- A modern day, alternate-reality drama about a hero who rises to become the King of his nation, based on the biblical story of King David.
- The crew of a research vessel are on a quest to find a missing TV explorer in the Amazon.
- Queen Rose proves to be quite the manipulator, especially where her family is concerned, when she arranges for David to be ejected from a state affair and out of her daughter's reach. Since David now has the evening free, Price Jack takes him for a night on the town which leads to some awkward and compromising situations. King Silas attempts to divine God's will to save his beloved but deathly ill, illegitimate second son.
- When King Silas expands the territory to be transferred to Gath in the peace settlement David's family is caught in no man's land. David becomes embroiled in the conflict as tensions boil over and David must choose between loyalty to king or family.

- The story begins following the "Wars of Unification" that left King Silas Benjamin as head of Kingdom of Gilboa. A farm boy, David Shepherd, serving on the front lines in an ongoing war with the neighboring nation of Gath, rises to instant celebrity when he rescues the King's son after he is captured by Gath forces and is photographed standing face to face with a tank nick named Goliath. Of course he gains the King's favor becoming a useful pawn in the King's political machinations but inadvertently leads to a falling out between the King and his son.
- The King of Gath and his entourage arrive in Shiloh to sign the peace treaty but conflicts immediately surface. David weighs his decision to remain in Shiloh while Silas considers his assassination. David becomes embroiled in the treaty tensions and his impulsiveness risks both the treaty and his life.

Furthermore, they found found out that Emmet is alive since he was speaking through one of the crew members and continued their quest.
- As the search continues for Emmet and his crew, the Magus comes across one of Emmet's crew members who went missing alongside Emmet. They soon discover that he's been cursed and learn the mystical story behind the curse, which is now a matter of life and death. Lincoln faces a challenge when the rest of the crew want to leave their plagued colleague behind to continue the mission, and he must try to be their moral compass.
- When the spirit of Dr. Emmet Cole mysteriously enters Jahel, the message is clear: go home! Instead, Tess determines to go into the jungle to find clues to Cole's whereabouts. While on their mission, they discover a tree draped in children's dolls that they suspect is there to ward off the "spirit of the abandoned girl" who drowned in the river. Then, when a member of the crew goes missing, the group realize they'll have to endure a nightmare in order to appease an angry spirit and get their loved one back.
- When the whole crew of the Magus goes blind due to spores from a tree, lone holdout AJ will have to overcome his most paralyzing fear to find a cure before the blindness becomes permanent. Meanwhile, the local Morcego tribe stalks the crew and judges whether they are worthy to stay in the jungle. If they are deemed unworthy, the consequences could be fatal.
- The Magus crew continue their trek to the Sahte Falls where they discover Emmet's camera bag. Upon further examination of the tapes within it, they find some powerful footage of Emmet that shows him spiraling out of control, and it leads the crew further into the Amazon. Meanwhile, Lena reveals a secret she's been carrying to a fellow crew member.
- The Magus crew are run aground by another vessel, and soon learn that the seemingly welcoming crew members of a ship claiming to have come to their rescue have in fact a very different agenda, causing a dire, life-and-death situation. The crew also make a shocking discovery that will leave one of them in tears.
