After Trump Campaign Posts Video Referencing A ‘Unified Reich,’ Biden Blasts Use ‘Hitler’s Language’
Former President Donald Trump’s campaign deleted a video showing the words “unified Reich” from social media, which caused an uproar.
On May 20, Trump’s Truth Social account shared a 30-second campaign video that displayed a message about a “unified Reich” in America if he becomes president again this November.
The video, deleted from Truth Social and Instagram on Tuesday, had also been posted to the former president’s Instagram account.
It contained a series of headlines predicting “what happens after Donald Trump wins” and “what’s next for America,” with responses like, “Economy Booms!” and “15 Million Illegal Aliens Deported.”
The somewhat blurred text appeared beneath the headlines two times in the clip.
“Industrial strength significantly increased … driven by the creation of a unified Reich,” the text read.
The term “Reich” means “realm” or “empire,” which is often associated with Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich, which began in Nazi Germany...

It is often said that some actors are just destined to play some roles. Just as Robert Downey Jr. was apparently destined to play Iron Man, Daniel Radcliffe to play Harry Potter, Henry Cavill to play Superman, Val Kilmer too was supposedly set to play Batman at least once.
Val Kilmer as Batman in Batman Forever | Warner Bros Pictures
Despite having starred in just one Dark Knight movie, Batman Forever, Kilmer did a spectacular job of portraying the iconic superhero. While his portrayal has now left a long-lasting impression on the DC character’s legacy, the tale behind his casting will convince any fan that playing Batman was his destiny.

Another season of The Masked Singer is ready to end, and fans are eagerly trying to guess the identities of the two remaining contestants.
Fans have not been so excited for another reveal since Season 10 of The Masked Singer unmasked Ne-Yo as the Cow.
Fans have debated who is who during the episodes all season long, and the finale is no different.
With Gumball and Goldfish as the two remaining characters, fans declare who they think is who, and the list is long for both characters.
Not only do we need to find out who they are, but the winner is still up in the air. Their singing styles are vastly different, yet both are amazing. At this point, it remains anyone’s game.

Andy Cohen asserted that he had “no regrets” about the way he’s handled anything during his tenure at Bravo, even as the network finds itself at the center of what former Real Housewives star Bethenny Frankel has called the “reality reckoning.”
In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cohen addressed several accusations leveled against the Real Housewives franchise: Eboni Williams’ allegations of racism; Brandi Glanville and Caroline Manzo’s sexual harassment complaints; and Leah McSweeney’s claims that she was plied with alcohol while trying to stay sober.

Uri Singer’s Passage Pictures has acquired the rights to the Rich Cohen nonfiction book The Fish that Ate the Whale about America’s “banana king” and the implications that his reign had on multiple Latin American countries.
Cohen’s book, which was published in 2013 via Macmillan imprint Picador, tells the story of Samuel Zemurray who, according to the book’s synopsis, “rises through the banana trade to become America’s Banana King and the president of United Fruit. As a businessman and power broker, Zemurray’s story led to the origin of the phrase ‘Banana Republic’ and influenced the political future of several Latin American countries, including working with the CIA to lead the 1954 coup in Guatemala.”
Passage previously worked on an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s White Noise, directed by Noah Baumbach for Netflix. Singer is also set to produce the DeLillo adaptation Underworld, with Ted Melfi attached the direct for Netflix.

The X-Men franchise has always had a special part in the hearts of fans of the superhero genre. Over the years, the mutants have become a symbol of inclusion, rightly so. The entire credit of bringing these fan-favorite comic characters to life goes to none other than filmmaker Bryan Singer who is responsible for films like X-Men and Days of Future Past.

In his dream film, he would have loved to have renowned filmmaker James Cameron as the producer. In fact, Chris Claremont had a completely different casting for both Wolverine and Storm in his mind.

The X-Men saga at Fox has ended, but it has created an everlasting impact following the X-Men mythos. However, not everything can be preserved in a film. Comb through the Oscar nominations this year and you’ll find that there records being broken left, right, and center while more records could be matched or broken at the ceremony this coming Sunday on March 10.
One of those such records concerns the Best Original Screenplay category, in which the nominees are “Anatomy of a Fall” (Justine Triet and Arthur Harari), “The Holdovers” (David Hemingson), “Maestro” (Bradley Cooper and Josh Singer), “May December” (Samy Burch and Alex Mechanik), and “Past Lives” (Celine Song).

Classic rom-com When Harry Met Sally originally had a more heartbreaking ending where Harry and Sally didn’t get together. Here’s why that was changed.
It’s hard to imagine a rom-com that is more perfect, more iconic than When Harry Met Sally. Rob Reiner’s 1989 classic has long been considered one of the best of the genre and is often looked at as a blueprint for how to make a romantic comedy work.
Well, it turns out that the ending of When Harry Met Sally was originally very different. The current ending sees Harry confess his love for Sally at a New Year’s Eve party and the two get married and live happily ever after.

The first shot after the opening titles of Tilman Singer’s savvily conceived but undercooked Cuckoo is like a reverse angle of the opening shot of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. Here, a family drives through beautiful but implicitly foreboding mountainous terrain. And we’re located in the cab of the car with Gretchen (Hunter Schafer), an angsty teen who’s been forced to relocate from her home in the U.S. to a relatively remote corner of the Bavarian Alps.
Steep, imposingly snow-capped, and dotted with romantic castles and high-end ski lodges, the Bavarian Alps are tourist magnets, and justifiably so. But this part of Germany was also a favorite of Hitler’s, and today it’s the heart of traditional conservativism in the country. Like Appalachia in the U.S., it’s a place a horror movie might take us to in search of scary people—except here...

Nearly two years have gone by since we heard that production had wrapped on Cuckoo, a new horror film from writer/director Tilman Singer that stars Hunter Schafer (Euphoria), Dan Stevens (The Guest), Jessica Henwick (Love and Monsters), Marton Csókás (Freelance), Greta Fernández (Santo), and Jan Bluthardt (Tatort) – but we’re finally going to have the chance to see it very soon, as Neon will be giving Cuckoo a theatrical release on May 3rd. The film has been shrouded in secrecy this whole time, but during a new interview with Variety Schafer has revealed some new details… like the fact that Cuckoo sees her getting covered in blood and facing off with a bird-like monster!
First, here’s a refresher on the official synopsis: Reluctantly, 17-year-old Gretchen leaves her American home to live with her father, who has just moved into a resort in the German Alps with his new family.

With “Cuckoo,” German director Tilman Singer expands on the scope of his impressive 2018 debut (the demonic-possession-meets-therapeutic-improv exercise “Luz”) while retaining that film’s bird-flipping attitude toward unnecessary niceties like coherent plotting or narrative logic. Singer makes what ought to be his breakthrough with “Cuckoo,” an energetically outlandish fusion of stylish atmospherics, old-school reproductive horror and pro-switchblade advertorial. The profile of this highly enjoyable, unashamedly convoluted creepfest will be further raised by “Euphoria” star Hunter Schafer’s terrific Final Girl performance and by Dan Stevens’ hilariously eccentric villain, the second recent showcase for Stevens’ excellent spoken German after Maria Schrader’s “I’m Your Man.” Few are the films and fewer are the actors who can get such sinister mileage out of a character’s insistently Teutonic, semi-sibilant mispronunciation of the name “Gretchen.”

Euphoria star Hunter Schafer stole the show at the Berlin Film Festival press conference on Friday for Tilman Singer’s horror movie Cuckoo which is world premiering at the city’s 2,500-capacity Verti Music Hall this evening.
Schafer stars as Gretchen who travels to a resort town in German Alps with her father and stepmother where she is drawn into a conspiracy involving bizarre experiments by the resort’s owner that echo back generations.
Following press screenings ahead of this evening’s premiere, the movie is already generating buzz among genre and horror fans.
Hailed as a new “Scream Queen” by one of the journalists at the press conference, Schafer double checked what they meant before replying.
“A scream queen is by definition someone who does a lot of horror movies, right?,” she asked, before suggesting in her answer that she was not planning to focus uniquely on horror in the future.

What is “Cuckoo” about? What actually happens in it? How important is it for a movie to make sense? We can’t answer any of these questions. And nor can “Cuckoo,” an undoubtedly well-made and almost-interesting psychological thriller about a strange Alpine resort where — and we can’t stress this enough — it’s not clear what actually happens.
Some basic bits are, however, clear: Hunter Schafer is definitely in it, as Gretchen, a 17-year-old girl and general tortured soul forced to move in with her dad Luis (Marton Csokas), step-mom Beth (Jessica Henwick), and young step-sister Alma (Mila Lieu) after the death of her mother. Gretchen insists on having nothing to do with Alma, an arbitrarily cruel stance seemingly for the sake of a redemption arc later in the film.

The marketing thus far behind upcoming horror movie Cuckoo, from Neon and director Tilman Singer (Luz), has been refreshingly enigmatic so far, giving only the barest hints of its plot. New plot details have emerged in a recent Variety interview with star Hunter Schafer (“Euphoria”), and they sound absolutely bonkers.
Cuckoo is coming to theaters on May 3, 2024.
In Cuckoo: “Reluctantly, 17-year-old Gretchen leaves her American home to live with her father, who has just moved into a resort in the German Alps with his new family. Arriving at their future residence, they are greeted by Mr. König, her father’s boss, who takes an inexplicable interest in Gretchen’s mute half-sister Alma. Something doesn’t seem right in this tranquil vacation paradise. Gretchen is plagued by strange noises and bloody visions until she discovers a shocking secret that also concerns her own family.”

Tilman Singer, emerging as a distinctive voice in the horror genre with his debut, Luz (2018), is set to captivate the horror community once again with his upcoming film, Cuckoo. Slated for release on May 3, this film promises to blend psychological horror with supernatural elements against the hauntingly beautiful backdrop of the German Alps.
The Plot of Cuckoo
At the heart of Cuckoo is the story of 17-year-old Gretchen, who, with great reluctance, moves to join her father and his new family in a resort nestled in the German Alps. “I am so sorry to inform the Tacoma ticket holders that the two shows October 17 and October 18 will be postponed,” she wrote on Instagram. “Live Nation is working on future dates to reschedule. She is currently in the middle of her Summer Carnival 2023 Tour that started on June 7 with the North American leg of the tour beginning on July 24. She is set to complete that segment on November 26 in Arlington, Texas.

“The Masked Singer” has officially made it to 10 seasons. On Sunday night, they celebrated in full force with a huge lead-in as the new football season kicks off. Following the start of the NFL’s 104th season, the show aired a special standalone episode with a huge unmasking.
Though this season’s competition hasn’t officially begun — we have to wait a couple more weeks for that — the episode featured performances from “Masked Singer” alums including Michelle Williams, Rumer Willis, Joey Fatone, Bow Wow and others. This time though, they didn’t have to perform in costume. Still, this is “The Masked Singer,” so there was one person under a mask on the night.
Known as Anonymouse, the singer took the stage to sing Heart’s “What About Love?” — a perfect song, considering the giant mouse’s outfit. With a studded leather jacket and combat boots, she rocked out exactly...

It’s fitting that Grant Singer opens Reptile, his meandering feature directorial debut, with an “Angel of the Morning” needle drop. Chip Taylor composed that aching tune about a one-night stand because he wanted to capture a passionate and ephemeral feeling. “It was beyond words,” he has said of the 1967 song. “And that is the power.”
Singer, like Taylor, reaches for the ineffable. The director, who’s helmed music videos for pop music royalty up until this point, is obsessed with controlling atmosphere and setting the mood. He crowds Reptile with gripping sequences, suspenseful moments, dramatic pauses and surprising levity — elements that, despite their overuse, keep the audience on edge and strategically blur the lines between dreams and reality. A malevolent score by Berlin-based composer Yair Elazar Glotman, with an assist from Venezuelan musician Arca, helps calibrate this tension and adds to the movie’s overall mysterious air.

The makeup artist behind Bradley Cooper’s Leonard Bernstein movie Maestro has said he didn’t expect the backlash to the film’s prosthetic nose, which has been criticised by some as an example of ‘jewface’.
Speaking at the Venice Film Festival press conference for the film, Kazu Hiro was asked about the social media backlash: “I wasn’t expecting it to happen. I feel sorry if I hurt some people’s feeling. I wanted to portray Lenny as real as possible. He’s photogenic and a great person, we wanted to respect and love that look. We did several different tests. That was our [only] intention.”
The movie has been the subject of some controversy in recent weeks due to Cooper — who is not Jewish — using prosthetics to enlarge his nose to capture Jewish composer. Bernstein’s family has defended the actor-director.

20th Century Fox's Studios' third "X-Men" film changed a lot due to the departure of director Bryan Singer, who was replaced by Brett Ratner (the franchise trading one accused sex offender for another).
Part of Singer's unrealized plans for this trilogy capper, ultimately subtitled "The Last Stand," was to introduce a famous comic character played by an A-List star. Screenwriter Dan Harris, who left the project to work on "Superman Returns" with Singer, revealed back in 2004:
"We were going to do 'X-Men 3' for a little while and our big secret or coup was -- and it's not going to happen so it's Ok -- we wanted to have a character that was Emma Frost, a famous 'X-Men' character. She's called the White Queen. We were going to ask Sigourney [Weaver] to be it. She was an empath in our version of the movie, which means she could control people's emotions.

In the wake of Lizzo reportedly preparing to file a countersuit against the former backup dancers suing her for sexual harassment, a lawyer for plaintiffs Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez is firing back.
In a statement to Page Six, attorney Ron Zambrano — who represents the three women, blasted the singer’s countersuit.
“Lizzo’s threat to countersue for malicious prosecution is an insidious attempt at intimidation and delivers a chilling effect to all harassment victims in the workplace,” said Zambrano.

Producers behind “The Blind Side” have issued a statement affirming the authenticity of Michael Oher’s story as told in the film, responding to Oher’s recent allegations that the Tuohy family fabricated his adoption and instead placed him in a conservatorship that he is still restricted to.
“We feel it is now important for us to respond to some recent media reports, which include many mischaracterizations and uninformed opinions,” Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, “Blind Side” producers of and co-founders of Alcon Entertainment, said in a statement Thursday. “The impetus for these stories has been a lawsuit by Michael Oher, which seems to have given critics and journalists alike a justification to unfairly pick apart the movie fourteen years later – some going so far as to call it ‘fake’ or a ‘lie.’”

On Aug. 1, three of Lizzo's former dancers filed a lawsuit against the 35-year-old musician. In the suit, obtained by NBC News, plaintiffs Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez detailed the hostile work environment they allegedly endured during their time on tour, including weight shaming, verbal altercations, and forced participation in a sex show. They also claimed that the captain of Lizzo's dance team, Shirlene Quigley, frequently overshared personal details about her sex life and religious beliefs during rehearsals, identifying one of the plaintiffs as a "non-believer" and openly discussing the virginity of another in interviews and on social media.
On Aug. 23, the Los Angeles Times reported that Lizzo had reached a settlement with 14 dancers six months before news about the new lawsuit broke. In 2022, according to the outlet, 14 dancers alleged that behind-the-scenes footage of them was used without their consent in Lizzo's HBO Max documentary, "Love Lizzo." Alan Brunswick,...

With the WGA strike showing no sign of resolution, Fox is following ABC's lead with a schedule that doesn't rely on scripted dramas.
The network rolled out a fall slate that's 100% unscripted and animated programming.
Dan Harmon's long-delayed new animated series, Krapopolis, is getting the big promotional push.
It will debut out of an NFL game on Sunday, September 24.
It's common for Fox to use this tactic to get eyes on its new shows.
Decent sampling for a premiere is necessary to give them the best possible chance of success.
Krapopolis will be joined on Sundays by animated mainstays The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, and Family Guy.
Snake Oil is a new quiz show that will be paired with The Masked Singer on Wednesdays.
The Masked Singer has been a success for Fox since its premiere, so there will be some normalcy by having the show on the air in the fall.

(Updated with a statement from Jonah Hill’s attorney) Jonah Hill has been accused of “predatory behavior” by Alexa Nikolas, the former child star of Zoey 101 fame, in a thread posted to Twitter over the weekend, recounting an alleged incident from the time she was 16.
Nikolas’ comments were prompted by a series of recent Instagram posts by Hill’s one-time girlfriend Sarah Brady, in which she accused the actor of being an “emotionally abusive”, “misogynist narcissist.”
Wrote Nikolas in her first tweet on July 8th, “After reading Sarah Brady’s admirable post about #JonahHill I just gotta say when I was 16 I got invited to a house party at #justinlongs house.”
Nikolas claimed that at the party, Hill, “slammed me to the door and shoved his tongue down my throat. I was so appalled I pushed him off of me and ran inside.”

Elton John raised the roof at Glastonbury last night in what could be the Rocketman singer’s last ever performance, and he was watched by more than 7M viewers on the BBC. The figure was almost triple that of Paul McCartney’s headline slot in 2022.
The legendary British singer’s three-hour performance drew a near-50% audience share and becomes one of the most-watched TV shows of the year so far, according to Barb data from overnights.tv, just behind Happy Valley. His performance was by miles the most-watched Glastonbury set across the weekend on the BBC, which shows wall-to-wall coverage of the Worthy Farm fest.
At the festival, early estimates had the performance as one of the most-watched of all time, possibly eclipsing Dolly Parton in 2014 at well over 100,000.
John, who has previously said last night would be his final ever performance, trawled through all the hits across a five-decades-long...

The original cast of the Real Housewives of New York is back together to begin filming their spin-off, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, also called Rhony Legacy.
The upcoming spin-off came with on-and-off drama, as some housewives blamed each other for the delay of its filming, saying unclear contract negotiations were at the base of the misunderstandings.
Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer and Kristen Taekman are all set to appear in the fifth season of Rhony Legacy.
Singer surprised fans with her return, notably stating last November that she would not take part in the new season.
She posted a series of photos of their first day in St Bart’s, captioning it, “Let the ultimate girls trip begin.”
Fans noticed Jill Zarin‘s and Bethenny Frankel‘s absence and asked if “Jill [was] flying in to surprise everyone?” and if “Bethenny [was] there yet?...

Eboni K. Williams appeared in only one season of The Real Housewives of New York City, but she believes the Rhony reboot was springboarded from the impact she made on season 13.
“I’m rooting for these new women in this reboot,” Williams told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “This reboot is my legacy. This is a derivative of the disruption that my presence brought to this show. So I want these women to win. At the same time, they’re also not a preexisting group of friends.”
“So you’re kind of right back where you started from, which is why before cameras went up, they had to come down. They had their first scandal before they even hit air,” Williams said, referring to the casting scramble after Lizzy Savetsky was abruptly off the cast.”
“And that was also a really s***ty, awful situation. I hope they were able to get...

Add Samuel Alito to the list of conservative Supreme Court justices with questionable (at best) ethics, according to a new report from ProPublica.
In 2008, two years after he joined the nation’s highest court, Alito went on a pricey Alaskan fishing trip with a Republican billionaire named Paul Singer. Singer even flew Alito out on his private jet. Alito didn’t report the trip, nor did he recuse himself when Singer’s hedge fund had a case come before the court.
ProPublica sent Alito a series of questions about the trip.
