightforward action-packed affair that didn't necessarily offer up any deep meaning or contain some profound philosophical message. The casting of Keanu Reeves, coupled with innovative fight choreography, was enough to make a simple revenge tale seem a little more profound than it actually was. With the introduction of the assassin's hotel, the Continental, a chaotic world was suddenly given some parameters and a set of rules. It was just enough to make it appear as though there was much more going on underneath the surface.
Now, ten years on, "John Wick: Chapter 4" has crafted a mythic construct around the character of John Wick as the man who can't seem to outrun or out-shoot his past. For all his efforts, the body count keeps going up and Wick gets farther and farther away from home,...

The “John Wick” franchise has a reputation for razzle-dazzle filmmaking and serving as demo reels for some of the world’s finest – or at least most promising – action movie stars. “John Wick: Chapter 4” is no exception, with Donnie Yen taking center stage alongside franchise star Keanu Reeves, as Hiroyuki Sanada and Marko Zaror lend prestige and support. Bringing the opposite of “prestige,” at least in terms of the role he plays in the Chad Stahelski-directed actioner, is Scott Adkins.
Adkins has made a name for himself as one of the preeminent filmmakers in the world of direct-to-consumer (DVD/VOD/streaming/etc.) action movies. The likes of Adkins, Michael Jai White, Tony Jaa, Jean Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren hold court in low-budget genre flicks helmed by directors like Isaac Florentine, Jesse V. Keanu Reeves' brutally efficient assassin John Wick has been away from our screens for an extended period of time, largely thanks to the pandemic, but that all changes very, very soon with the release of "John Wick: Chapter 4." Reeves has once again reunited with director Chad Stahelski for what figures to be an epic adventure in the secret world of assassins, as this entry clocks in at just shy of three hours. That's a lot of headshots. That raises the rather important question: do viewers also have to sit through the credits?
While superhero movies have mode post-credits scenes commonplace, the "John Wick" series has not really been subject to them up to this point. But for those who are curious, we're here to offer up a spoiler-free guide for "Chapter 4." Seriously, no spoilers here, just information that you, dear reader, can put to good use when you see the movie in theaters.

The John Wick franchise is easily one of my favorites. And now the Keanu Reeves action series is back in a big way with the operatic John Wick: Chapter 4 (check out our review). The film excels at everything that mades these films work. It’s a thrill watching Reeves and company play in this wild world. This time around, the actor is joined by a few legendary action stars including Hiroyuki Sanada, Donnie Yen, and Scott Adkins. This is an amazing team. The cast also includes regulars Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, and of course, the wonderful Lance Riddick – blessings to his family and friends. And finally, man is it great to see Bill Skarsgard, Shamier Anderson, and the lovely Rina Sawayama involved in the insanity.

The code name on the invite: “Baba Yaga.”
Which as John Wick fans know, is the nickname of Keanu Reeves’ weary and unstoppable gun-fu assassin in Lionsgate’s hugely popular action franchise. The studio held a not-so-secret screening of the upcoming John Wick: Chapter 4 at South by Southwest Film & TV Festival in Austin on Monday afternoon (like all the best SXSW secrets, the news leaked days in advance).
The Chad Stahelski-directed movie is by far the longest Wick adventure yet, running just shy of three hours — nearly twice as long as the 2014 first film and about 40 minutes longer than Chapter 3. Each hour has one epic lengthy action sequence featuring the franchise’s characteristic mix of mayhem, violence, balletic physicality and morbid humor. Plus, the film includes a post-credits scene.
Reeves attended the event while appropriately dressed in a black suit. Fans were definitely invested in the action, with the crowd hooting and cheering throughout.

"Look at your pain. Throw everything away until you are weightless." Fly, Marko, fly away! Well Go has launched an official US trailer for a Chilean martial arts action film titled The Fist of the Condor, or just Fist of the Condor, the latest from a Chilean indie director named Ernesto Díaz Espinoza, who is best known for his rad low budget action films including Kiltro, Mirageman, Mandrill (from back in 2009). This just premiered at the 2023 Rotterdam Film Festival and is now set to open in US theaters this April. Catch it on the big screen! Upon the empire’s fall to invading conquistadors, the 16th-century Incas quickly concealed a sacred manual containing the secrets behind their deadly fighting technique. But after centuries of careful safeguarding, the manual is again at risk of falling into the wrong hands, leaving its guardian to battle the world's greatest assassins to protect the secrets within.

In a little under a decade, the "John Wick" franchise has managed to establish itself as one of the all-time greats in the action pantheon. Keanu Reeves is owed a lot of credit for his skills on screen as the deadly assassin, and if the early buzz is to be believed about the upcoming "John Wick: Chapter 4," it's clear the series is in no danger of getting stale. With presumed box office success coming, one must wonder: Is "John Wick: Chapter 5" all but guaranteed? Probably. But will director Chad Stahelski return? That's another question entirely.
/Film's Vanessa Armstrong recently spoke with Stahelski in anticipation of the fourth entry in the series. Stahelski has been at the helm for each and every movie thus far, so, naturally, the subject of "Chapter 5" came up. The filmmaker was by no means committal in regards to his involvement, saying, "Somewhere, maybe somebody will do it.

“John Wick: Chapter 4” officially bowed at its London premiere Monday evening, with the social media reactions embargo lifting during the event.
The fourth entry picks up following the end of “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” which saw Keanu Reeves’ infamous assassin take a tumble from atop the Continental Hotel after being betrayed by his confidante Winston (Ian McShane). Of course, Wick lives. “Chapter 4” finds the deadly pariah traveling the globe to free himself from the rule of the elusive, cutthroat High Table.
The critical darling action series has drawn strong praise in its first round of reactions, especially for its deep bench of sparring partners that includes Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Marko Zazor, Scott Adkins and Rina Sawayama. Another central topic of opinion is the film’s runtime, which clocks in at a lengthy two hours and 49 minutes — 38 minutes longer than the previous entry’s.

"He deserves his revenge." Check out this early teaser trailer for an indie action film from Chile titled The Fist of the Condor, which is premiering at the 2023 Rotterdam Film Festival - underway right now. This is the latest film from a Chilean indie director named Ernesto Díaz Espinoza, who is best known for his rad low budget action films including Kiltro, Mirageman, Mandrill (we reviewed this one back in 2009). This one also stars Marko Zaror, who also produced and has appeared in plenty of his films before. A group of martial artists from around the world search for a book that contains the ancient secrets of how to overcome the limits of the human body - tracking down one man known as El Guerrero. The cast also includes Gina Aguad, Eyal Meyer, Man Soo Yoon, Jose Manuel, & Fernanda Urrejola. This is clearly a throwback tribute to cheesy action films from the 80s & 90s,...

You can run, you can hide, and you can even go out and dry clean your finest bulletproof suit, but none of it will matter because the Baba Yaga is back ... again. In what has become one of the most bloodthirsty sagas of our modern action era, "John Wick: Chapter 4" is set to continue the harrowing adventures of one man simply trying to get out of the assassin game for good, no matter how many headshots and sword fights he has to get through first. Even diehard fans of the original 2014 masterpiece couldn't have envisioned the Keanu Reeves-starring thriller to spawn three sequels and counting. But here we are, over eight years later, looking forward to the fourth installment in a series that serves as the ultimate cautionary tale for reading the fine print whenever you sign on for a new job.

For a silly vanity project, Green Ghost And The Masters Of The Stone is a comedic fantasy that may be worth a look as family entertainment. A Texas Nissan dealer named Charlie Clark stars in and co-wrote the tale of a wannabe luchador (masked Mexican wrestler) who finds himself in the middle of a supernatural struggle among ancient powers. He’s far less prepared to become The One than Keanu was in the Matrix. His training and the big battle ensue, per the usual course of events for these things. So usual that they even play Eye of the Tiger during the former. The rights to that song may have been the most expensive part of the production.
There are a few laughs along the way, variably offering a fantasy adventure and spoofing the genre. Telling the two apart from moment to moment may be up for debate. Perhaps the...

When a film opens with Scott Adkins rising from the mud with a scream in Indochina circa 1959, you begin cultivating expectations. You forgive the ham-fisted voiceover narration and the quick slow motion cuts disorienting place and time. You forgive the lack of context as to why this man (and a woman too) was trapped under mud in the first place because you’re re-situating yourself in your seat to brace for the impact of the actor’s fists against the flesh of whomever put him there. Maybe the woman is a love interest. Maybe she won’t survive. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I hoped she wouldn’t so the bloodlust could increase further towards revenge. Sadly, vengeance — why I sat down at all — is still an hour away.

Ok, let’s all just say it together. Scott Adkins is the saviour of Dtv action movies. Charismatic, skilled and just a downright badass (and likeable) actor, whatever Adkins seemingly touches turns to gold – the Universal Soldier franchise was improved by his addition, as was the Undisputed series: in fact he made that particular fighting franchise Better with each and every sequel. Even the football-themed series Green Street was made watchable by the appearance of Adkins in the third installment, and that coming from someone who, typically, refuses to watch movies based on idiotic football hooligans.
Hold on… Turns out I may have a man-crush on Scott Adkins! And that’s not a bad thing.

You've gotta watch this trailer for the upcoming action thriller Savage Dog, which features Scott Adkins (Doctor Strange, The Expendables II) kicking ass as he embarks on a mission for revenge.
The movie looks like it came straight out of the early 1990s, which is why I'm kind of looking forward to watching it. I've seen a few trailers for upcoming action films recently that reminded me of movies from the 90s. Are 90s-style action movies making a comeback!? Yeah, it looks like a very low-budget flick, but sometimes it's just fun to sit back, relax, and watch a fun movie like this. Here's the synopsis:
Indochina, 1959. A Wild West town controlled by the criminal class: Vietnamese warlords and European war criminals. The worst prison in the land, it is here that a European, former-champion boxer Martin Tilman (Scott Adkins) has made a name for himself fighting tournaments. When Tilman is due for release,...

"There's a tale told somewhere south of Burma. The tale tells of a man..." XLrator Media has debuted an official trailer for an action movie titled Savage Dog, which looks like it's straight out of the 90s as an action movie mixing guns and martial arts and a ridiculous revenge plot and so much more. Scott Adkins stars as a former champion boxer stuck in a prison in Indochina in the late 1950s. When he is released, the people running the jail don't want him to leave and so he must figure out a way to get home. The full cast includes Marko Zaror, Juju Chan, Cung Le, Vladimir Kulich, Charles Fathy, Matthew Marsden, Sheena Chou, and the incomparable Keith David. I really don't know how to describe this, it has some cool action but it seriously looks like this was made 30 years ago and kept in a vault until now.

Vidyut Jamwal is an actor with the skills, looks, and talent to become an international action regular. I hesitate to say he could be a star on the level of someone like Jackie Chan or Jet Li, but he certainly as at least as much charisma as someone like Tony Jaa or Iko Uwais. He's good fashion model good looks, a physique good enough to dampen the loins of the women of the world, and his martial arts and gymnastic skills are solid enough to give someone like Jaa a run for his money with the size of someone like Michael Jai White of Marko Zaror. So why isn't he a star yet? Probably because of films like Commando 2: The Black Money Trail. In...
